415. NATALI NIGOLA.

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako yilolile wibhegeleja ubho bhudakililwe witwe haho nimo nebhe gutali ugutumamwa. Uwibhegeleja bhunubho, bhuli bhogujikuminga pye ijitumamilo ja nimo uyo gulihaya gutumamwa. Hunagwene ulu adinamala ugwibhegeleja umunhu, agayombaga giki, ‘natali nigola.’

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu abho bhiyigwa gutumama nimo guti winga, nulu sherehe yose yose. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagibhegelejaga mpaga bhamala ugujipandika ijitumamilo ja ha nimo gunuyo. Hunagwene ulu bhabhujiwa na bhichabho, ulu bhatali bhuchola, bhagashoshaga giki, ‘natali nigola.’

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gwibhegeleja bho gujipandika ijitumamilo ja nimo gobho, haho bhatali ugugwandya ugugutumama unimo gunuyo.

KISWAHILI: BADO NAJIANDAA.

Chanzo cha msemo huo chatokea kwenye maandalizi ambayo hutakiwa kufanyika kabla ya kuanza kuifanya kazi fulani.

Maandalizi hayo, ni ya kuvikusanya vitendea kazi vitakiwavyo katika kazi husika. Ndiyo maana watu kama hawajayakamilisha maandalizi hayo, husema kwamba, ‘bado najiandaa.’

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao wamepanga kufanya kazi fulani kama vile: harusi, au sherehe fulani.

Watu hao hujiandaa mpaka wamalize kuvipata vitendea kazi, vitakiwavyo kuwepo katika sherehe hiyo. Ndiyo maana akiulizwa mmoja wao, hujibu kwamba, ‘bado najiandaa.’

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kujiandaa kwa kuvipata vitendea kazi vitakiwavyo kwenye kazi itarajiwayo kufanywa, kabla ya kuanza kuitekeleza.

ENGLISH: I AM STILL PREPARING.

The source of the above saying comes from preparations for something. This preparation involves assembling all equipment needed for that particular occasion and in case those equipment are yet to be assembled one can use the saying ‘I am still preparing’ to mean readness to organise the event. These events can be wedding or any other social-political or economic event.

The saying can be compared to people who plan to do certain functions. These people need to prepare themselves in advance in order to ensure that the function is run smoothly. For example, they need to assemble all the required equipment in advance. And, if they are yet to have them, they have to be open to tell others that ‘I am still preparing’ to imply waiting until the time for the fuction comes.

The saying teaches people how to prepare for certain functions. They need to assemble all the required materials in order to avoid challenges that may affect the whole ceremony.
