1196. YOMBAGA BHABHA NG’HANA.

Olihoyi munhu, uyo olina mamihayo mingi umuchalo jilebhe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agakumuka nose kunguno ya mihayo yakwe yiniyo umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayunkomeleja giki, “yombaga bhabha ng’hana.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo ali nhalali, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ung’wunuyo, agayombaga mihayo ya bhulomolomo iyo agabhujiyagwa na bhiye ohalalika, kunguno ya bhuhalali bhokwe bhunubho, umukajile kakwe. Uweyi agidumama na bhanhu bhingi umuchalo jakwe, kunguno ya bhuhalali bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo olina mamihayo ayo gagabhakoyaga bhanhu, kunguno nuweyi alinhalali uyo agayombaga mihayo ya bhulomolomo, oyilema ulu obhujiwa na bhiye. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “yombaga bhabha ng’hana.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuyomba mihayo ya ng’hana bho guleka bhuhalali, umumahoya gabho, kugiki bhadule gujibheja chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho bhunubho.

KISWAHILI: SEMA BABA KWELI.

Alikuwepo mtu ambaye alikuwa na maneno mengi katika kijiji fulani. Mtu huyo, alijulikana mwishowe kwa sababu ya maneno yake hayo, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu walimsisitiza kwa kumwambia kwamba, “sema baba kweli.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ni mbishi katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huongea maneno ya uongo ambayo akiulizwa na wenzake huyakataa, kwa sababu ya ubishi wake huo, katika maisha yake. Yeye hukosana na watu wengi katika jiji chake, kwa sababu ya ubishi wake huo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule alikuwa na maneno yaliyowasumbua wenzake, kwa sababu naye ni mbishi anayeongea maneno ya uongo ambayo akiulizwa na wenzake, huyakataa. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “sema baba kweli.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuongea ukweli kwa kuacha ubishi, katika maongezi yao, ili waweze kuzilea vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: SPEAK THE TRUTH FATHER.

There was a man who spoke many words in a certain village. He was known by people in his village because of his words. They finally discovered that, he was not speaking the truth. That is why they stressed him by telling him that, “speak the truth father.”

This saying is compared to a person who is a ridiculous one in his life. Such person, speaks false words which he rejects them when people ask him about them, because of his contention, in his life. He clashes with many people in his village, because of his scoffer, in his life.

This person is similar to the one who had words which were not true, because he is also a mocker who speaks false words which, when asked by his colleagues, he denies them. That is why people tell him that, “speak the truth father.”

This saying imparts in people an idea about speaking the truth by leaving liars, in their speech, so that they can raise their families well, in their lives.

1195. IJINIJO JILI JIGULU JA BHUKI.

Akahayile kenako, kalolile jigulu ijo ili si iyo ibhukilile higulya. Umujigulu jinijo jalijitelile nzuki umugaji bho gub’itila mupundu kunguno bholihoyi wasa wiza moyi. Inzuki jinijo, ligashiga likanza jubheja bhuki wingi gete moyi ubho bhanhu bhingi bhagabhubhona kunguno jali bihi na nzila. Hunagwene abhanhu bhenabho bhagayomba giki, “ijinijo jili jigulu ja bhuki.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alinsabhi omajikolo mingi na onholo ya wiza, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, abhambilijaga abhanhu bhingi abho bhagajaga bhagibhula makoye gabho hoyi, kunguno ya wiza nholo bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agikalaga na bhanhu bhingi noyi aha kaya yakwe, kunguno ya wizanholo bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga ni nzuki ijo jali na bhuki bhingi umujigulu jajo, kunguno nuweyi ali msabhi omajikolo mingi, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhang’wilaga giki, “ijinijo jili jigulu ja bhuki.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gwigulambija gutumama milimo ya gubhenhela majikolo mingi, kugiki bhadule gubhambilija bhanhu bhingi, umuwikaji bhobho.

Mathayo 11:28-30.

KISWAHILI: HICHO NI KICHUGUU CHA ASALI.

Msemo huo, huangalia kichuguu ambacho ni aridhi iliyoinuka juu. Kichuguu hicho kilikuwa na nyuki waliotengeneza nzinga wao ndani yake, kwa sababu kilikuwa na nafasi kubwa ndani yake. Nyuki hao waliishi mule mpaka wakatengeneza asali nyingi ambayo watu wengi waliiona, kwa sababu kilikuwa karibu na njia. Ndiyo maana watu hao walisema kwamba, “hicho ni kuchuguu cha asali.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ni tajiri wa mali nyingi, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwasaidia watu wengi wanaofika kwake kujieleza matatizo yao, kwa sababu ya ukarimu wake huo. Yeye huishi na watu wengi sana kwenye familia yake, kwa sababu ya ukaribu wake huo, maishani mwake.

 Mtu huyo, hufanana na wale nyuki waliotengeneza mzinga wao kwenye kichuguu ambao ulikuwa na asali nyingi, kwa sababu naye ni tajiri wa mali na vitu vyingi, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “hicho ni kuchuguu cha asali.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kufanya kazi za kuwawezesha kupata mali nyingi, ili waweze kuwasaidia watu wengi, maishani mwao.

Mathayo 11:28-30.

ENGLISH: THAT IS A HONEY TUNNEL.

This saying looks at a tunnel that is a raised land. This tunnel had bees that made their hives in it, because it had a lot of space in it. These bees lived there until they made a lot of honey that many people saw, because of it being near the road. That is why those people said that, “that is a honey tunnel.”

This saying is paralleled to a person who is rich of many assets, in his life. Such person helps many people who come to him expressing their problems, because of his generosity. He lives with a good number of people in his family, because of his loveliness, in his life.

This person resembles the bees what made their hive in the tunnel that had a lot of honey, because he is also rich in wealth of many things in his life. That is why people speak about him that, “that is a honey tunnel.”

This saying teaches people about working hard enough to do things that enable them to get a lot of wealth, so that they can help a good number of people, in their lives.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agitaga bhukengeji bho gugudebha chiza unimo uyo gudulile gung’wenhela solobho nhale ubhutumami bhokwe na guguchagula kunguno atogilwe kupandika matwajo mingi, umubhutumami bhokwe. Uweyi agapandikaga sabho ningi noyi aha kaya yakwe kunguno ya kuchagula milimo ya wiza, umubhutumami bhokwe bhunubho.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agashoka gub’inila ng’wang’hilili, kunguno nuweyi agachakulaga milimo iyo idulile kung’wenhela solobho nhale umubhutumami bhobho. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “nashoka gub’inila ng’wa Ng’hilili.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuchagula milimo ya gudula gubhenhela solobho nhale umubhutumami bhobho, kugiki bhadule gupandika sabho ningi, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: NIMERUDI KUCHEZEA KWA NG’HILILI.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyekuwa mchezaji wa kundi fulani la ngoma. Mtu huyo, alibadilisha mawazo yake akaamua kuchelezea ngoma hizo kwenye kundi la Ng’hilili, kwa sababu ya kutaka kupata faida kubwa kwenye kundi hilo. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “nimerudi kuchezea kwa Ng’hilili.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huchagua kazi yenye faida kubwa katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hufanya utafiti wa kumwezesha kuzifahamu na kuzichagua kazi hizo, kwa sababu ya kutaka kupata mafanikio makubwa katika kazi zake. Yeye hupata mafanikio makubwa katika familia yake, kwa sababu ya kuchagua kazi za kuweza kumletea faida kubwa, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyerudi kwa Ng’hilili, kwa sababu naye huchakua kazi ziwezazo kumletea faida kubwa katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “nimerudi kuchezea kwa Ng’hilili.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuchagua kazi za kuweza kuwaletea mafanikio makubwa katika utumishi wao, ili waweze kupata faida kubwa, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE RETURNED TO PLAY TO NG’HILILI.

There was a man who was a dancer in a certain dance group. He changed his mind and decided to explain the dances to the Ng’hilili group, because he wanted to make a big profit from the group. That is why he said that, “I have returned to play to Ng’hilili.”

This saying is equated to a person who chooses a job that is very profitable in his life. Such person does research that is good enough to enable him understand and choose the best jobs, because he wants to achieve great success in his works. He achieves great success in his family, because of choosing jobs that can bring him great profits, in his life.

This person is similar to the one who returned to Ng’hilili, because he also takes jobs that can bring him great profits in his life. That is why he says that, “I have returned to play to Ng’hilili.”

This saying imparts in people an idea about choosing jobs that can bring them great successes in their services, so that they can get great benefits, in their lives.

Umpilya jili jitumamilo ijo jigang’wanguhyaga umunhu ugushiga wangau uko ajile umulugendo lokwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agibakilaga umpilya gokwe opela na gushiga wangu uko ajile kunguno ya bhupeji bho mpilya gunuyo. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “kanishisha kule – mpilya.”

Ikalagu yiniyo igalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agatumilaga ginhu ja gupelela uko ajile ija kunshisha wangu, umulugendo lokwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agatumila ginhu guti lori, basi, ndege na jingi ijo jikolile na jinijo, kunguno ya kuhaya kushiga wangu uko ajile umulugendo lokwe nululo. Uweyi agadulaga ugushiga wangu uko ajile umulugendo lokwe na kutumama milimo yingi, kunguno ya gutumila jikolo ya kupelela ija kunshisha wangu jinijo, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agatumila mpilya mpaga ushiga kule, kunguno nuweyi agatumilaga ginhu ja gupelela na kushiga wangu uko ajile, umulugendo lokwe. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “kanishisha kule – mpilya.”

Ikalagu yiniyo yalanga bhanhu higulya ya gutumila ginhu ja gupelela umukikalile kabho, kugiki bhadule gushiga wangu, uko bhagile, umuludondo lobho.

KISWAHILI: KITENDAWILI – TEGA.

KAMENIFIKISHA MBALI – BAIKELI.

Baisikeli ni chombo cha usafiri ambacho humwezesha mtu kufika haraka kule anakoenda. Mtu huyo, hupanda baiskeli yake na kukimbia mpaka anafika haraka kule anakoenda, kwa sababu ya ukimbiaji wa baiskeli hiyo. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “kamenifikisha mbali – baiskeli.”

Kitendawili hicho hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hutumia vyombo vya usafari kwa ajili ya kumfikisha haraka kule anakoenda, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hutumia vyombo vya usafiri kama vile gari, basi, ndege na vingine wingi, kwa sababu anataka kufika haraka kule anakoenda, katika safari yake. Yeye hufanikiwa kufika haraka kule anakoenda mpaka anafanya kazi zingine, kwa sababu ya kutumia usafiri huo wa haraka, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyetumia baiskeli mpaka akafika mbali katika safari yake, kwa sababu naye hutumia vyombo vya usafiri na kufika haraka kule anakoenda, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “kamenifikisha mbali – baiskeli.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kutumia vyombo vya usafiri katika safari zao, ili waweze kufika haraka kule wanakoenda, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

IT HAS BROUGHT ME FAR – THE BICYCLE.

A bicycle is a means of transportation that enables a person to reach his destination quickly. Such person gets on his bicycle and runs until he reaches his destination quickly, because of the speed of such bicycle. That is why he says that, “it has brought me far – the bicycle.”

This paradox is equaled to the person who uses good means of transportation to get him quickly to where he is going, in his life. Such person uses good means of transport such as car, bus, plane and many others, because he wants to get to his journey’s end quickly, in his trip. He manages to get to his last stop quickly until he does other jobs, because of using that fast transport, in his life.

This person resembles to the one who used a bicycle until he got far in his journey, because he also uses good means of transport enough to enable him quickly reach where he is going, in his life. That is why he says that, “it has brought me far – the bicycle.”

This riddle teaches people about using good means of transport in their travels, so that they can quickly reach their destinations, in their lives.

Bhalihoyi bhanhu abho bhagalima migunda ya bhusiga na mandege ahikanza lya jidiku. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagayilanhana chiza imigunda yabho yiniyo, mpaga bhubisha bhusiga wingi, na mandege mingi, kunguno ya bhukamu bho gutumama milimo yabho yiniyo. Abhoyi bhagayega noyi aho bhapona amajiliwa genayo kunguno ya gutumila nguzu ningi uguilimila imigunda yabho yiniyo. Hunagwene aho bhajilya ijiliwa jinijo bhagayomba giki, “iji jili jamungunda.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu abho bhagatumamaga milimo mingi na kupandika majikolo mingi, umukikalile kabho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagigulambijaga gutumama milimo mingi mpaga bhayimala chiza, kunguno ya bhukamu bho gutumama milimo yabho bhunubho. Abhoyi bhagayegaga noyi ulu bhandya ugujitumila ijikolo ijo bhajipandika umubhutumami bhobho, kunguno ya bhuponi bhobho bhunubho, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: HIVI NI VYA SHAMBANI.

Walikuwepo watu waliolima mashamba ya mtama na mahindi wakati wa masika. Watu hao, waliyatunza vizuri mashamba yao hayo mpaka wakapata mtama mwingi na mahindi mengi, kwa sababu ya bidii yao hiyo ya kufanya kazi. Wao walifurahi sana walipoyapata mazao hayo ya chakula kwa sababu ya kutumia nguvu nyingi katika kuyatunza mashamba yao hayo. Ndiyo maana walipoanza kuyala mazao hayo, walisema kwamba, “hivi ni vya shambani.”

 Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao hufanya kazi nyingi na kupata vitu vingi, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, hujibidisha kufanya kazi nyingi mpaga wanazimaliza vizuri, kwa sababu ya bidii yao hiyo ya kufanya kazi. Wao hufurahi sana wanapoanza kuyatumia mazao yao hayo waliyoyapata, kwa sababu ya kupata mavuno mengi, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale waliofurahi baada ya kupata mtama na mahindi, kwa sababu nao hufurahi wanapopata mazao yao hayo kutoka kwenye kazi zao hizo. Ndiyo maana wao husema kwamba, “hivi ni vya shambani.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao mpaka wanazimaliza vizuri, ili waweze kupata mazao mengi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THESE ARE FROM THE FARM.

There were people who cultivated millet and corn fields during the spring. Those people took good care of their fields until they got a lot of both millet and corns, because of their hard working activities. They were very happy when they got those food crops because of spending a lot of energy in taking care of their fields. That is why when they started eating those crops, they said that, “these are from the farm.”

This saying is compared to people who do a lot of works and get a lot of things, in their lives. Those people do a lot of works enough to finish them well, because of their hard working situation. They are very happy when they start using their crops that they got, because of getting a lot of harvests in their lives.

Those people are like those who were happy after getting millet and corns, because they are also happy when they get their crops from their works. That is why they say that, “these are from the farm.”

This saying teaches people about working hard in doing their works until they finish them well, so that they can get a lot of crops, in their lives.
