Imbuki ya kalagu yiniyo, ilolile Sungwa/miswa. ISungwa jilijisunva ijo jidamalaga lugendo kunguno jigajaga gujusuma jiliwa jagiza jilumile liswa bhuli jene, nulu ginhu josejose ijo jigachala hawikalo bhojo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagiganilaga giki, “kaya ya ng’wise idamalaga lugendo – Sungwa/miswa.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, igalenganijiyagwa ku bhanhu abho bhagatumama milimo yabho bho bhukamu bhutale na guchala kaya yabho, amatwajo gabho, umukikalile kabho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagajaga gujigulambija gutumama milimo yabho bhuli lushugu na gujichala kukaya jabho ijo bhagajipandika umubhutumami bhobho, kunguno ya bhutungilija bhobho bhunubho. Abhoyi bhagikalaga na sabho ningi aha kaya yabho kunguno ya gwigulambija bho gutumama milimo yabho yiniyo bhuli lushigu na gujichala aha kaya yabho, ijo bhagajipandikaga umubhutumami bhobho bhunubho, umuwikaji bhobho.

Abhanhu bhenabho bhagikolaga ni Sungwa kihamo ni miswa ijo jigigulambijaga gusuma jiliwa na guchala hawikalo bhojo ijo jigapandikaga, kunguno nabhoyi bhagigulambijaga gutumama milimo yabho bhuli lushigu na gujichala ahawikalo bhobho ijo bhagajikwabhaga, umubhutumami bhobho. Hungwene abhanhu bhagabhawilaga giki, “kaya ya ng’wise idamalaga lugendo – Sungwa/miswa.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, yalanga bhanhu higulya ya gwigulambija gutumama milimo yabho bhuli lushugu, na kujichala kukaya jabho ijo bhagajipandikaga umubhutumami bhobho, kugiki bhadule gupandika sabho ningi imuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: KITENDAWILI – TEGA.

FAMILIA YA KWETU HAIMALIZI SAFARI – SIAFU/MCHWA.

Chanzo cha kitendawili hicho huangalia chungu chungu/siafu/ mchwa. Chungu chungu hao ni viumbe wadogo wagodo weusi ambao ni jamii ya siafu na mchwa. Viumbe hao hawamalizi safari kwa sababu huenda kuhemea chakula na kuleta nyumbani kwao kila mmoja kile alichokipata. Ndiyo maana watu huhadithiana kwamba, “familia ya kwetu haimalizi safari – siafu/mchwa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale wambao hufanya kazi kwa bidii kubwa na kukipeleka nyumbani kwao kile walichokipata, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, huenda kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao kila siku na kupeleka nyumbani kwao kile walichokipata katika kazi zao, kwa sababu ya uaminifu wao huo. Wao hutajirika sana kwenye familia yao, kwa sababu ya kujibidisha kuyatekeleza majukumu yao vizuri kila siku na kukipeleka nyumbani kwao, kile walichokipata, katika kazi zao, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale siafu na mchwa ambao hujibidisha kuhemea chakula na kukipeleka nyumbani kwao kile walichokipata, kwa sababu nao hujibidisha kufanya kazi zao kila siku, na kukipekeleka nyumbani kwao kile walichokipata, kwenye utekelezaji wa majukumu yao. Ndiyo maana wao husema kwamba, “familia ya kwetu haimalizi safari – siafu/mchwa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kutekeleza vizuri majukumu yao, na kukipeleka nyumbani kwao, kile wakipatacho kwenye kazi zao hizo, ili waweze kupata mali nyingi za kutosha kutumia maishani mwao.

1155. KALAGU – KIZE. NTOLWA ALILAB’AGILA MUNGUNDA – LIZETI.

Imbuki ya kalagu yiniyo, ililola lizeti. Ilizeti yiniyo, lilinti ilo ulu giki lyuhola ligafunyaga wilab’u b’ulab’agizu guti ntolwa uyo alifumanija kunguno nang’hwe agazwalaga jizwalo jilab’agizu chiza. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, “ntolwa alilab’agila mungunda –  lizeti.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, igalenganiyagwa kuli ntolwa uyo agayilelaga chiza ikaya yakwe, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo agatumamaga milimo yakwe chiza na gubhalanga bhanhu bhakwe nzila ja gwika chiza na bhanhu kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi abhalumanyaga chiza abhanhu abho bhidumaga bho guhoya nabho chiza kunguno ya nhungwa jakwe ijawiza jinijo, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga ni lizeti iyo igalab’agilaga mungunda, kunguno nuweyi alina nhungwa niza ijo jigang’wambilijaga ugubhalela chiza abhanhu bhakwe, umukikalile kakwe kenako. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “ntolwa alilab’agila mungunda –  lizeti.”

Ikalagu yiniyo yalanga bhitoji higulya ya gubhiza na nhungwa ja gubhalela chiza abhanhu bhabho, kugiki bhadule gwikala chiza, umu kaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho bhunubho.

KISWAHILI: KITENDAWILI –  TEGA.

BIBI HARUSI ANAMEREMETA SHAMBANI – ALIZETI.

Chanzo cha kitendawili hicho kinaangalia alizeti. Alizeti hiyo, ni mti ule ambao ukichanua hutoa maua ya kumeremereta kama bibi harusi anayeolewa kwa sababu naye huvaa mavazi ya kumetameta vizuri. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “bibi harusi anameremeta shambani – alizeti.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa bibi harusi yule ambaye huilea vizuri familia yake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hujibidisha kufanya kazi zake vizuri na kuwafundisha watu wake njia za kuishi vizuri na watu, kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake huo. Yeye huwapatanisha watu waliokosana kwa kuongea nao vizuri, kwa sababu ya tabia hiyo njema aliyo nayo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo hufanana na ile alizeti iliyokuwa ikimeremeta shambani, kwa sababu naye ana tabia njema ambayo humsaidia katika kuwalea vizuri watu wake, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “bibi harusi anameremeta shambani – alizeti.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na tabia njema ya kuwalea vizuri watu wao, ili waweze kuishi vizuri katika familia zao, maishani mwao.

1153. KALAGU – KIZE. KAGINHU KADOO KAMFULAMYA NTEMI – KAYUKI.

Oliyohi ntemi uyo agajikomya nzuki ijo jalitelile bihi na aha kaya yakwe. Inzuki jinijo jigandya gunuma untemi ng’unuyo wandya gupela mpaga ujishiga kunguno agamala gete iki, jidulile gumulaga ulu witimbilija. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayomba giki, “kaginhu kadoo kamfulamya ntemi – kayuki.”

Ikalagu yiniyo igalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu abho bhagajidalahijaga iginhu ijidoo bho gujikorosha ijo jigabhalemelaga, umuwikaji bhobho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagabhikoroshaga abhibhabho abho bhagikalaga bhalyehile kunguno ya libhengwe lyabho linilo ukubhichabho bhenabho. Abhoyi bhagalipishiyagwa majikolo mingi kunguno ya wikorosha bhobho bhunubho, umuwikaji bhobho.

Abhanhu bhenabho bhagikolaga nu ntemi uyo agajikomya nzuki junuma wandya kupela mpaga ujishiga, kunguno nabhoyi bhagabhikoroshaga abhanhu abhalyehu abho bhagabhakanyaka mpaga bhalipishiwa majikolo mingi, umukikalile kabho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagabhawilaga giki, “kaginhu kadoo kamfulamya ntemi – Kayuki.”

Ikalagu yiniyo yalanga bhanhu higulya ya guleka lib’engwe lya gujikorosha sagala ijisumva ijo jilyehile, kugiki bhadule gwikala bho mholele umuwikaji bhobho.

KITENDAWILI – TEGA.

MDUDU MDOGO AMEMHANGAISHA MTEMI – NYUKI.

Alikuwepo Mfalme aliyewachokoza nyuki waliokuwa wamejenga mzinga karibu na nyumbani mwake. Nyuki hao walianza kumuuma, naye akimbia mpaga akawaacha kwa sababu alielewa kabisa kwamba akibaki pale wanaweza kumuua. Ndiyo maana watu walisema kwamba, “mdudu mdogo amemhangaisha mfalme – Nyuki.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao huvidharau vitu vidogo kwa kuvichokoza ambavyo huwashinda katika maisha yao. Watu hao huwachokoza wenzao ambao huishi kwa upole, kwa sababu ya dharau zao hizo kwa wenzao. Wao hupewa faini ya kulipa mali nyingi baada ya kushindwa kesi, kwa sababu ya ukorofi wao huo kwa wenzao, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na yule mfalme aliyewachokoza nyuki wakamuuma mpaga akakimbia, kwa sababu nao huwachokoza watu walio wapole ambao huwashinda kesi na kuwalipisha mali nyingi, katika maisha yao. Ndiyo maana watu huwaambia kwamba, “mdudu mdogo amemhangaisha mfalme – nyuki.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na dharau ya kuvichokoza viumbe vilivyotulia, ili waweze kuishi kwa amani, maishani mwao.

1152. KALAGU – KIZE. MUNHU NG’WENUYU YAMFULAMYAGA – NZALA.

Inzala bhuligayiwa bho jiliwa ja gulya ukuli munhu nhebhe. Inzala yiniyo iganendeejaga umunhu uyo adalile kunguno agamalaga inguzu ijo agajipandikaga ulu ulya jiliwa. Iyoyi igamajaga ulubhango umunhu uyo adalile kuli likanza lilihu. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “munhu ng’wenuyu yamfulamyaga – nzala.”

Ikalagu yinihyo igalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alingokolo ugutumama imilimo yakwe, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo aginogolelagwa ugutumama imilimo yakwe yiniyo kunguno ya bhugokolo bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agakoyiyagwa na nzala bhuli makanza aha kaya yakwe, kunguno ya bhugokolo bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga nuyo agagayiwa ijiliwa uyukoyiwa na nzala, kunguno nuweyi agakoyiyagwa na nzala ya kugayiwa jiliwa ja gulya aha kaya yakwe yiniyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “munhu ng’wenuyu yamfulamyaga – nzala.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, yalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuleka bhugokolo bho gwigumbija kutumama milimo yabho chiza, kugiki bhadule gupandika jiliwa ja gumalila ikoye lya nzala umukaya jabho.

KISWAHILI: KITENDAWILI – TEGA.

MTU HUYO IMEMHUZUNISHA  – NJAA.

Njaa ni ukosefu wa chakula cha kula kwa mtu fulani. Njaa hiyo humhudhunisha mtu yule ambaye hajala chakula hicho kwa muda mrefu kwa sababu ya kukosa nguvu ambazo huletwa na chakula anapokila. Yenyewe humsosesha raha mtu ambaye hajala chakula kwa kipindi kirefu. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “mtu huyo imemhuzunisha – njaa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ni mvivu kufanya kazi, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hufanya kazi zake kwa unyonge huo kwa sababu ya uvivu wake. Yeye husumbuliwa na tatizo la njaa kwenye familia yake kwa sababu ya kushindwa kupata chakula cha kutosha kula maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyehudhunishwa na njaa kwa sababu naye hukosa chakula cha kula kwenye familia yake, katika maisha yake hayo. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “mtu huyo imemhuzunisha – njaa.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na tabia ya uvivu kwa kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao vizuri, ili waweze kupata chakula cha kutosha kulimaliza tatizo hizo la njaa, katika familia zao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

IT HAS MADE THAT PERSON SAD – HUNGER.

Hunger is the lack of food for someone to eat. It saddens a person who has not eaten that food for a long time because he/she lacks energy that is brought by the food after eating it. It makes such person who has not eaten for a long time feel uncomfortable. That is why people tell him that, “It has made that person sad – hunger.”

This enigma is compared to a person who is lazy to works in his life. Such person does his works with such weakness because of his laziness. He suffers from hunger problem in his family because of not being able to get enough food to eat in his family.

This person resembles the one who suffered from hunger problem, because he also lacks food in his family. That is why people tell him that, “It has made that person sad – hunger.”

This riddle teaches people about abandoning laziness by forcing themselves to do their daily jobs well, so that they can get enough food to end up the problem of hunger in their families.

Ikalagu yiniyo, ihoyelile higulya ya katunge kadoo. Akatunge kenako kalikajisumva kadoo ako katina boya umuwili gogo aliyo lulu kagalala nyanoni. Ulu munhu uchola loya ukukoyi adupandika kunguno kadinalo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagakinatanga giki “kenako kagajijinolo – katunge kadoo.”

Ikalagu yiniyo, igalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo ali ngugu umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, aling’wibanu ugujifunya bho gubhinha bhiye ijikolo jakwe kunguno ya bhugugu bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agajituulaga mukaya ijikolo jakwe jinijo mpaga jabhipa bho ndugu ugubhagunanha abhiye kunguno ya bhugugu bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga na katunge ako kadina b’oya, kunguno nuweyi agikalaga na jikolo umukaya yakwe mpaga jabhipa bho nduhu ugubhagunanha abhiye abho bhali na makoye. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witanaga giki, “kenako kagajijinolo – katunge kadoo.”

Ikalagu yiniyo yalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na wizanholo bho gubhagunanha abhichacho abho bhali na makoye kugiki bhadule kujilanhana chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: HUYO NI BAHILI – POPO MDOGO.

Kitendawili hicho huongelea juu ya popo mdogo. Popo huyo ni kiumbe kidogo ambacho hakina manyoya katika mwili wake lakini huruka kama ndege. Ndiyo maana watu hukiambia kwamba “huyo ni bahili – popo mdogo.”

 Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ni bahili katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huvibania kuwapa wenzake vitu vyake kwa sababu ya ubahili wake huo. Yeye huviweka nyumbani mwake vitu vyake hivyo mpaka vinaharibika bila ya kuwasaidia watu walio na matatizo kwa sababu ya ubahili wake huo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na kale kapopo ambako hakana manyoya ya kuwapa wengine, kwa sababu naye hubaki na vitu vyake mpaka vinaharibika ya bila kuwasaidia wenzake walioko kwenye matatizo. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “huyo ni bahili.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na ukarimu wa kuwasaidia wenzao walioko kwenye matatizo, ili waweze kuzitunza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

THAT IS A MISER- A LITTLE BAT.

The overhead riddle is about a little bat. Such bat is a small creature that has no feathers in its body but it flies like a bird. That is why people say that, “that is a miser – a little bat.”

This riddle is equated to a person who is stingy in his life. Such person refuses to give his things to his colleagues because of his stinginess. He keeps his things in his house until they are destroyed without helping the people who have problems because of such meanness, in his life.

This person is like the little bat had no feathers of giving to others, because he also keeps his things until they are destroyed without helping his colleagues who are in anxiety. That is why people tell him that, “that is a miser – a little bat.”

This riddle imparts in people an idea of being generous enough to support their nobles who are in distress, so that they can take good care of their families in their lives.
