MTU HUYU SIJUI ATOKAKO NA AENDAKO – UPEPO.

Kitendawili hicho huongelea juu ya upepo. Upepo huo huvuma kuelekea sehemu mbalimbali, lakini huwa haujulikani unakotoka na unakoelekea. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “mtu huyu sijui atokako na aendako – Upepo.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huwa hana msimamo mzuri katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hupendelea kutembea hovyo bila kutulia kwenye familia yake kwa sababu ya uvivu wake wa kutokufanya kazi. Yeye hushindwa kuiendeleza vizuri familia yake kwa sababu ya kutokutulia nyumbani kwake huko, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na ule upepo usiojulikana kule uendako na ulikotoka, kwa sababu naye hudhurura hovyo bila kutulia nyumbani kwake, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “mtu huyu sijui atokako na aendako – Upepo.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na msimamo wenye tabia njema ya kuwawezesha kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao, ili waweze kupata maendeleo makubwa, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

I DO NOT KNOW WHERE THIS MAN COMES FROM AND WHERE HE IS GOING – THE WIND.

This riddle talks about the wind. This wind blows in different directions, but no one knows where it comes from and where it is going. That is why people say that, “I do not know where this man comes from and where he is going – the wind.”

This puzzle is compared to the person who does not have a good position in his life. Such person, prefers to walk carelessly without settling well in his family because of his laziness of not working. He fails to bring progress to his family properly because of his unsettled home there in life.

This person is like the wind that one does not know where it is going and where it came from, because he also stays carelessly without working well in his home in life. That is why people tell him that, “I do not know where this man comes from and where he is going – the wind.”

This riddle teaches people about having a good attitude that can enable them to raise their families well, in their lives, so that they can achieve great progress in their lives.

Ikalagu yiniyo igalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agabhigwaga chiza abho bhagang’wilaga mihayo, umuwikaji bhokwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo agatumagwa gujutumama milimo na bhiye oja ugaitimija chiza kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho, umukikalile kakwe. Uwei agikalaga bho mholele na bhiye kunguno ya witegeleja bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’winuyo agikolaga nuyo agwigwa ilaka liling’witana widika bho nduhu ugumona umunhu uyo aling’witana, kunguno nuwei agiigwaga chiza imihayo iyo bhaling’wila abhiye, na guyitimija chiza. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “nagang’wigwaga aliyo nadamonaga – ilaka.”

Kitendawili hicho huangalia sauti ambayo mtu huisikia bila kuiona. Alikuwepo mtu mmoja ambaye alisikia sauti ikimuita bila kumuona mtu yule anayemuita. Mtu huyo, aliitika na kutekeleza kile alichoambiwa na ile sauti. Ndiyo maana watu walihadithiana kwamba, “namsikia lakini simuoni – Sauti.”

Kitendawili hicho hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huwasikia vizuri watu wanaompatia ujumbe na kuutekeleza, maishani mwake. Mtu huyo hutumwa kwenda kutekeleza majukumu na wenzake na kuyatii vizuri kwa sababu ya unyofu wake huo, katika maisha yake. Yeye huishi kwa amani na wenzake kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake huo maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyeitii sauti iliyomuita bila kumuona mtu aliyemuita, kwa sababu naye huyasikiliza vizuri maneno anayoambiwa na wenzake na kuutekeleza ujumbe aliyopewa. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “namsikia lakini simuoni – Sauti.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na tabia ya kuyasikilia na kuyaelewa maneno ya wenzao, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

I HEAR IT BUT I DO NOT SEE IT – VOICE.

The overhead riddle looks at the sound that one hears without seeing. There was a person who heard a voice calling him without seeing the person calling him. Such man responded and did what the voice told him. That is why people told each other that, “I hear it but I do not see it – Voice.”

This paradox is compared to the person who listens well to people who give him a message and implements it in his life. Such person is sent to carry out duties by his colleagues whom he obeys them well because of his sincerity in life. He lives in peace with his colleagues because of his honesty in his life.

This person resembles the one who obeyed the voice that called him without seeing the person who called him, because he also listens well to the words which are said to him by his colleagues and carries out the message that is given to him. That is why he says, “I hear it but I do not see it – Voice.”

This riddle instills in people an idea of having habit of listening and understanding words of their nobles, so that they can courteously raise their families.

Ikalagu yiniyo igalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu bhanhu bhagikalaga bhidebhile chiza umukatumamile ka milimo yabho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagikalaga bhutumama milimo bho witogwi bhutale kunguno ya ng’wigwano gobho uyo bhalinago umuwikaji bhobho. Abhoyi bhabhakujije abhichabho kunguno ya nhungwa jabho ijawiza jinijo, umuwikaji bhobho.

Abhanhu bhenabho bhagikolaga ni njala ijo jiikojije ni ngofila na kiyambiligije ka bhutumami bho milimo, kunguno na bhoyi bhali na nhungwa jawija pye abhose ijo jigabhambilijaga kutumama milimo yabho chiza. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagabhawilaga giki, “Nina bhana bhatano ingofila biikojije – Injala.”

NINA WATOTO WATANO KOFIA ZAO ZINAFANANA – KUCHA.

Kitendawili hicho huongelea juu ya ufananaji wa kucha na utendaji wake wa kazi. Kucha za miguuni na zile za mikononi zinafanana kwa sababu ni tano ambazo hufanya kazi kwa kusaidiana vizuri. Ndiyo maana watu huhadithiana kwamba “nina watoto watano kofia zao zinafanana – kucha.”

Kitendawili hicho hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambaho wanaelewana vizuri katika utekelezaji wa kazi zao. Watu hao hufanya kazi kwa pamoja na kwa upendo mkubwa kwa sababu ya uelewano huo wao maishani mwao. Watu hao huwaheshimu wenzao vizuri kwa sababu ya tabia yao hiyo kuwa nzuri, katika maisha yao.

Watu hao, hufanana na zile kucha zenye kofia za kufanana na ambazo hushirikiana katika kufanya kazi, kwa sababu nao wana tabia njema ambayo huwasaidia kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao. Ndiyo maana huwaambia kwamba, “nina watoto watano kofia zao zinafanana – kucha.”

Kitendawili hicho hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na tabia njema ya kuwawezesha kuyatekeleza majukumu yao wakisaidiana vizuri, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi maishani mwao.

The above riddle talks about similarity of nails and their functions. Fingernails and toenails are similar because there are five of them that work well together. That is why people tell each other that “I have five children whose hats are the same – nails.”

This paradox is compared to people who understand each other well in the implementation of their works. These people work together and with great love because of such understanding of one another in their lives. They people respect their nobles well because of their good behaviors in their lives.

These people are similar to those nails of similar hats that cooperate in working, because they also have good behavior that helps them in carrying out their duties well. That is why people say that, “I have five children whose hats are the same – nails.”

This riddle teaches people about having a good attitude enough to enable them carry out their duties by helping each other well, so that they can achieve many successes in their lives.

Abhoyi bhabhizaga guti giki bhalibeha masu ga bhanhu abho bhabhitaga hoyi bhabhagisha bhuli makanza. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagabhawila giki “abhenabho bhakalimanzila bhabeha masu mingi.”

Msemo huo huangalia watu waliolima shamba lao karibu na njia. Watu hao walikuwa wakisalimiwa na watu wengi kwenye shamba lao hilo kwa sababu ya kuwa karibu sana na njia hiyo. Wao walikuwa kama hananusa harufu za watu wote waliopitia kwenye njia hiyo. Ndiyo maana watu waliwaambia kwamba. “Hao walima njia wamevuta harufu nyingi.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa wanawake wale ambao hutembea hovyo katika maisha yao. Wanawake hao, hubadilisha wanaume mara nyingi kwa sababu ya umalaya wao huo katika maisha yao. Wao hushindwa kuiendeleza miji yao kwa sababu ya kupenda kudhurula hovyo kwao huko, maishani mwao.

Wanawake hao hufanana na wale wakulima waliolima shamba lao karibu na njia wakawa wakisalimiwa na watu wengi, kwa sababu nao huishi na wanaume wengi katika maisha yao. Ndiyo maana watu huwaambia kwamba “Hao walima njia wamevuta harufu nyingi.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa watulivu katika maisha yao ya ndoa, ili waweze kuzilea vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THOSE TILLING THE ROAD HAVE INHALED A LOT OF SMELL.

This saying refers to the people who cultivated their fields near the road. Those people were greeted by many people on their farm because of being so close to such road. They were like smelling the scents of all the people who passed through such path. That is why people told them that. “Those tilling the road have inhaled a lot of smell.”

This saying is compared to women who walk carelessly in their lives. These women, change men many times because of their being prostitutes in their lives. They fail to develop their families because of harming their family members carelessly by misbehaving in their lives.

These women are similar to those farmers who cultivated their fields near the road and were greeted by many people, because they also live with many men in their lives. That is why people speak about them that “Those tilling the road have inhaled a lot of smell.”

This saying teaches people on how to be calm by behaving in their married life, so that they can raise well their families, in their lives.

Abhoyi bhagitanagwa ‘bhakalemela’ kunguno bhabhalemela abhabyaji bhabho umuwikaji bhobho.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya uenndaji mbali wa watu fulani. Walikuwepo watu ambao walienda polini ambalo lilikuwa mbali na nyumbani kwao. Walipofika huko walikupenda mpaga wakaamua kuishi huko na kukataa kurudi nyumbani kwao. Watu waliowaacha kule nyumbani waliwaita lakini wao walikataa kurudi nyumbani kwao huko. Ndiyo maana watu hao walisema kwamba, “hao wameenda mbali.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao ni wenye kiburi katika maisha yao. Watu hao hupenda kuzurura hovyo bila kufanya kazi kwa sababu ya kiburi chao hicho. Wao huitwa jila la ‘walioshindikana’ kwa sababu ya kukataa ushauri na malezi ya wazazi wao, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale walioenda polini wakatalia humo kwa kuamua kuishi humo, kwa sababu nao wana kiburi cha kukataa malezi ya wazazi wao, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu husema juu yao kwamba, “hao wameenda mbali.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na kiburi kwa kukubali kutumwa na wenzao na kulelewa na wazazi wao, ili waweze kuzitunza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THEY HAVE GONE FAR.

This saying talks about going at a distance of some people. There were people who went to the forest which was far from their home. After reaching the place they liked it to the point of deciding to stay there by refusing to return to their home, even after being called by their place people. That is why those people said that, “they have gone far.”

This saying is compared to people who are proud in their lives. These people like to roam around idly without working because of their pride. They are called the ‘imposible ones’ because of rejecting the upbringings of their parents, in their lives.

These people resemble those who went to the forest to stay there by refusing to return to their home, because they too have the pride of rejecting the edifications of their parents, in their lives. That is why people say about them that, “they have gone far.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of abandoning pride by accepting the upbringings of their parents enough to live peacifly with their nobles, so that they can take good care of their families, in their lives.
