Akahayile kenako kanhoyelile munhu uyo olidakangagwa umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, oliang’wisanije Se uyo oli na nguzu ja gubhaheb’a pye abhose abho bhang’wibhonelaga umuchalo jakwe. Hunagwene ung’wana okwe ng’wunuyo, agayomba giki, “nalinduhu ugukangwa.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo ang’wisanije Mulungu umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo alina guzunya gutale ukuli Mulungu kunguno amanile igiki Uwei adulile yose na adikomile guhewa na Jisunva josejose. Uweyi agikalaga mhola aha kaya yakwe kihamo na bhanhu bhakwe, kunguno ya gung’wisanya Mulungu uyo agabhalang’hanaga makanza gose abhanhu, umuwikaji bhobho.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nu ng’wana uyo oliang’wisanije myaji okwe uyo oli na nguzu ningi, kunguno nuweyi ang’wisanije Mulungu uyo alinduja o jose, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “nalinduhu ugukangwa.”

KISWAHILI: SIKO KUTISHWA.

Msemo huo huongelea juu ya mtu yule ambaye hatishwi katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, ana baba yake anayemtegemea ambaye ana nguvu nyingi za kumwezesha kuwashinda wote wanaomuonea katika kijiji chake. Ndiyo maana mtoto wake huyo, husema kwamba, “siko kutishwa.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye humtegemea Mungu katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, alishamwamini Mungu kwa imani kubwa kwa sababu Yeye aweza yote na hashindwi na viumbe wake. Yeye huishi salama pamoja na wanafamilia wake kwa sababu ya kumtegemea Mungu aliyeumba vitu vyote, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule mtoto aliyemtegemea baba yake aliyekuwa na nguvu nyingi, kwa sababu naye pia humtegemea Mungu awezaye yote. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “siko kutishwa.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kumwamini Mungu na kumtegemea Yeye maishani mwao, ili waweze kuishi kwa amani, katika familia zao.

ENGLISH: I AM NOT THREATENED.

This saying speaks about the person who is not threatened in his life. Such person has a father to whom he depends on because of Him having a lot of power enough to enable him defeat all those who hate him in his village. That is why his son, says that, “I am not threatened.”

This saying is related to the person who depends on God in his life. Such person believed in God with great faith because He can do everything and He does not fail His creatures. He lives safely with his family members because of relying on God, who created all things.

This person is like the child who depended on his father who had a lot of power, because he also depends on God who can do everything. That is why he says that, “I am not threatened.”

This saying, imparts in people an idea of believing in God and relying on Him in their lives, so that they can live in peace with one another in their families.

Abhanhu bhenabho bhagishiyagwa na bhanhu bhingi abho bhabhitaga ha nzila yiniyo kunguno ya bhubihi bho ngunda gunuyo ni njia yiniyo. Abhoyi bhabhizaga guti giki bhalibeha masu ga bhanhu abho bhabhitaga hoyi bhabhagisha bhuli makanza. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagabhawila giki “abhenabho bhakalimanzila bhabeha masu mingi.”

Abhakima bhenabho bhagamanaga bhugalukija bhagosha kunguno ya bhulamba bhobho bhunubho umukikalile kabho. Abhoyi bhagadumaga ugujibheja ikaya jabho kunguno ya gumana bhiyunga sagala chiniko umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: HAO WALIMA NJIA WAMEVUTA HARUFU NYINGI.

Msemo huo huangalia watu waliolima shamba lao karibu na njia. Watu hao walikuwa wakisalimiwa na watu wengi kwenye shamba lao hilo kwa sababu ya kuwa karibu sana na njia hiyo. Wao walikuwa kama hananusa harufu za watu wote waliopitia kwenye njia hiyo. Ndiyo maana watu waliwaambia kwamba. “Hao walima njia wamevuta harufu nyingi.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa wanawake wale ambao hutembea hovyo katika maisha yao. Wanawake hao, hubadilisha wanaume mara nyingi kwa sababu ya umalaya wao huo katika maisha yao. Wao hushindwa kuiendeleza miji yao kwa sababu ya kupenda kudhurula hovyo kwao huko, maishani mwao.

Wanawake hao hufanana na wale wakulima waliolima shamba lao karibu na njia wakawa wakisalimiwa na watu wengi, kwa sababu nao huishi na wanaume wengi katika maisha yao. Ndiyo maana watu huwaambia kwamba “Hao walima njia wamevuta harufu nyingi.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa watulivu katika maisha yao ya ndoa, ili waweze kuzilea vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THOSE TILLING THE ROAD HAVE INHALED A LOT OF SMELL.

This saying refers to the people who cultivated their fields near the road. Those people were greeted by many people on their farm because of being so close to such road. They were like smelling the scents of all the people who passed through such path. That is why people told them that. “Those tilling the road have inhaled a lot of smell.”

This saying is compared to women who walk carelessly in their lives. These women, change men many times because of their being prostitutes in their lives. They fail to develop their families because of harming their family members carelessly by misbehaving in their lives.

These women are similar to those farmers who cultivated their fields near the road and were greeted by many people, because they also live with many men in their lives. That is why people speak about them that “Those tilling the road have inhaled a lot of smell.”

This saying teaches people on how to be calm by behaving in their married life, so that they can raise well their families, in their lives.

Aho bhashiga koyi bhutogwa gwikala mpaga bhulema ugushoga ikaya yabho. Abhanhu bhakukaya yabho bhagagema ugubhitana abhoyi bhulema mpaga nose bhubhaleka duhu. Hunagwene abhanhu abhagayomba giki, “abhenabho b’aja mahungu.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu abho bhalibhalambu, umukikalile kabho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhatogilwe gujiyunga sagala bho nduhu nulu gutumama milimo kunguno ya bhulambu bhobho bhunubho, umukikalile kabho. Abhoyi bhagitanagwa ‘bhakalemela’ kunguno bhabhalemela abhabyaji bhabho umuwikaji bhobho.

Abhanhu bhenabho, bhagikolaga nabho bhagaja ng’wipolu bhugalemela mumo kunguno nabhoyi bhalibhambu abho bhabhalemela abhabyaji bhabho umuwikaji bhobho bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, “abhenabho b’aja mahungu.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuleka nhungwa ja bhulambu bho guzunya gutung’wa na bhichabho, kugiki bhadule kujilanhana chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: HAO WAMEENDA MBALI.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya uenndaji mbali wa watu fulani. Walikuwepo watu ambao walienda polini ambalo lilikuwa mbali na nyumbani kwao. Walipofika huko walikupenda mpaga wakaamua kuishi huko na kukataa kurudi nyumbani kwao. Watu waliowaacha kule nyumbani waliwaita lakini wao walikataa kurudi nyumbani kwao huko. Ndiyo maana watu hao walisema kwamba, “hao wameenda mbali.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao ni wenye kiburi katika maisha yao. Watu hao hupenda kuzurura hovyo bila kufanya kazi kwa sababu ya kiburi chao hicho. Wao huitwa jila la ‘walioshindikana’ kwa sababu ya kukataa ushauri na malezi ya wazazi wao, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale walioenda polini wakatalia humo kwa kuamua kuishi humo, kwa sababu nao wana kiburi cha kukataa malezi ya wazazi wao, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu husema juu yao kwamba, “hao wameenda mbali.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuachana na kiburi kwa kukubali kutumwa na wenzao na kulelewa na wazazi wao, ili waweze kuzitunza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THEY HAVE GONE FAR.

This saying talks about going at a distance of some people. There were people who went to the forest which was far from their home. After reaching the place they liked it to the point of deciding to stay there by refusing to return to their home, even after being called by their place people. That is why those people said that, “they have gone far.”

This saying is compared to people who are proud in their lives. These people like to roam around idly without working because of their pride. They are called the ‘imposible ones’ because of rejecting the upbringings of their parents, in their lives.

These people resemble those who went to the forest to stay there by refusing to return to their home, because they too have the pride of rejecting the edifications of their parents, in their lives. That is why people say about them that, “they have gone far.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of abandoning pride by accepting the upbringings of their parents enough to live peacifly with their nobles, so that they can take good care of their families, in their lives.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhatongelaga abhanhu bho guhoya nabho chiza, kunguno ya bhutogwa bhokwe ukubhanhu bhakwe na bulyehu bhokwe bhunubho, umukitakile kakwe.  Uweyi agikalaga ulanga mihayo ya gutogwa kutumama milimo bho wigulambija bhutale kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho, umukikalile kakwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga ni liyiku ilitale ilo lyatumama milimo chiza mpaga lyuganamhala, kunguno nuweyi agabhatongelaga chiza abhanhu bhakwe bho gwigulambija gutumama milimo yiniyo chiza, umukikalile kakwe. Hunangwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “ilijisunva lyinili ligatamala.”

KISWAHILI: KIUMBE HIKI KIMEKUA.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya kiumbe kilichokua sana kwa maana ya kuishi miaka mingi. Kiumbe kicho, ni kama maskisai wa ng’ombe ambaye amefanya kazi vizuri mpaga akafikia uzeeni. Yeye amejulikana sana katika maeneo hayo kwa sababu ya upole na utendaji mzuri wa kazi kwa watu hao. Ndiyo maana watu husema juu yake kwamba, “kiumbe hiki kimekua.”

Mtu huyo, huwaongoza watu kwa kwa kuongea nao vizuri kwa sababu ya upendo na upole wake alionao kwa watu wake hao, katika maisha yake. Yeye huwafundisha watu maneno yenye busala ya kuwawezesha kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule maskini wa ng’ombe aliyefanya kazi vizuri mpaga uzeeni mwake, kwa sababu naye huwaongoza watu katika kujibidisha kufanya kazi vizuri, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu husema juu yake kwamba, “kiumbe hiki kimekua.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha viongozi wa watu juu ya kuishi vizuri na wenzao kwa kujibidisha kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

The above saying talks about a creature that has grown very much in the sense of living many years. This creature is like an ox that has worked well until it reaches old age. He is well known in those areas because of his gentleness and good work performance for those people. That is why people say about him that, “this creature has grown.”

This saying is compared to the person who leads well his family. Such person leads people by talking to them well because of the love and kindness that he has for them. He teaches people wise words enough to empower them in doing their jobs well because of his honesty, in his life.

This person is similar to the ex that worked well to the point reaching his old age, because he also leads people in trying to work well, in his life. That is why people say about him that, “this creature has grown.”

This saying teaches people’s leaders to live well with them by forcing themselves to carry out their duties well, so that they can raise their families well, in their lives.

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli namuge oha kaya uyo agabhalelaga chiza abhanhu bhakwe, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhalelaga abhanhu bhakwe bho gubhalanga gutumama milimo yabho chiza kunguno alina bhutogwa bhutale ukubhoyi. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga na mayagamba ayo gakula mpaga guyikala kunuma ya lidale ilya ng’ombe ulu jilisiminza, kunguno nuweyi agabhatongelaga bho gubhalela chiza abhanhu bhake, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “gab’i manhubya agikalaga numa.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mzee wa mji ambaye huwalea vizuri watu wake katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwalea watu wake hao kwa kuwafundisha kufanya kazi zao vizuri, kwa sababu ya upendo wake mkubwa alio nao kwao. Yeye huishi vizuri na watu wake kwa sababu ya malezi yake ya kuwakuza vizuri wake wake hao, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo hufanana na yale mafahali yaliyokua mpaka yakaanza kubaki nyuma wakati wa kutembea, kwa sababu naye huwaongoza kwa kuwalea vizuri watu wake, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “yamekuwa mafahali ya kukaa nyuma.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwaheshimu wazazi wao kwa kuwatunza vizuri, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuishi vizuri na wenzao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THEY HAVE BECOME BULLS OF STAYING BEHIND.

The overhead saying talks about the bulls of cattle. These bulls are male cattle that were well aged. They normally walk behind the herd of cows when they walk because of that old age. That is why people say that, “they have become bulls of staying behind.”

This saying is compared to the old man of the family who takes good care of his people in his life. Such man, brings up his people by teaching them to do their jobs well, because of his great love to them. He lives well with his people because of his good upbringing enough to raise his people well, in his life.

This man resembles those grown up bulls until they started to lag behind while walking, because he also leads his people by raising them well, in his life. That is why people tell him that, “they have become bulls of staying behind.”

This saying teaches people about respecting their parents by taking good care of them, so that they can get blessings of living well with their people, in their lives.
