KITENDAWILI – TEGA.

MDUDU MDOGO AMEMHANGAISHA MTEMI – NYUKI.

Alikuwepo Mfalme aliyewachokoza nyuki waliokuwa wamejenga mzinga karibu na nyumbani mwake. Nyuki hao walianza kumuuma, naye akimbia mpaga akawaacha kwa sababu alielewa kabisa kwamba akibaki pale wanaweza kumuua. Ndiyo maana watu walisema kwamba, “mdudu mdogo amemhangaisha mfalme – Nyuki.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao huvidharau vitu vidogo kwa kuvichokoza ambavyo huwashinda katika maisha yao. Watu hao huwachokoza wenzao ambao huishi kwa upole, kwa sababu ya dharau zao hizo kwa wenzao. Wao hupewa faini ya kulipa mali nyingi baada ya kushindwa kesi, kwa sababu ya ukorofi wao huo kwa wenzao, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na yule mfalme aliyewachokoza nyuki wakamuuma mpaga akakimbia, kwa sababu nao huwachokoza watu walio wapole ambao huwashinda kesi na kuwalipisha mali nyingi, katika maisha yao. Ndiyo maana watu huwaambia kwamba, “mdudu mdogo amemhangaisha mfalme – nyuki.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na dharau ya kuvichokoza viumbe vilivyotulia, ili waweze kuishi kwa amani, maishani mwao.

Inzala bhuligayiwa bho jiliwa ja gulya ukuli munhu nhebhe. Inzala yiniyo iganendeejaga umunhu uyo adalile kunguno agamalaga inguzu ijo agajipandikaga ulu ulya jiliwa. Iyoyi igamajaga ulubhango umunhu uyo adalile kuli likanza lilihu. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “munhu ng’wenuyu yamfulamyaga – nzala.”

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga nuyo agagayiwa ijiliwa uyukoyiwa na nzala, kunguno nuweyi agakoyiyagwa na nzala ya kugayiwa jiliwa ja gulya aha kaya yakwe yiniyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “munhu ng’wenuyu yamfulamyaga – nzala.”

MTU HUYO IMEMHUZUNISHA  – NJAA.

Njaa ni ukosefu wa chakula cha kula kwa mtu fulani. Njaa hiyo humhudhunisha mtu yule ambaye hajala chakula hicho kwa muda mrefu kwa sababu ya kukosa nguvu ambazo huletwa na chakula anapokila. Yenyewe humsosesha raha mtu ambaye hajala chakula kwa kipindi kirefu. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “mtu huyo imemhuzunisha – njaa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ni mvivu kufanya kazi, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hufanya kazi zake kwa unyonge huo kwa sababu ya uvivu wake. Yeye husumbuliwa na tatizo la njaa kwenye familia yake kwa sababu ya kushindwa kupata chakula cha kutosha kula maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyehudhunishwa na njaa kwa sababu naye hukosa chakula cha kula kwenye familia yake, katika maisha yake hayo. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “mtu huyo imemhuzunisha – njaa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na tabia ya uvivu kwa kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao vizuri, ili waweze kupata chakula cha kutosha kulimaliza tatizo hizo la njaa, katika familia zao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

IT HAS MADE THAT PERSON SAD – HUNGER.

Hunger is the lack of food for someone to eat. It saddens a person who has not eaten that food for a long time because he/she lacks energy that is brought by the food after eating it. It makes such person who has not eaten for a long time feel uncomfortable. That is why people tell him that, “It has made that person sad – hunger.”

This enigma is compared to a person who is lazy to works in his life. Such person does his works with such weakness because of his laziness. He suffers from hunger problem in his family because of not being able to get enough food to eat in his family.

This person resembles the one who suffered from hunger problem, because he also lacks food in his family. That is why people tell him that, “It has made that person sad – hunger.”

This riddle teaches people about abandoning laziness by forcing themselves to do their daily jobs well, so that they can get enough food to end up the problem of hunger in their families.

KISWAHILI: SAFARI GANI HII?

Chanzo cha msemo huo kilianzia kwa watu waliokuwa katika safari yao ya kwenda sehemu fulani. Watu hao, walikuwa wakitembea kwa kutofautiana, huku wengine walinyosha wakitembea kwa haraka katika safari yao hiyo, lakini baadhi yao walitembea polepole huku wakisimama sehemu mbalimbali. Ndiyo maana watu waliwauliza kwamba, “safari gani hii?’

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao hufanya kazi zao bila kuwa na umoja wenye ushirikiano mzuri, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, hufanya kazi zao kwa kusitasita kwa sababu ya kukosa umaskini wa kushikiriana kwa umoja katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao hayo. Wao hushindwa kupata mali nyingi kwenye familia zao, kwa sababu ya kukosa huo umakini wenye ushirikiano wa kufanya kazi zao vizuri, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale waliosafiri bila kuwa na umoja wa kuendana kwa pamoja katika safari yao hiyo, kwa sababu nao huwa hawaendani vizuri katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao. Ndiyo maana watu huwauliza kwamba, “safari gani hii?”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kufanya kazi zao kwa kuwa na ushirikiano wa kuendena vizuri katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao, ili waweze kupata mali nyingi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: WHAT JOURNEY IS THIS?

The source of the above saying started from people who were on their journey to a certain place. They were walking differently, while others stretched out walking quickly on their journey, but some of them walked slowly while stopping at different places. That is why people asked them that, “What journey is this?”

This saying is related to people who do their works without having good cooperation in their families. Those people do their works reluctantly because of the lack of unity in fulfilling their duties. They fail to get good enough wealth to run their families, because of lack of that cooperative focus in doing their daily jobs well in their societies.

These people are similar to those who traveled without having unity of going together in their journey, because they also do not go well together in fulfilling their daily duties. That is why people ask them that, “What journey is this?”

This saying imparts in people an idea of doing their jobs by having good cooperation enough to go well in fulfilling their daily responsibilities, so that they can get a lot of wealth in their families.

1150. NISENGEKELAGA MACHIMU NA MASONGA.

Ugwisengekela ili gubhucha nulu guzega michimu na masonga. Amachimu jili jilanga ja guchimila. Amasonga gali jilanga ja gulasila ginhu nulu bhanishi bho gutumila bhuta.

Ulihoyi munhu uyo agazega jilanga jakwe kunguno ojaga gujitula na bhanishi bhakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu obhawilaga giki, “nisengekelaga machimu na masonga.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agasolaga jilanga ja gutumamila milimo yakwe chiza umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikalaga higiki bhuli makanza bho gutumamila jilanga jawiza umumilimo yakwe kunguno ya witegeleja bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agapandikaga sabho ningi umubhutumami bhokwe kunguno ya gutumila jilanga ja wiza umumilimo yakwe yiniyo, umuwikaji bhokwe.

KISWAHILI: NIMEBEBA MIKUKI NA MISHALE.

Mikuki ni silaha za kuchomea kitu fulani. Mishale nazo ni silaha za kuchomea kitu au adui kwa kutumia upinde. Alikuwepo mtu aliyebeba silaha zake hizo kwenda kupigana na adui zake. Ndiyo maana aliwaambia watu kwamba, “nimebeba mikuki na mishale.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hubeba silaha nzuri za kufanyia kazi zake katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwa tayari kila wakati kwa kubeba na kutumia silaha zitakiwazo katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yakwe, kwa sababu ya umakini wake huo. Yeye hupata mafanikio mengi katika kazi zake kwa sababu ya kutumia silaha nzuri katika kazi zake hizo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule mtu aliyebeba mikuki na mishale alipokuwa akienda vitani, kwa sababu naye huchukua zana nzuri za kufanyia kazi zake, katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yake. Ndiyo maana yeye huwaambia watu kwamba, “nimebeba mikuki na mishale.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kutumia silaha nzuri katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

Spears are weapons for chopping something. Arrows are also weapons for slicing something or an enemy by using a bow. There was a man who carried his weapons in fighting against his enemies. That is why he told the people that, “I have carried spears and arrows.”

This saying is compared to a person who carries good weapons enough to do his works in his life. Such person is always ready to carry and use the necessary weapons in the execution of his duties, because of his attention. He gets a lot of successes in his works because of using good weapons in fulfilling his daily responsibilities.

This person resembles to the person who carried spears and arrows when he was going to war, because he also takes good tools for doing well his works in fulfilling his duties. That is why he tells people that, “I have carried spears and arrows.”

This saying teaches people about using good weapons in the execution of their duties, so that they can get a lot of successes in their families.

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mkulima yule ambaye humwaga mbegi ambazo huota inaponyesha mvua, katika maisha yake. Mkulima huyo, humwaga mbegu zake na kusubiri mpaka mvua inanyesha ya kutosha kuziotesha, kwa sababu ya kuweka matumaini yakwe kwa Mungu. Yeye hulima mashamba makubwa ambayo humpatia mavuno mengi kwa sababu ya kumtegemea Mungu katika utekelezaji wa kazi zake hizo, maishani mwake.

Mbegu hizo, hufanana na yale meno yaliyoota baada ya kufika wakati wake, kwa sababu nazo huota baada ya mvua kunyesha. Ndiyo maana watu huhadithiana kwamba, “yamemwagwa na mwenyewe huwa yanaota – meno.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kufanya kazi kwa kumtegemea Mungu awajaliaye mafanikio, ili waweze kupata mali nyingi katika kazi zao, maishani mwao.
