Imbuki ya kahayile kenako ihoyelile Nyanda uyo oling’wishigwa. Unyanda ng’wunuyo, wigushaga chiza na bhiye na hangi osomaga bho gubhigwa abhalangi bhakwe mpaga nose ukumuka umuchalo jakwe kunguno ya likujo lyakwe linilo. Hungwene abhanhu bhagang’witana giki, “Nyanda aling’wishigwa.”
Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alinilange lya wiza aha kaya yakwe, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhalelaga abhanhu bhakwe bho gubhiza ni kujo kubhanhu bhose bho nduhu ugubhakomanya, kunguno ya bhutengeke bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agabhabokelaga bhanhu bhingi aha kaya yakwe, abho agabhalangaga mihayo ikujo lya gwikala bho mholele na bhichabho, kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho, umukikalile kakwe.
Umunbu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nu nyanda uyo wikagalaga chiza na abhiye kunguno nuweyi agikalaga chiza na bhanhu bho gubhalanga kikalile kagubhakuja pye abhanhu, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witanaga giki, “Nyanda aling’wishigwa.”
Akayayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza ni kujo lya gwikala chiza na bhichabho bho gwiyambilija gutumama milimo yabho chiza, kugiki bhadule gujilela chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho.
KISWAHILI: KIJANA MWENYE HESHIMA.
Chanzo cha msemo huo chaongelea juu ya kijana mwenye heshima. Kijana huyo, alikuwa akicheza vizuri na wenzake na msikuvu pia kwa walimu wake ambao walimtambua kwa usomaji wake mzuri na kwa sababu ya heshima aliyokuwa nayo. Hali hiyo iliwawezesha wanakijiji alimoishi kumtambua vizuri. Ndiyo maana watu walimuita kwamba ni “kijana mwenye heshima.”
Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huilea familia yake katika maadili mema, maishani mwake. Mtu huyo, huwalea watu wake kwa kuwaeleza maneno ya hekima yanayowasadia kuwaheshimu watu wao vizuri, kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake huo, katika maisha yake. Yeye huwapokea watu wengi kwenye familia yake wanaokuja kusikiliza maneno ya hekima ya kuishi vizuri na watu, kwa sababu ya kuuishi ukweli, maishani mwake.
Mtu huyo, hufanana na kijana aliyeishi vizuri na wenzake, kwa sababu naye huishi na watu vizuri kwa kuwafundisha maneno ya hekima ya kuishi vyema na wenzao, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu walimuita yeye kuwa ni “kijana mwenye heshima.”
Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na hekima ya kuishi vizuri na watu kwa kusaidiana katika kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao.
ENGLISH: UPRIGHT YOUNG MAN.
The basis of this saying speaks of a respectable young man. This young man was playing well with his nobles and was also a good friend to his teachers who recognized him for his good reading and because of the respect he had. This situation enabled the villagers where he lived to recognize him well. That is why people called him an “upright young man.”
This saying is matched to the person who raises his family in good values, in his life. This person, nurtures his people by telling them words of wisdom that help them respect their people well, because of his honesty, in his life. He receives many people in his family who come to listen to words of wisdom for living well with people, because of living the truth, in his life.
This person is similar to a young man who lived well with his colleagues, because he also lives well with people by teaching them words of wisdom which can assist them to live well with their colleagues, in their lives. That is why people called him an “upright young man.”
This saying teaches people about having wisdom of living well with people by helping each other in performing their duties well, so that they can raise their families well.
