378. BHULUGU BHO NUMBU BHOGULYA NA BHABHUYU

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako yingilile kubhuli bho numbu. Ubhuli bhunubho bhuli bho pye abhanhu, kunguno inumbu itiniguha. Kuyiniyo lulu, igaliyagwa nabho bhalina  bhuyu, kunguyo ya bhunogolelu bhoyo, na hangi ilindonu noyi. Abhanhu bhayitogilwe uguilya. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, ‘b’ulugu b’o numbu b’o gulya na b’ab’uyu.’

Akahayile kenako kayalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo adebhile ugub’agalila chiza abhanhu bhakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo adeb’ile ijo bhalijihaya abhanhu bhakwe bhenabho. Abhanhu nabho bhatogilwe ugwikala nang’hwe nungaliji obhanhu ng’wunuyo, kunguno uweyi aliobhanhu bhose. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, ‘b’ulugu b’o numbu b’ogulya na b’ab’uyu.’

Akahayike kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kubhagalila chiza pye abhanhu ,bho nduhu ugubhakomanya magele, kugiki bhadule ugujib’eja chiza ikaya jabho.

Hangi, nu Yesu adabhakomanya abhanhu abho bhali na moyo ng’wela ugwegela aha bhukaristia, pye na bhab’uyu agegeleja duhu.

KISWAHILI: VITA VYA VIAZI NI KULA HATA VIBOGOYO

Chanzo cha msemo huo chatokea kwenye ulaji wa viazi. Ulaji huo ni wa watu wote, kwa sababu viazi havina mfupa. Kwa hiyo basi, huwa vinaliwa hata na watu ambao ni vibogoyo, kwa sababu ya ulaini wake, na utamu wake pia. Watu hupenda kuvila. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, ‘vita vya viazi ni kula hata vibogoyo.’

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu ambaye afahamu kuwatunza watu wake kwa kuwaandalia vyakula vizuri. Mtu huyo afahamu mahitaji ya watu wake hao. Watu wake nao hupenda kuishi naye mtunzaji huyo mzuri wa watu wote. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, ‘vita vya viazi ni kula hata vibogoyo.’

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwatunza watu wote bila ubaguzi wa kuwagawa katika makundi watu hao, ili waweze kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao.

Yesu habagui watu wenye moyo safi katika kuishiri Ekaristi Takatifu, hushiriki wote hata na vibogoyo, bila ugaguzi.

ENGLISH: THE FIGHT FOR POTATOES EVEN TOOTHLESS PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED.

The source of the above saying comes from potatoes. Potatoes as food are consumed by all people, even toothless ones because potatoes do not have bones. Children and adults as well can eat them without problems and is one of the food stuffs that is liked by the majority of the people.

The saying can be compared to someone who knows how to take care of his/her people by preparing good food. Such a person is aware of the needs of his/her people. His/her people would love to live with this wonderful caretaker of all people. This is why people can say, ‘the fight for potatoes even toothless people are involved.’

The saying teaches people to take care of all people without prejudice. They don’t have to divide people into groups rather consider them as equals before God.

Jesus does not discriminate people in sharing the Holy Eucharist. He invites them to participate in His holy union.

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako yingilile kubhuli bho jiliwa jawiza bho ng’wa Chelemengo. Ijiliwa jinijo jigaliyagwa bho bhuyegi, kunguno ya wiza bhojo ubho b’ugan’winhaga unii ojo, nhumbu nhale ya kujilya.

Aliyo lulu, ijiliwa ija bhub’i jiginjaga inhumbu ya gujilya, kunguno amiso ga bhali bhajo, gadatogagwa ujibhona. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, ‘Chelemengo adalyaga jab’ub’i.’

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agikalaga na nhungwa jawiza umuwikaji bhokwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo agabhalelaga chiza abhanhu bhakwe, kunguyo ya kikalile kakwe akagubhatogwa na gubhambilija abho bhali mumakoye. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, ‘Chelemengo adalyaga jab’ub’i.

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuleka nhungwa ja b’ub’i, umuwikaji bhobho, kugiki bhadule ugwikala bho mholele na b’ichab’o.

KISWAHILI: CHELEMENGO HALI VYAKULA VILIVYO VIBAYA

Chanzo cha msemo huo chatokea kwenye ulaji wa chakula kilicho kizuri, wa Chelemengo. Chakula hicho huliwa kwa furaha na walaji wake, kwa sababu ya uzuri ambao humpa mlaji hamu ya kuendelea kukila.

Lakini basi, chakula kilicho kibaya au kichafu, huondoa hamu ya kukila kwa walaji wake. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, ‘Chelemengo hali vyakula vilivyo vibaya.’

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu ambaye huwa na tabia njema maishani mwake. Mtu huyo huwalea vizuri watu wake, kwa sababu ya mwenendo wake mzuri, wa kuwapenda watu na kuwasaidia wenzake walioko kwenye matatizo, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, ‘Chelemengo hali vyakula vilivyo vibaya.’

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na tabia za kutenda maovu, maishani mwao, ili waweze kuishi kwa amani na wenzao.

ENGLISH: CHELEMENGO DOES NOT FEED ON BAD FOOD.

The source of the above saying comes from Chelemengo and its habit of eating good food. This food, because is good, it is happily eaten by its consumers and it gives them the desire to continue eating it. On the contrary, bad food takes off the consumers’appetites. This is why people say ‘Chelemango does not feed on bad food’ to mean the need for having good food in life.

This saying can be compared to someone who has good manners in life. Such a person is likely to nurture other people well because of his/her good conduct, loving people and helping others.

The above saying teaches people to break free from evil practices in their lives so that they can live in peace with others.

Gashinaga lulu ub’ujiku b’ugalihaga guti ng’waka (b’ujiku ng’waka). Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, ‘tulo lufu.’

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agikalaga chiza na bhanhu bhakwe, haho adinaja ugujulala ib’ujiku, kunguno adeb’ile igiki, bhuli jisumva jilacha.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agabhalangaga na bhiye ahigulya ya gutumama milimo yabho bho gub’ambilija abhichabho gwikala bho mholele, na bhanhu, haho b’adinacha, kunguno bhadamanile ulushigu ulogucha. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, ‘tulo lufu.’

Viumbe hao wakilala hawa hawajitambui, kwa sababu wao huwa kama wamekufa. kwa vile huwa hawatambui jambo lolote. Kumbe basi, usiku huwa mlefu kwa mwaka  (usiku mwaka). Ndiyo maawa watu husema kwamba, ‘usinzizi kifo.’

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu ambaye huishi vizuri na watu wake, kwa sababu yeye afahamu kwamba, kila mmoja atakufa. Mtu huyo huwafundisha pia wenzake juu ya kuishi kwa amani na watu kabla ya kufa, kwa sababu wahaijui siku ya kufa. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, ‘tulo lufu.’

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kupenda kuishi kwa amani na wenzao, ili waweze kuwaachia urithi wa kufaa maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: SLEEPING IS DEATH.

The source of the above saying comes from sleep and death. At night time, breathing organisms always fall asleep. These sleeping beings do not make sense of themselves when asleep. They appear like being dead. This is why people can tell such people that ‘sleeping is death.’

The saying can be compared to someone who lives well with his/her people because he/she knows that everyone will eventually die. Such a person also teaches his/her colleagues how to live in peace with people before they die because they do not know the day of their death. This is why people can say, ‘sleeping is death.’

The saying teaches people about a need to live in peace with neighbors so that they can leave a legacy for living a good life on earth.

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako yingilile kubhutumami bho nimo mulushigu lo Nyuma. Ulu munhu uyo adasalilaga umona ng’wiye otumamaga nimo ntale, agung’wila giki, otumamaga na lushigu ulo guleka milimo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, ‘ilelo otumama na lo Nyuma,’ mumho otumamaga nimo ntale.

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agatumamaga milimo ukunhu ankujije Mulungu. Umunhu ng’wunuyo agabhalanjaga na bhiye ahigulya ya kub’iza na bhukamu bho gutumama milimo yabho umushigu ija milimo, kugiki, bhaje bhagasalile ulushigu ulo Nyuma. Hunagwene umunhu ng’wunuyo ulu omona ng’wiye alikumilimo umulushugu ulo Nyuma, agang’wilaga giki, ‘ilelo otumama na lo Nyuma.’

Chanzo cha msemo huo chatokea kwenye ufanyaji wa kazi kwenye siku ya Jumapili. Mtu ambaye hasali akimuona mwenzake amefanya kazi kubwa, humwambia kwamba, “leo umefanya kazi na Jumapili,’ maana yake amefanya kazi kubwa.’

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu ambaye hufanya kazi zake kwa kumtukuza Mungu. Mtu huyo huwafundisha pia wenzake juu ya kuwa na bidii ya kufanya kazi zao, kwenye siku za kawaida ili siku ya Jumapili waende kusali. Ndiyo maana mtu huyo akimuona mtu amefanya kazi siku hiyo ya Jumapili, humwambia kwamba, ‘leo umefanya kazi na Jumapili.’

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kumtukuza Mungu wafanyapo kazi zao, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi maishani mwao.

The source of the above saying comes from working on Sunday. A person who sees another person doing a great job can tell him/her that ‘today you have worked on Sunday ‘ to mean appreciation for his/her working hard on week days to compensate for Sunday.

The saying can be compared to a person who does his/her work in the glory of God. Such a person also teaches people how to work hard in week days in order to rest on Sunday; a day set for prayers for Christians. This is why when people see another person working hard in week days they can tell him/her that ‘today you have worked on Sunday.’

The saying teaches people to glorify God as they work so that they can have more success in life.

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako yingilile kubhulombi bho ng’wa munhu gulekejiwa na ng’wiye, uyo omhub’aga. Umhub’i ng’wunuyo amanile igiki adadulile ugunhipa ung’wiye uyo onhub’aga ng’wunuyo. Hunagwene agalomba bhulekejiwa bho kuhaya giki, ‘nilekejage b’ure.’

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alina bidohya bho gudula kubhumana ubhuhub’i bhokwe, na gulomba bhulekejiwa bho b’ure, kufumila kub’iye abho obhahubaga. Umunhu ng’wunuyo agabhalangaga na bhiye akikalile kagwilekeja bhuli ng’wene uyoohub’aga na gulomba bhulekejiwa bhunubho. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, ‘nilekejage b’ure.’

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gub’iza na widohya bho gulomba ubhulekejiwa bho b’ure, gwingila kubhichabho abho bhabhahub’aga, na gubhalekeja abhichabho abho bhalilomba bhulekejiwa bhunubho.

ENGLISH: FORGIVE ME UNCONDITIONALLY.

The source of the above saying comes from an apology of the offender. Such a person understands that he/she cannot repay for his/her offence committed. This is why such a person can ask for an unconditional forgiveness by saying ‘forgive me unconditionally.’

This saying can be comparable to a person who has humility to admit that he/she has done something wrong and therefore asking for forgiveness. Such a person also teaches people on how to forgive others.

The saying teaches people to have humility by asking for unconditional forgiveness from their offended counterparts. They should also forgive others.
