812. NATUNG’WANA NA SUNGWA JILIFUMA GUJUSUMA NAGULILA NYAMA.

Isungwa jilijisumva ijo jigatumamaga milimo bho gwiyambilija kihamo. Ijoyi jigabhuchaga nigo bhuli yene guti giki jifumilile gujusumo jililwa. Umunhu uyo utung’wana ni sungwa jinijo jibhuchije milimo, agwisagilwa gupandika mbango ja gulya jiliwa ja wiza guti nyama, ukoajile. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “natung’wana na sungwa jilifuma gujusuma nagulila nyama.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agapandikaga mbango bho gutumama milimo kihamo na bhiye, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhizaga atogilwe gwiyambilija na bhiye kunguno ya jigongo jakwe ija gubhagunana abho bhali na makoye. Uweyi agapandikaga matwajo mingi umuwikaji bhokwe kunguno ya mbango ijo alinajo jinijo.

KISWAHILI: NIMEKUTANA NA SUNGUSUNGU WANAOTOKA KUHEMEA NITAKULA NYAMA.

Sungusungu ni viumbe ambavyo hufanya kazi kwa kusaidiana pamoja. Kila mmoja wao hubeba mzigo wake, unaonesha kama wanatoka kuhemea chakula. Mtu ambaye atakutana na sungusungu hao waliobeba mizigo, atatumaini kupata Baraka za kula chakula kizuri, kama vile nyama, kule anakoelekea. Ndiyo maana yeye huwaambia watu kwamba, “nimekutana na sungusungu wanaotoka kuhemea nitatakula nyama.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hupata baraka kwa kufanya kazi pamoja na wenzake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hupenda kusaidiana na wenzake hao kwa sababu ya huruma yake ya kuwasaidia wale walioko kwenye matatizo. Yeye hupata mafanikio mengi maishani mwake kwa sababu ya Baraka hizo alizonazo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na sungusungu wale walioshirikiana katika kufanya kazi, kwa sababu naye hupata Baraka za mafanikio mengi, kwa kuyatekeleza majukumu yake akishirikiana na wenzake, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana yeye huwaambia watu kwamba, “nimekutana na sungusungu wanaotoka kuhemea nitatakula nyama.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kushirikiana pamoja na wenzao wanapoyatekeleza majukumu yao, katika maisha yao, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I SAW ANTS THAT WERE COMING FROM SEARCHING FOR FOOD, I WILL EAT MEAT.

Black Ants are creatures which work together. Each one of them carries its own load, showing that they have found food from where they went. The person who meets them carrying their luggage rags will hope to enjoy blessings of receaving good food, such as meat, wherever he/she goes. That is why he/she tells people that, “I saw ants that were coming from searching for food, I will eat meat.”

This saying is applied to a person who receives blessings of working well with others in life. He/she person likes to help his/her colleagues because of having true love to those who in need. He/she finds great success in life because of receiving blessings from God.

This person is like the black ants which worked together, because he also receives blessings of many successes, by fulfilling his/her responsibilities in collaboration with others in life. That is why he/she tells people that, “I saw ants that were coming from searching for food, I will eat meat.”

This saying teaches people on how to kindly cooperate with their family members as they fulfill their daily responsibilities in lives, so that they can achieve more success, in their societies.

Abho ong’wila abhuyomba ubhung’wana, habhutaongi bho bhanhu bhenabho, agamanyika igiki ayombaga bhulomolomo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witana untale o chalo jinijo giki, “igolola bhasigani.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agabhatongelaga abhanhu bho gufuada bhung’hana, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agitaga bhukengeji bho mihayo iyo agiyigwaga, kugiki abhudebhe ubhung’hana bhoyo. Uweyi agabhotogelaga chiza abhanhu bhakwe, kunguno ya gubhutogwa na guwikalana ubhung’hana bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nu ntongeji uo chalo uyo agabhudebha ubhung’hana bho gubhalumanya abhanhu bhakwe, kunguno nu weyi agabhatongelaga chiza abhanhu bho gubhufuada ubhung’hana bhunubho, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witanaga giki, “igolola bhasigani.”

KISWAHILI: KINYOSHA WASENGENYAJI.

Alikuwepo mtu mmoja ambaye alipenda kuwasengenya wenzake kwa kusema uongo. Siku moja alisema maneno ya uongo kwa kiongozi wa kijiji chao. Kiongozi huyo, alimwita yule mtu pamoja na wale aliowasengenya kwa kusema uongo ili aufahamu ukweli wake.

Alipomwambia auseme ukweli mbele ya wale watu aliowasema vibaya, yule mtu alibainika kwamba, ni muongo. Ndiyo maana watu walimuita yule kiongozi kwamba ni “kinyosha wasengenyaji.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huwaongoza watu kwa kuufuata ukweli, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huyafanyia utafiti maneno yale anayoyasikia ili aweze kuufahamu ukweli wake. Yeye hufanikiwa kuwaongoza vizuri watu wake, kwa sababu ya kuupenda ukweli huo na kuuishi, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule kiongozi wa kijiji aliyeufahamu ukweli kwa kuwaweka pamoja watu wake, kwa sababu naye huwaongoza watu wake kwa kuufuata vizuri ukweli huo, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwita kwamba ni “kinyosha wasengenyaji.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwaongoza wenzao kwa kuufuata vizuri ukweli, katika maisha yao, ili waweze kuishi kwa amani na wenzao hao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THE GOSSIPERS’ DISCIPLINER.

There was a man who liked to gossip about his fellows. One day he uttered false words to the leader of their village. The leader called the man and those who had slandered him to tell him the truth.

After being asked to do so, in front of the people he became ashamed, then the leader realized that he was a liar. That is why the people called such leader, “the gossipers’ discipliner.”

This saying is compared to the person who guides people by following the truth in his/her area. Such person researches the words which he/she hears them for understanding the truth. This person succeeds in directing people enough to know the truth in their lives, because of having true love to them.

This person is like the village leader who knew the truth by bringing his people together, because he also leads his people by following the truth well, in their daily lives. That is why people refer to him/her as “the gossipers’ discipliner.”

This saying instills in people an idea on how to guide their people by following the truth in their lives, so that they can live in peace with their family members in daily lives.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, alina mili uyo gwiligile kunguno ya gubyalwa chene.  Uweyi agikalaga uyomba mihayo mingi iyo igabayanjaga abhiye kunguno ya gulomba wambilijiwa, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “ng’wiliguligu alina mihayo mingi.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alina nhungwa ja bhubhi, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agitaga miito ga bhubhi ayo gagabhayanjaga abhiye, kunguno ya nhungwa jakwe ija bhubhi jinijo, umukikalile kakwe. Uweyi agadumaga uguyilela chiza ikaya yakwe kunguno ya kikalile kakwe akabhubhi kenako.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga nu ng’wiliguligu uo mihayo mingi, kunguno nuweyi, alina nhungwa ja bhubhi ijo jigabhayanjaga abhanhu bhakwe, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “ng’wiliguligu alina mihayo mingi.”

Msemo huo, ulitokea kwa mtu aliyepindapinda katika muonekano wake. Mtu huyo, ana mwili uliopindika kwa sababu ya kuzaliwa kwake akiwa na ulemavu huo. Yeye huwa anaongea maneno mengi ambayo huwasumbua wenzake kwa sababu ya kuomba masaada kwao. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “aliyepindapinda ana maneno mengi.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana tabia mbaya, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hutenda matendo maovu ambayo huwahangaisha wenzake, kwa sababu ya tabia yake hiyo mbaya, katika maisha yake. Yeye hushindwa kuilea katika maadiri mema familia yake kwa sababu ya maisha yake hayo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyepindapinda mwenye maneno mengi, kwa sababu naye ana tabia mbaya ambayo huwasumbua watu wake, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “aliyepindapinda ana maneno mengi.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na tabia mbaya, kwa kujijengea tabia njema, katika maisha yao, ili waweze kuwalea vyema watu wao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: A CROOKED MAN’S MOUTH IS FULL OF WORDS.

This saying came from a man who was twisted in his appearance. He has a deformed body because of his birth defect. He often uttered many words that irritated his colleagues because of asking help from them. That is why people say to him, “a crooked man’s mouth is full of words.”

This saying is likened to a person who has bad habits in life. Such person commits a vicious act that disturbs others because of ungodly conduct in life. He/she fails to raise his family in good morals because of such lifestyle.

This person is like the bent over person who had many words, because he/she also has a bad attitude that bothers others in everyday life. That is why people say to him/her, “a crooked man’s mouth is full of words.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of stopping bad habits, by building good conducts with others in their lives, so that they can morally raise their people in their societies.

Ikale aho bhadinamana ugwilagula imbiji, abhanhu abhambiji bhatulagwa lwande, kunguno ya gogoha gubhalekaja abhangi. Kuyiniyo lulu, abhanhu bhenabho nulu agazumalika, abhangi bhogohaga ugujubhajika. Ulu munhu uja kujubhajika na umanyika chine, otulagwa lwande.  Hunagwene abhanhu bhagiwilaga giki, “yiniyo yaponya bhabhiji.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agabhuchaga ginhu jibholile, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, adadebhile ugugulang’hana chiza umili gokwe, kunguno ya gugulekanija mumakoye ga gupandika bhusatu.  Uweyi agikalaga ukoyiwa na sata ja mbika ningi, kunguno ya gubhucha ginhu ijo jigikalaga na madudu kunguno ya bhubhozu bhojo.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agaponya bhabhiji ukumuka kunguno nuweyi agakumukaga bho gubhucha ginhu ijo jibholile, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagiwilaga giki, “yiniyo yaponya bhabhiji.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuyilang’hana chiza imimili yabho, bho gwiganika na gwita miito ga wiza, umukikalile kabho, kugiki bhadule gwikala chiza na bhichabho, shigu jose.

Marko 7:14-23.

KISWAHILI: HUYO AMEZIKA WAKOMA.

Hapo zamani, wakati watu hawajagundua matibabu ya ukoma, watu wenye ugonjwa huo walitengwa mbali na jamii. Kwa hiyo basi, watu hao hata wakifariki wengine waliogopa kwenda kuwazika. Mtu akijulikana kwamba alienda kuwazika alitengwa naye ili asiwaambukize wengine. Ndiyo maana watu waliambiana kwamba, “huyo amezika wakoma.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huchukua vitu vilivyooza katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwa haelewi namna ya kuitunza vizuri afya ya mwili wake kutokana namna yake ya kuitelekeza kwa kugusa vitu vyenye wadudu. Yeye huutelekeza mwili wake huo kwa kuuweka katika mazingira ya kupata magonjwa ya aina mbalimbali kwa sababu ya wadudu anaowashika kwenye vitu hivyo vilivyooza.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyetengwa na watu baada kujulikana kwamba alienda kuwazika wakoma, wakiogopa kuambukizwa naye, kwa sababu naye huyahatarisha maisha yake kwa kuchukua vitu vilivyooza katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu huambiana juu yake kwamba, “huyo amezika wakoma.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuilinda vizuri miili yao, kwa kufikiri na kutenda matenda mema, katika maisha yao, ili waweze kuishi vizuri na wenzao, siku zote.

ENGLISH: THAT ONE HAS BURIED LEPERS.

In the past, when people had no knowledge of the cure of leprosy, people with such disease were excluded from their societies. Therefore, even when these people died, some were afraid to go to bury them. A person who was known to have gone to the funeral was isolated from their societal members so that he could not infect others. That is why people said to one another, “that one has buried lepers.”

This saying is likened to a person who picks up rotten things in his life. This person does not understand how to take good care of his or her body due to the way he or she abandons it by touching insects. He abandons his body by exposing it to various insects because of the parasites which he catches on the decaying materials.

This person is like the one who was separated from the people after it was known that he went to bury lepers, fearing that he infecte others, because he also endangers his life by taking the rotten things in his life. That is why people say to one another, “that one has buried lepers.”

This saying teaches people on how to properly protect their bodies by preventing them from being infected by various diseases in their lives, so that they can live happly with their societal members all the time.

Ahabhulilo bho jiliwa lilipande lya gubhabhilinga bhose abho bhagapandikilaga jiliwa hoyi. Olihoyi munhu uyo ahayaga gubhilinga lugiko kugiki adule guhoya chiza na bhanhu bhingi.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhasanga bhanhu bhalilya jiliwa abho bhagang’wila, “nzugu dulye japyagaga jiliwa ahenaha.” Uweyi agashosha, “nahene naliza dulye kihamo.” Uweyi agapandika wasa bho gubhalomela abhanhu bhenabho imihayo yakwe, kunguno bhali bhingi noyi.

Aho omala ugulya agabhuja, “gulihoyi nimo ki nayi ahenaha iki ng’wakwilaga chiniki?” Abhazengi bha hene bhagashosha, “Ahenaha bhadingaga abhanhu, kunguno jigazugagwa jiliwa bhuli lushigu ja gulya bhose abho bhatubhaga.” Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, “aho bhagalilaga bhadingaga hoyi.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo, agaitumamaga mpaga oyimala imilimo iyo inganpandikilaga jiliwa, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agaidililaga chiza imilimo yiniyo, kunguno yigananhanijaga chiza ikaya yakwe. Uweyi agabhalangaga na bhanhu bhakwe inzila ja gwigulambigija uguitumama imilimo yabho, kugiki nabho bhabhapandikile jiliwa abhanhu bhabho.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga na bhanhu abho bhadingaga aho bhagalilaga jiliwa, kunguno nuweyi adailekaga imilimo iyo igampandikilaga jiliwa ja guilisha ikaya yakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “aho bhagalilaga bhadingaga hoyi.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gwigulambija guitumama chiza imilimo yabho, iyo igabhapandikilaga jiliwa, umukikalile kabho, kugiki bhadule kupandika matwajo mingi, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: WANAPOLIA HAWAONDOKI HAPO.

 Sehemu ya kulia chakula ni mahali pa kujikusanyia wote wanaojipatia chakula pale. Alikuwepo mtu mmoja ambaye alitaka kuitisha mkutano ili aweze kuongea na watu wengi.

Mtu huyo, alikuta watu wakila ambao walimkaribisha wakisema, “njoo tule chakula kimeiva hapa.” Yeye alijibu, “sawa nakuja tule pamoja.” Yeye alipata nafasi ya kuwasimulia watu wale yale aliyokuwa amepanga kuwaeleza, katika mkutano huo, kwa sababu walikuwa wengi sana.

Alipomaliza kula, aliuliza, “kuna kazi gani hapa, ambapo wamekuja watu wengi hivi?” Wananchi wa hapo, walijibu, “hapa watu huwa hawaondoki kwa sababu, hupikwa chakula kila siku cha kuwalisha wale wanaojisikia njaa.” Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “wanapolia hawaondoki hapo.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huzitekeleza vizuri kazi zile zinazompatia chakula, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huzijali kazi zake hizo, kwa kuzitekeleza vizuri, kwa sababu hizo ndizo zimpatiazo mahitaji ya familia yake. Yeye huwafundisha watu wake namna ya kuongeza bidii ya kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao, ili waweze nao kujipatia mahitaji yao ya kila siku.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na watu wale wasioondoka pale wanapopatia chakula, kwa sababu naye huzitekeleza mpaka huzimaliza vizuri kazi zile zinazompatia mahitaji yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “wanapolia hawaondoki hapo.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yale yawapatiayo chakula, katika maisha yao, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: WHERE PEOPLE EAT DO NOT MOVE OFF THERE.

 The dining room is a place for gathering all those who get food there. There was one person who wanted to convene a meeting so that he could talk to a good number of people.

Such man found people eating who welcomed him by saying, “Come, let us eat some food here.” He replied, “Ok, I will come and eat with you.” He had an opportunity to tell the people what he had planned to tell them, at the meeting, because there were so many of them.

When he finished eating, he asked, “What work is there, as so many people have come?” The local people replied, “People do not leave here because, they cook food every day to feed those who are hungry.” That is why people say, “where people eat do not move off there.”

This saying is compared to a person who performs well the tasks that feed him, in his life. This man takes care of his responsibilities by doing them well, because they are the ones which provide his family with basis needs. He teaches his people on how to be diligent in fulfilling their responsibilities, so that they may be able to meet their daily needs.

This person is like the people who did not leave when they got food, because he also fulfills his responsibilities until he has successfully completed the tasks that provide his family with basic needs. That is why people say, “where people eat do not move off there.”

This saying imparts in people an idea on how to work hard enough to fulfill their daily responsibilities that give food to them, in their lives, so that they can have more success in their families.
