1206. KALAGU – KIZE. MUMO UGANENGELA UDUNASA UNG’WANA NG’WUNUYO – BHUNYENYA.

Imbuki ya kalagu yiniyo ililola kabhunyenya ako kali kadoo noyi nulu ugiyina kugalasa udukadula kunguno ya bhudoni bhogo bhunubho. Ubhunyenya bhunubho  bhuli bhudodo aliyo bhukikalaga bhunoyi noyi ugubhulya. Ukwene huguhaya giki, iginhu jigikalaga na solobho yajo mumho jigadohela. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagiganilaga giki, “mumo uganengela udunasa ung’wana ng’wunuyo – kabhunyenya.”

Ikalagu yuniyo, igalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agabhadahalaga abhanhu kunguno ya bhudoni bho mimili yabho umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo adaibhonaga isolobho ya bhanhu abho bhali hasilili yakwe, kunguno ya libhengwe yakwe linilo umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agadumaga uguyibheja chiza ikaya yakwe kunguno ya gubhadalaha sagala abhanhu bhakwe bhenabho, aha kaya yakwe yiniyo.

Umunhu ng’wunyo, agikolaga nuyo abhudalaha ubhunyenya bho gulola bhudoni bhobho, kunguno nu weyi agabhadalahaga abhanhu abho bhali hasilili yakwe, umuwikaji bhokwe mpaga oduma uguibhona isolobho yabho, aha kaya yakwe yiniyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “mumo uganengela udunasa ung’wana ng’wunuyo – kabhunyenya.”

Chanzo cha kitendawili hicho, chaangalia ufuta ambao ni mdogo sana. Ufuta hata mtu ajitahidi kuulenga kwa mshale ili aupige hataweza, kwa sababu ya udogo wake huo. Wenyewe ni mdogo lakini ni mtamu kwa kuula. Ndiyo kusema kwamba, kitu hata kikiwa kidogo namna gani, kinafaida yake katika maisha ya mwanadamu. Ndiyo maana watu huhadithiana kwamba, “hata ujitahidi kumlenga kwa mshale namna gani mtoto huyo hutampiga – ufuta.”

Kitendawili hicho, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huwadharau watu walioko chini yake kwa sababu ya udogo wa miili yao. Mtu huyo, huwa haioni faida ya watu walioko chini yake, kwa sababu ya dharau aliyo nayo kwao, maishani mwake. Yeye hushindwa kuilea vyema familia yake kwa sababu ya kuwadharau hovyo watu waliopo kwenye familiya yake hiyo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliudahau ututa kwa kuangalia udogo wa umbo la zao hilo, hata akashindwa kuona faida yake, kwa sababu naye huwadharau watu walioko chini yake mpaga anashindwa kuona faida yao kwenye familia yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “hata ujitahidi kumlenga kwa mshale namna gani  mtoto huyo hutampiga – ufuta.”

Kitendawili hicho, hufundisha watu juu ya kuacha kuwadharau hovyo watu walioko chini yao, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi katika utekelezaji wa majukuku yao, katika familia zao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE A RIDDLE – LET IT COME.

EVEN IF YOU TRY TO TARGET WITH AN ARROW YOU WILL NOT HIT THAT CHILD – SAMSAM.

The basis of this paradox looks at a very small crop which is known as samsam. Even if someone tries to aim at it with an arrow, he will not be able to hit it, because of its small size. They themselves are small but they are sweet to eat. That is to say that, no matter how small something is, it is useful to human life. That is why people tell each other that, “even if you try to target with an arrow, you will not hit that child – Samsam.”

This puzzle is equated to a person who despises people who are under him because of smallness of their bodies. Such person never sees benefit of people who are under him, because of a contempt that he has to them, in his life. He fails to raise his family well because of his carelessness to his people.

This person relates to the one who underestimated the small size of that small crop, until he failed to see its benefit, because he also despises the people who are under him to the point of failing to see their benefit in his family. That is why people tell him that, “even if you try to target with an arrow, you will not hit that child – Samsam.”

This riddle teaches people about stopping belittling the people who are under them, so that they can achieve a lot of success in raising their children, in their families.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya mtoto alieambiwa arudi kwenye makazi yake. Alikuwepo mtoto mmoja aliyeenda Shinyanga mjini akifikiri kwamba atapata maisha mazuri huko. Alipofika kule alianza kupata matatizo ya kukosa chakula na mavazi. Wenzake alioowaacha kijijini mwake, walimtafuta mpaka wakamuona na kufahamu alivyokuwa akihangaika. Ndiyo maana walimwambia kwamba, “rudi mtoto.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa wazazi wale ambao huwarudisha kwenye malezi mema watoto wao waliokiuka maadili yao kwa kuwajali vizuri maishani mwao. Wazazi hao, huwajali watoto hao hao kwa kuishi nao vizuri, mpaga wanaweza kuyaishi maadili yao vizuri. Wao huwakuza vizuri watoto wao hao kwa kuzilea vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.”

Wazazi hao, hulinganishwa kwa watoto wale waliomjali mwenzao kwa kumtafuta na kumwambia arudi kwake, kwa sababu nao huwarudisha watoto wao waliokiuka malezi mema, kwa kuwalea vizuri. Ndiyo maana huwaombia kwamba, “rudi mtoto.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwalea wenzao katika maadili mema kwa kuishi nao vizuri, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: COME BACK CHILD.

This saying speaks of a child who was told to return to his home. There was one child who went to Shinyanga town thinking that he would have a good life there. When he got there, he started having problems such as lack of food and clothing. His friends, whom he left in his village, looked for him until they saw him and realized that he was facing problems. That is why they told him that, “come back child.”

This saying is compared to parents who return their children who have violated their values to a good upbringing by taking good care of them in their lives. These parents, take care of those children by living well with them within their values. They raise their children well by raising their families well, in their lives.

These parents are compared to children who cared for their partner by looking for him and telling him to return back to his home, because they also bring back their children who violated good upbringing, by raising them well. That is why the tell them, “come back child.”

This saying, teaches people about raising their people in good values by living well with them, so that they can raise their families well, in their lives.

Akahayile kenako, kagalengajiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agalamulaga mihayo mitale guti numo yigigelelaga, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agitaka bhukengeji bho guidebha chiza imihayo iyo igigelaga bho nduhu guyigalucha, kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho, umubhutumami bhokwe. Uweyi agalamulaga mihayo chiza aha kaya yake kunguno ya witegeleja bhokwe ubho guchola bhunhana bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huamua jambo kubwa kwa haki kama lilivyotukia bila kulibadilisha, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hufanya utafiti wa kumuwezesha kulielewa vizuri lilivyo tukia jambo hilo bila kuligeuza, kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake huo katika utumishi wake. Yeye huamua kwa haki mambo yanatokea katika familia yake, kwa sababu ya umakini wake huo wa kutafuta ukweli, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na wale waliomchuna tembo kama alivyokuwa ameanguka, kwa sababu naye huyaamua mambo kwa haki kama yalivyotukia bila kuyageuza katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana yeye huwaambia watu kwamba, “ilivyoanguka na kuchunwa ni hivyo.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuwawezesha kuamua mambo kwa haki kama yalivyotukia bila kuyageuza, ili waweze kuzilinza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

The source of this saying looks at big animals like Elephants. The elephant, if it falls, it will be skinned in that way because of its heavy weight. That is why people say that, “how it fell and skinning is so.”

This saying is equaled to a person who decides a big thing rightly as it happened without changing it, in his life. Such person does a good research to enable him understand well what happened without changing it, because of his loyalty in his service. He rightly decides what is happening in his family, because of his focus on finding the truth, in his life.

This person is similar to those who skinned an elephant as he had fallen, because he decides things justly as they happened without changing them in his life. That is why he tells people that, “how it fell and skinning is so.”

This saying teaches people about being focused in solving problems enough to enable them decide things rightly as they happened without changing them, so that they can protect their families well, in their lives.

Olihoyi munhu uyo usiminzaga hikanza lya imbula ilitula. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, usiminzaga bho gukoyakoya kunguno igatula mbula nhale mpaga ilisi lyulobha gete. Uweyi aganyululuka mpaga ugwa kunguno ya winyululu bho mabhulolo ga mbula yiniyo. Hunagwene agayomba giki, “winyululu bhonenheleja.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agasiminzaga bho nduhu ugwitegeleja chiza ahikanza lya mbula, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agagangilaga nulu yatulaga mbula nhale umubhusiminzi bhokwe bhunubho kunguno ya guduma gwitegeleja chiza. Uweyi agabhipaga bhulolo umili gokwe kunguno ya gunyululuka na gugwa bhuli makanza, umulugendo lokwe lunulo.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agagwishiwa na winyululu aho osiminzaga na mbula igutulaga, kunguno nuweyi aganyululukaga mpaga ogwa ulu yatulaga mbula umubhusiminzi bhokwe. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “winyululu bhonenheleja.”

KISWAHILI: UTELEZI UMENILETELEZA.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyekuwa akitembea wakati mvua inanyesha. Mtu huyo, alitembea kwa kuhangaika kwa sababu ya ukubwa wa mvua hiyo iliyonyesha mpaga aridhi ikalowa. Yeye aliteleza mpaka akaanguka kwa sababu ya utelezi wa mvua hiyo. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “utelezi umenileteleza.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hutembea wakati wa mvua bila kuwa na uangalifu mkubwa, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hutembea kwa haraka wakati mvua imenyesha kubwa kwa sababu ya kutokuwa na umakini huo katika safari zake. Yeye huchafuka mwili wake kwa matope kwa sababu ya kuanguka mara kwa mara, katika safari zake hizo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyeteleza na kuanguka alipokuwa akitembea wakati wa mvua, kwa sababu naye huteleza na kuanguka anapotembea wakati wa mvua, katika safari zake hizo. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “utelezi umenileteleza.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kutembea kwa umakini mkubwa wakati wa mvua, ili wasije wakaanguka katika safari zao hizo.

ENGLISH: SLIPPING CONDITION HAS SLIPPED ME.

There was a man who was walking when it was raining. He man walked with difficulty because of an intensity of such rain that fell on the land enough to make it wet. He slipped until he fell because of the slippery rain condition. That is why he said that, “slipping condition has slipped me.”

This saying is related to a person who walks during the rain without being very careful in his life. Such person walks quickly when it has rained heavily because of a lack of attention in his journeys. He smears his body with mud because of frequent falling, in his travels.

This person is similar to the one who slipped and fell while walking in the rain, because he also slips and falls while walking in the rain, in his travels. That is why he says that, “slipping condition has slipped me.”

This saying teaches people about walking  very carefully during the rain time, so that they do not fall in their journeys.

Ulusumo lunulo, luhoyelile noni iyo igitanagwa Nh’ondo. Inoni yiniyo idaliyagwa. Aliyo lulu ung’wana gilya, agilya inoyi yiniyo kunguno ya bhutuubhi bhokwe bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayomba giki, “ng’wana gilya, agilya inh’ondo.”

Ulusumo lunulo, lugalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo, agagakililaga amalagilo ga ng’wa Mulungu, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikalaga wita mihayo iyo atogilwe weyi ng’winikili bho nduhu ugugadimila amalagilo ga Nsumbi okwe, kunguno ya nhinda jakwe jinijo. Uweyi agadumaga uguilela chiza ikaya yakwe kunguno ya gugabhinza amalagilo ga ng’wa Mulungu, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho.

Ulusumo lunulo, lolanga bhanhu higulya ya kugadimila amalagilo ga ng’wa Mulungu, kugiki bhadule gupandika mbango ja gwikala chiza umukaya jabho na gushiga ng’wigulu, umuwikaji bhobho.

Methali hiyo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huyavunja maagizo ya Mungu, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo huishi kwa kufanya anachotaka mwenyewe bila kuyashika maagizo ya Mungu, kwa sababu ya kiburi chake hicho. Yeye hushindwa kuilea vizuri familia yake kwa sababu ya kuyavunja maagizo hayo ya Mungu, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na Ng’wana Gilya aliyemla Ndege asiyeliwa, kwa sababu naye huishi kwa kuyavunja maagizo ya Mungu, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “Ng’wa Gilya aliila ndege “nh’ondo.”

Methali hiyo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuyashika maagizo ya Mungu maishani mwao, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuishi vizuri na kufika Mbinguni baada ya kuaga dunia.

ENGLISH: NG’WA GILYA ATE THE BIRD ‘NH’ONDO.’

The above proverb speaks about a bird that is known as Nh’ondo. This bird is never eaten. But Ng’wa Gilya ate it because of his hunger. That is why people said that, “Ng’wa Gilya ate the bird ‘nh’ondo.’”

This proverb is equated to a person who breaks commandments of God, in his life. Such person lives by doing what he wants without keeping the instructions of God, because of his pride. He fails to properly raise his family members because of breaking those orders of God, in his life.

This person resembles Ng’wana Gilya who ate a bird that was never eaten, because he also lives by breaking God’s instructions in his life. That is why people tell him that, “Ng’wa Gilya ate the bird ‘nh’ondo.’”

This proverb instills in people an idea about keeping God’s instructions in their lives, so that they can get Blessings of living well enough to reach the Heavenly kingdom after passing away.
