Kitendawili hicho, huangalia Saa. Saa hiyo, husebu dakika sitini ndipo inatimia Saa moja, kwa sababu saa moja ina dakika hizo sitini. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “mama ana watoto sitini – Saa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule anayeutumia vizuri muda wake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huyatekeleza majukumu yake kwa kuangalia saa, kwa sababu anazifahamu faida za kuutumia muda wake huo kwa kufanya kazi vizuri. Yeye hupata mazao mengi katika mashamba yake kwa sababu ya kuutumia muda wake huo kwa kuyatekeleza majukumu yake vizuri, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na Saa inavyohesabu mpaga dakika sitini ndipo inatimia, kwa sababu naye huyatekeleza majukumu yake kwa kutumia saa ili aweze kuutumia muda wake kwa kufanya kazi vizuri, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana husema kwamba, “mama ana watoto sitini – Saa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuutumia muda wao kwa kuyatekeleza majukumu yao vizuri, ili waweze kupata mazao ya chakula cha kutosha kuzilisha vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

MY MOTHER HAS SIXTY CHILDREN – AN HOUR.

The overhead riddle looks at an Hour. The hour counts sixty minutes for completing it, because one hour has sixty minutes. That is why people say that, “My mother has sixty children – an Hour.”

This enigma is related to the person who spends well most of his time in his life. This person, in turn, fulfills his or her responsibilities by looking at the clock, because he or she is aware of the benefits of using that time well. He gets a lot of produce from his fields because he nicely uses his time by fulfilling his responsibilities well in his life.

This person is similar to the Hour that counts for sixty minutes for fulfilling it, because he also fulfills his responsibilities by using the clock so that he can use his time to work well in his life. That is why they say that, “My mother has sixty children – an hour.”

This riddle teaches people on how to use their time well by fulfilling their responsibilities, so that they can get enough food to feed their families in their lives.

Uweyi agapandikaga mbango ja gutumama milimo yakwe chiza iyo igang’wenhelaga matwajo mingi, umukikalile kakwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agapandikaga mihayo ya mlediyo bho nduhu ugumhona umunhu, kunguno nuweyi agahoyaga na Mulungu uyo adamhonaga, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “munhu agikalaga mjihinda – Lediyo.”

MTU HUWA SANDUKUNI – RADIO.

Kitendawili hicho, huongelea juu ya Radio. Radio hiyo ni chombo kinachoongea maneno na kuimba nyimbo bila kumuona mtu. Yenyewe huwa kama kuna mtu aliyeko ndani ya sanduku hilo. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “mtu huwa sandukuni-  Radio.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye kupata maono na kuyafanyia kazi bila kumuona anayemwambia, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huishi kwa kumwamini Mungu ambaye humpatia ujumbe kwa njia ya ndoto, kwa sababu ya imani yake kuwa kubwa kwa Muumba wake huyo. Yeye hupata Baraka za kufanya kazi vizuri zinazompatia maendeleo mengi, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule apataye maneno kupitia Radio bila kumuona mtu anayeongea, kwa sababu naye huongea na Mungu ambaye hamuoni, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana husema kwamba, “mtu huwa sandukuni- Radio.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kumsaidi Mungu wasiyemuona, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuwaletea mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

A PERSON WHO STAYS IN A BOX – A RADIO.

The above riddle talks about Radio. The radio is a device that speaks words and sings songs without seeing anyone. It is as if someone lives inside the box. That is why people say that, “a person who stays in a box – a radio.”

This riddle is compared to the person who gets the vision and acts on it without seeing the person who tells him in his life. Such person lives by believing in God who gives him messages through a dream, because of his great faith in his Creator. He receives Blessings of getting a good job that gives him a lot of progress in his life.

This person is like the one who receives words through the Radio without seeing the person who is speaking, because he also speaks to God Whom he does not see in his life. That is why they say that, “a person who stays in a box – a radio.”

This puzzle imparts in people a clue on how to believe in the invisible God, so that they can receive the blessings of bringing them great success in their lives.

Kitendawili hicho, huongelea juu ya Jongoo. Jongoo huyo, ni kiumbe ambaye ukumgusa hujivilingisha mpaka anakuwa kama pete ya kuvaa kwenye kidole. Yeye hujificha kwa kujivilingisha hivyo. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “Babu ukimgusa anakuwa pete – Jongoo.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huwa anazila hata kwa jambo tu, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huzila kwa kukataa hata kula chakula akikosewa hata kwenye jambo doo tu, kwa sababu ya kiburi cha roho yake hiyo ndogo. Yeye huwasumbua kwa huwazunishwa watu, kwa sababu ya kuzila kwake kila anakosewa hata kidogo tu, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na lile Jongoo linalojivilingisha kila linapoguswa, kwa sababu naye huzila kila anakosewa hata ikiwa ni kidogo tu, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “Babu ukimgusa anakuwa pete – Jongoo.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na moyo mkuu wa kuacha tabia ya kuzila, kwa kuvumilia na kusamehe pale wanapokoseana, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

WHEN YOU TOUCH MY GRANDFATHER BECOMES A RING – MILLIPEDE.

This riddle talks about a millipede. The millipede is a creature that when you touch it, it rolls around until it becomes like a ring that one wears on a finger. It hides itself by putting its head inside enough to make sure that it is safe from enemies. That is why people say that, “when you touch my grandfather becomes a ring – millipede.”

This riddle is compared to the person who becomes easily offended by even small thing. He gets angry to the point of refusing even to eat in his life. This man refuses to eat even though he is offended by something which has no connection with food because of the pride of his little patience. He is tormented by the grief of the people, because of his fasting after being offended by every one even in minor things.

This person resembles to the millipede that rolls around becoming a ring every time when one touches it, because he also refuses eat every time when one offends him even in little things in his life. That is why people say to him, “when you touch my grandfather becomes a ring – millipede.”

This riddle teaches people on how to be courageous enough to persevere difficult in life by forgiving whey they offend one another, so that they can better raise their families in their lives.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, adatogagwa ugudegeleka mihayo ya ng’wiye uyo bhigumile nang’hwe, kunguno ya bhupelanu bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agatumilaga mihayo ya ngheni bho gub’itila bhiye aliyo ali nhoyela ng’wanishi okwe, kunguno ya gugayiwa bhutogwa ukuli ng’wiye ng’wunuyo, umuwikaji bhokwe.

KISWAHILI: TUMEANZWA MANENO YA KUZUNGUKWA.

Maneno ya kuzungukwa ni maneno ya mafumbo yanazumgumzwa kwa wengine wakati mlengwa yuko kwenye kundi hilo. Maneno hayo, humuongelea mtu waliyekosana naye kwa sababu ya hasira iyomo ndani ya mioyo yao. Yule anayeongelewa akigundua hukasilika. Ndiyo maana husema kwamba, “tumeanzwa maneno ya kuzungukwa.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule anayependa kukosana na wenzake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwa hapendi kusikiliza maneno ya yule anayemchukia, kwa sababu ya hasira yake hiyo. Yeye hutumia maneno ya mafumbo kupitia wengine, kwa lengo la kufikisha ujumbe kwa adui yake huyo, kwa sababu ya kukosa upendo kwa mwenzake huyo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, huwa mgumu kuwasamehe watu aliokosana nao, katika maisha yake. Yeye huyafikiria vibaya maneno anayoyaongea yule anayemchukia. Ndiyo maana husema kwamba, “tumeanzwa maneno ya kuzungukwa.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuacha tabia ya kutendeana maovu, kwa kusameheana pale wanaposekeana, ili waweze kuishi kwa amani, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: WE HAVE NOW STARTED TO BE TOLD IMPLICIT WORDS.

Implicit words are figurative words which are spoken by someone to others while the target is tell one who is within that group. These words are spoken to the person with whom they have quarreled for expressing an anger which is in their hearts. The one has been been talked about finds it annoying. That’s why this one says that, “We have now started to be told implicit words.”

This saying is compared to a person who likes to quarrel with others in life. This person does not like to listen to the words of the person whom he/she hates, because of his/her anger. He/she uses figurative language through others, for the purpose of conveying a message to his/her enemy because of an absence of love for enemies.

This person has difficult in forgiving the people who have wronged him/her in life. He/she misinterprets the words which are spoken by someone whom he/she hates. That’s why he/she says that, “We have now started to be told implicit words.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of stopping treating each other badly, by forgiving each other after offending each other, so that they can live peacefully in their lives.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na mtoto wa mfalme anayeyaishi vizuri maadili mema ya wakubwa wake, kwa sababu naye huyaendeleza maadili hayo mema ya kuyatekeleza majukumu yake kwa moyo mwema, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humuita kwamba, “huyu ni mtoto wa mfalme.”

This saying speaks about the Son who is called the future king because of his good conduct.
