940. KALAGU – KIZE. NG’WISHIGU ALIYO ADIOGUSEJIWA – LIJIGANGA.

Ikalagu yiniyo ihoyelile lijipanga. Ilijiganga liniyo, lili liwe litale ilo lidasegejiyagwa na mhunhu oseose kunguno lyasumva chene. Ilyoyi lili lidito ilo lidilyagushingisha nulu hado nu nshindiki olyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagiganilaga giki, “ng’wishigu aliyo adiogusegejiwa – lijiganga.”

YU IMARA LAKINI HASOGEZWI – MWAMBA.

Kitendawi hicho huongelea Mwamba. Mwamba huyo, ni jiwe kubwa ambalo halisogezwi na mtu kwa sababu limeumbwa hivyo. Lenyewe ni zito lisilo tigiswa hata kidogo na msukumaji wake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “yu imara lakini hasogezwi – mwamba.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huishikiria tabia njema bila kutikishwa na mtu, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hataki kuyacha matendo yake mema hata maadui zake wamtigise kiasi gani, kwa sababu hupata Baraka kutoka kwa Mungu amwaminiye ambazo humsaidia kuyashikiria mema hayo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na lile jiwe lisilosogezwa na yeyote, kwa sababu naye hataki kuiacha tabia yake hiyo njema yimwezeshayo kuishi maisha mema, maishani mwake. Yeye huwafundisha watu wake namna ya kuyaishi maneno ya Mungu kwa njia a maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “yu imara lakini hasogezwi – mwamba.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuyaishi maadili mema kwa kumwamini Mungu siku zote, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuishi vizuri na wenzao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

HE IS STRONG BUT NOT MOVED – A ROCK.

This riddle speaks of the Rock. This rock is a huge stone that cannot be moved by any one because it was created in that way. It is heavy to the point of not being moved by its pushers. That is why people say that, “He is strong but not moved – a rock.”

This riddle is compared to a person who adheres to good manners without being shaken by anyone in life. Such person does not want to give up his/her good works no matter how much his/her enemies may scare him/her, because he/she receives blessings from a God who helps him/her enough to hold on to live that good life.

This person is like a stone that no one can move, because he also does not want to give up his good character that enables him to live a good life with others. He teaches his people on how to live the word of God through his life. That is why people say to him that, “He is strong but not moved – a rock.”

This riddle imparts in people an idea on how to live morally by trusting in God at all times, so that they may receive blessings of living well with one another in their lives.

Agoyi gagikolaga nu mhib’i o mbiyu ijo jidazwaga kunguno ulu yutula imbula igenhaga mingi duhu ayo gagahumaga gaja. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagiganilaga giki, “agwitaga mbiyu ningi aliyo uguzwa  nduhu – mamoto ga mbula.”

ANAMWAGA MBEGU NYINGI LAKINI KUOTA HAKUNA – MATONE YA MVUA.

Kitendawili hicho, huongelea matone ya mvua. Matone hayo ya mvua, ni mapitio ya maji wakati mvua hiyo inanyesha. Yenyewe hufananishwa na mmwagaji wa mbegu ambazo hazioti kwa sababu inaponyesha mvua hiyo, huleta maji tu ambayo hutiririka na kwenda zake. Ndiyo maana watu huhadithiana kwamba, “anamwaga mbegu lakini kuota hakuna –  matone ya mvua.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hufanya kazi zake kwa nguvu nyingi, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hujitegemea mwenyewe kwa kuanza kulima mapema wakati wa mvua za mwanzo. Yeye huyatumia vizuri maji hayo ya mvua mpaga anapata chakula cha aina nyingi, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na wingi wa matone ya mvua, kwa sababu naye hujibidisha kuyatekeleza kwa nguvu majukumu yake hayo ambayo humpatia mali nyingi, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “agwitaga mbiyu ningi aliyo uguzwa  nduhu – mamoto ga mbula.”

Kitendawili hicho hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kuyatekeleza kwa nguvu nyingi majukumu yao, ili waweze kupata mali nyingi za kutosha kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

“HE POURS OUT MANY SEEDS BUT THERE IS NO GERMINATION – RAINDROPS.”

The overhead riddle looks at raindrops. These raindrops are a review of water when it rains. It is likened to a bath of seeds that do not germinate because when it rains, it brings only water that flows and goes away. That is why people tell each other that, “he pours out many seeds but there is no germination – raindrops.”

This riddle is paralleled to the man who performs his deeds with great force, in his life. He is self-sufficient in early plowing during the early rains. He makes good use of this rainwater and gets plenty of food in his life.

This man is like the raindrops, because he also strives to carry out his responsibilities, which give him a lot of wealth, in his life. That is why people say to him that, “he pours out many seeds but there is no germination – raindrops.”

This riddle teaches people on how to work hard enough to fulfill their responsibilities, so that they can earn enough money for running well their families.

Ikalagu yiniyi, ilolile Ngi. Ingi yiniyo, ilijisumva ijo jigamanaga julala jagadanha bhuli hene kunguno ya gwicholela jiliwa jayo. Iyoyi igadanhaga hose hose na mu makanza gose ibhize limi nulu bhujiku. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagiitanaga giki, “namba o bhuli hene – ngi.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, igalenagnijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agitulaga bhumaniji bho bhuli hene, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikalaga witambukija  bhuli mumhayo uyo guliyombwa na bhiye kunguno ya wikumbwi bhokwe bhunubho ubho guhaya apandike bhuli jene ijo alijigwa. Uweyi agadumaga uyibheja chiza ikaya yakwe kunguno ya bhuyungi bhokwe bhunubho ubho guja uchola mihayo bhuli hene, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga ni ngi iyo igadanhaga bhuli hene, kunguno nuweyi agituulaga bhumani bho guja witambukija bhuli mhayo uyo guliyombwa, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witanaga giki “namba o bhuli hene – Ngi.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, yalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na wibhembu bho gwikala mukaya jabho, kugiki bhadule gujibheja chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho.

MALAYA WA KILA MAHALI – INZI.

Kitendawili hicho, huongelea inzi. Inzi huyo, ni kiumbe kile ambacho huwa kina lukia na kutua kila mahali kwa sababu ya kujitafutia chakula chake. Chenyewe hutua popote na wakati wowote iwe mchana au usiku. Ndiyo maana watu hukiita kwamba ni “Malaya wa kila mahali – inzi.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hujitia kujua kwenye kila jambo, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwa anadakia kila neno analolisikia kwa wenzake kwa sababu ya tamaa yake ya kutaka kupata kila kile anachokisikia. Yeye hushindwa kuiendeleza vizuri familia yake kwa sababu ya utembeaji wake huo wa kudandia kila neno, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na inzi anayetua kila mahali, kwa sababu naye hujitia kujua kwa kudakia kila neno analolisikia, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humuita kwamba ni “Malaya wa kila mahali – inzi.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa watulivu kwa kuishi kwenye familia zao, ili waweze kuziendeleza vizuri, maishani mwao.

A PROSTITUTE OF EVERYWHERE  – A FLY.

This riddle looks at the life of flies. A fly is a creature that jumps and lands everywhere in searching for food. It lands everywhere at any time of the day or night. That is why people call it “a prostitute of every where  – a fly.”

This riddle is compared to the man who pretends to know everything, in his life. He on the other hand, is obsessed with every word he hears from his colleagues because of his desire to get everything that he hears. He fails to make success in his family because of his wanderings in his life.

This person is like a fly that lands everywhere, for he too is keenly aware of every word he hears, in his life. That is why people call him “a prostitute of every where prostitute – a fly.”

This riddle imparts in people an idea on how to be calm by living in their families, so that they can develop them well, in their lives.

Ikalagu yiniyo, ililolile lukubha. Ulukubha lunulo jili ginhu ja makanji ijo jigikalaga ng’wigulya. Uloyi ulagatemaga ginhu ja mbika ningi, ijo lugajilolelaga bho kule na guja lwisongile hoyi. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagalyutanaga giki, “ntemi o liso – lukubha.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, igalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agayipangaga chiza imilimo yakwe haho atali uguitumama. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agitaga bhukengeji bho gugudebha chiza bhuli nimo kunguno ya gwiinha ikanza lya gujidebha isolobho ja nimo gunuyo. Uweyi agapandikaga solobho ningi umubhutumami bhokwe bhunubho kunguno ya gwuitila bhukengeji bhutale imilimo yakwe yiniyo, haho atali uguitumama, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Ikalagu yiniyo, igikolaga nu lukubha ulo lugalolelaga bho gufumila kule uko luligatema, kunguno nuweyi agayilolaga bho guyitila bhukengeji bhutale imilimo yakwe, haho atali uguyandya uguitumama. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witanaga giki, “ntemi o liso – lukubha.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, yalanga bhanhu higulya ya guyitila bhukengeji bhutale imilimo yabho, haho bhatali uguitumama, kugiki bhadule guitumama imilimo iyo ilina solobo nhale, umuwikaji bhobho.

MFALME WA JICHO – RADI.

Kitendawili hicho, huangalia Radi. Radi hiyo, ni kitu cha kutisha kiishicho juu. Yenyewe hupiga vitu vya aina mbali mbali, ambacho hukiona kutokea mbali na kwenda kukipiga kule kiliko. Ndiyo maana watu hukiita, “mfalme wa jicho – Radi.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huyapanga vizuri majukumu yake kabla ya kuyatekeleza. Mtu huyo, hufanya utafiti wa kumuwezesha kuifahamu vizuri kila kazi kwa sababu ya kujipatia muda wa kuzifahamu faida za kazi hiyo. Yeye hupata faida ya kuwa na mali nyingi, katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yake hayo, kwa sababu ya kuzifanyia utafiti mkubwa kazi zake kabla ya kuanza kuzitekeleza, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na ile Radi ionayo kutokea mbali sehemu ile itakayoipiga, kwa sababu naye huziangalia kazi zake kwa kuzifanyia utafiti, kabla ya kuanza kuzitekeleza. Ndiyo maana watu humuita kwamba ni “Mfalme wa jicho – Radi.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuzifanyia utafiti wa kina kazi zao, kabla ya kuanza kuzitekeleza, ili waweze kupata faida kubwa, maishani mwao.

THE KING OF THE EYE – THE LIGHTING.

The above riddle speaks about the lighting. This lightning a horrible thing that occurs during the rain time. It strikes a variety of objects, which one can see when it is coming from afar while to strike it. That is why people call it “the king of the eye –the Lightning.”

This riddle is equated to the person who carefully arranges his duties before performing them. This person conducts good research enough to enable him or her become better acquainted with each job because he or she has time to understand the benefits of such job. He gets benefits of having a lot of wealth fulfilling his/her responsibilities, because of doing a lot of research on each work before doing it, in his life.

This person is like the Lighting that sees in a distance the part that is going to hit, because he also looks at his work by doing research, before starting to implement them. That is why people call him “the King of the eye – the Lightning.”

This riddle teaches people on how to do a thorough study of their works, before they start implementing them, so that they can get many benefits from their lives.

Ikalagu yiniyo, igalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agatumamaga milimo mingi, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agayitumama milimo iyo ayimalile kunguno ya bhukamu bhokwe bho milimo bhunubho. Uweyi agaponaga majiliwa mingi noyi kunguno ya wikomeja bhokwe bhunubho ubho gulima jiliwa ja mbika mingi, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga ni lindege ilo lilina madutu mingi, kunguno nu weyi agatumamaga milimo mingi, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witanaga giki, “ngeni amajizwalo mingi – lindege.”

A GUEST OF MANY CLOTHES – MAIZE.

Maize is the food that is grown by farmers in various places. This maize has many pods when it is ripe. The pods are likened to clothes because they cover it as if it were covered with clothes. That is why people say to one another that, “a guest of many clothes – maize.”

This riddle is equaled to the person who does the most of his/her life. This person performs many tasks that he or she is aware of because of his or her hard working life. He/she earns a lot of money because of his/her hard work in growing a variety of foods in his/her life.

This person resembles the maize that has many pods, because he/she also fulfills many responsibilities, in his/her life. That is why people refer to him/her as “a guest of many clothes – maize.”

This riddle instills in people an idea of learning to work hard in their lives, so that they can get many possessions in their lives.
