Imbuki ya kahayile kenako ilolile ndimu nhale guti mhuli. Imhuli yiniyo ulu yugwa, umoyugwila mugwibhaga guti numo yagwilaga duhu kunguno ya bhudito bhoyo bhunuyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, “umuyagwilaga nakab’agile chene.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalengajiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agalamulaga mihayo mitale guti numo yigigelelaga, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agitaka bhukengeji bho guidebha chiza imihayo iyo igigelaga bho nduhu guyigalucha, kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho, umubhutumami bhokwe. Uweyi agalamulaga mihayo chiza aha kaya yake kunguno ya witegeleja bhokwe ubho guchola bhunhana bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

KISWAHILI: ILIVYOANGUKA NA KUCHUNWA NI HIVYO.

Chanzo cha msemo huo, huangalia myama mkubwa kama Tembo. Tembo huyo, akianguka atachunwa hivyo kwa sababu ya uzito wake huo. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “ilivyoanguka na kuchunwa ni hivyo.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huamua jambo kubwa kwa haki kama lilivyotukia bila kulibadilisha, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hufanya utafiti wa kumuwezesha kulielewa vizuri lilivyo tukia jambo hilo bila kuligeuza, kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake huo katika utumishi wake. Yeye huamua kwa haki mambo yanatokea katika familia yake, kwa sababu ya umakini wake huo wa kutafuta ukweli, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na wale waliomchuna tembo kama alivyokuwa ameanguka, kwa sababu naye huyaamua mambo kwa haki kama yalivyotukia bila kuyageuza katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana yeye huwaambia watu kwamba, “ilivyoanguka na kuchunwa ni hivyo.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuwawezesha kuamua mambo kwa haki kama yalivyotukia bila kuyageuza, ili waweze kuzilinza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: HOW IT FELL AND SKINNING IS SO.

The source of this saying looks at big animals like Elephants. The elephant, if it falls, it will be skinned in that way because of its heavy weight. That is why people say that, “how it fell and skinning is so.”

This saying is equaled to a person who decides a big thing rightly as it happened without changing it, in his life. Such person does a good research to enable him understand well what happened without changing it, because of his loyalty in his service. He rightly decides what is happening in his family, because of his focus on finding the truth, in his life.

This person is similar to those who skinned an elephant as he had fallen, because he decides things justly as they happened without changing them in his life. That is why he tells people that, “how it fell and skinning is so.”

This saying teaches people about being focused in solving problems enough to enable them decide things rightly as they happened without changing them, so that they can protect their families well, in their lives.

1188. WINYULULU BHONENHELEJA.

Olihoyi munhu uyo usiminzaga hikanza lya imbula ilitula. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, usiminzaga bho gukoyakoya kunguno igatula mbula nhale mpaga ilisi lyulobha gete. Uweyi aganyululuka mpaga ugwa kunguno ya winyululu bho mabhulolo ga mbula yiniyo. Hunagwene agayomba giki, “winyululu bhonenheleja.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agasiminzaga bho nduhu ugwitegeleja chiza ahikanza lya mbula, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agagangilaga nulu yatulaga mbula nhale umubhusiminzi bhokwe bhunubho kunguno ya guduma gwitegeleja chiza. Uweyi agabhipaga bhulolo umili gokwe kunguno ya gunyululuka na gugwa bhuli makanza, umulugendo lokwe lunulo.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agagwishiwa na winyululu aho osiminzaga na mbula igutulaga, kunguno nuweyi aganyululukaga mpaga ogwa ulu yatulaga mbula umubhusiminzi bhokwe. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “winyululu bhonenheleja.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gusiminza na witegeleja bhutale ulu yatulaga mbula, kugiki bhakije ugugwa, umulugendo lobho.

KISWAHILI: UTELEZI UMENILETELEZA.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyekuwa akitembea wakati mvua inanyesha. Mtu huyo, alitembea kwa kuhangaika kwa sababu ya ukubwa wa mvua hiyo iliyonyesha mpaga aridhi ikalowa. Yeye aliteleza mpaka akaanguka kwa sababu ya utelezi wa mvua hiyo. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “utelezi umenileteleza.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hutembea wakati wa mvua bila kuwa na uangalifu mkubwa, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hutembea kwa haraka wakati mvua imenyesha kubwa kwa sababu ya kutokuwa na umakini huo katika safari zake. Yeye huchafuka mwili wake kwa matope kwa sababu ya kuanguka mara kwa mara, katika safari zake hizo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyeteleza na kuanguka alipokuwa akitembea wakati wa mvua, kwa sababu naye huteleza na kuanguka anapotembea wakati wa mvua, katika safari zake hizo. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “utelezi umenileteleza.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kutembea kwa umakini mkubwa wakati wa mvua, ili wasije wakaanguka katika safari zao hizo.

ENGLISH: SLIPPING CONDITION HAS SLIPPED ME.

There was a man who was walking when it was raining. He man walked with difficulty because of an intensity of such rain that fell on the land enough to make it wet. He slipped until he fell because of the slippery rain condition. That is why he said that, “slipping condition has slipped me.”

This saying is related to a person who walks during the rain without being very careful in his life. Such person walks quickly when it has rained heavily because of a lack of attention in his journeys. He smears his body with mud because of frequent falling, in his travels.

This person is similar to the one who slipped and fell while walking in the rain, because he also slips and falls while walking in the rain, in his travels. That is why he says that, “slipping condition has slipped me.”

This saying teaches people about walking  very carefully during the rain time, so that they do not fall in their journeys.

Hunagwene agayomba giki, “naliila nindo.”

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agalindilaga mpaga abhazugi bhazuga jiliwa jingi ulu osangaga bhanhu bhamalaga gulya kunguno ya wiyumilija bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agikalaga bho bhuyegi bhutale aha kaya yakwe kunguno ya guhoya na bhanhu bhakwe bho wiyumilija bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agasanga bhanhu bhalimalija gulya bhuchele ugelela guwigwa mu ningo duhu, kunguno nuweyi agiyumilijaga gulindila mpaga abhazugi bhazuga jiliwa jingi, ulu osangaga abhiye bhajimalaga gujilya ijiliwa jinijo, umukikalile kakwe kenako. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “naliila nindo.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na wiyumilija bho gulindila mpaga abhazugi bhazuge jiliwa jingi, ulu bhasangaga jiliwa jashilaga, kugiki bhadule gwidebha chiza, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: NIMEKULA KWA PUA.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyekuwa safarini kwenda kuwasalimu ndugu zake. Mtu huyo, alitembea mwendo mrefu mpaka mwishowe akajisikia njaa kwa sababu ya kupitisha muda mrefu bila kula chakula. Yeye alipita kwenye familia moja akawakuta wanamalizia kula wali ambao ulimunukia tu, bila kuula, kwa sababu ulikuwa umeisha. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “nimekula kwa pua.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huvumilia kwa kusubiria mpaka chakula kingine kipikwe akiwakuta wenzake wamemaliza kula, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, husubiria mpaka wapishi wamalize kupika chakula kingine kila anapowakuta wenzake wamemaliza kula kwa sababu ya uvumilivu wake huo. Yeye huishi  kwa furaha kubwa na watu waliyoko kwenye familia yake hiyo, kwa sababu ya kuongea nao kwa uvumilifu wake huo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyewakuta wenzake wamemaliza kula wali ulioishia kunukia tu kwake, kwa sababu naye huvumilia kwa kusubiria mpaka wapishi waivishe chakula kingine, anapowakuta wenzake wamemaliza kula, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “nimekula kwa pua.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na uvumilivu wa kuwawezesha kusubili mpaka wapishi waivishe chakula kingine wanapowakuta wenzao wamemaliza kula, ili waweze kuelewana vizuri, maishani mwao.

Luka 16:19-21.

ENGLISH: I HAVE EATEN BY USING NOSE.

There was a man who was on his way to greet his brothers. He walked a long way until he finally felt hungry because of spending a long time without eating. He passed by a family and found them finishing eating the rice that he only smelled, without eating it, because it had run out. That is why he said that, “I have eaten by using nose.”

This saying is compared to a person who endures by waiting until another meal is cooked when he finds his colleagues have finished eating, in his life. Such person waits until cooks finish cooking another meal whenever he finds his colleagues have finished eating because of his patience. He lives happily with the people in his family, because of talking to them with his patience, in his life.

This person is similar to the one who found his colleagues finished eating rice that ended up smelling only to it, because he also endures by waiting until the cooks put on another food, when he finds his colleagues have finished eating, in his life. That is why he says that, “I have eaten by using nose.”

This saying teaches people about having strong patience enough to enable them wait until cooks put on another food when they find their colleagues have finished eating, so that they can understand each other well, in their lives.

1183. LUHUNI LELO OHAJA.

Olihoyi munhu uyo witanagwa Luhuni umuchalo jilebhe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, olina kajile ka wib’i bho jikolo ja bhanhu kunguno ya bhugokolo bho gutumama milimo yakwe chiza. Uweyi bhibhaga jikolo ja bhanhu nhangala ningi bho nduhu uguding’wa. Aliyo lulu, lushigu lumo agading’wa aho aliib’a ijikolo ja bhanhu jinijo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhangang’wila giki, “Luhuni lelo ohaja.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alina jilangu ja gubhitila mihayo ya bhubhi abhiye, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhitilaga miito ga bhubhi abhiye bhenabho bho gwibhisa kugiki adizubhonwa, kunguno ya jilangu jakwe jinijo. Uweyi agapandikaga makoye gaguding’wa na gulipishiwa majikolo mingi, kunguno ya gubhitila mihayo ya bhubhi abhiye bhenabho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nu Luhuni uyo wibhaga jikolo ja bhanhu mpaga nose uding’wa na bhinikili jikolo jinijo, kunguno nuweyi agabhitilaga mihayo ya bhubhi abhiye mpaga nose oding’wa na gulipishiwa majikolo mingi, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “Luhuni lelo ohaja.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuleka nhungwa ja gwita mihayo ya bhubhi umukikalile kabho, kugiki bhadule gutumama milimo ya gupandikila sabho jabho chiza, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: LUHUNI LEO AMEKWAMA.

Alikuwepo mtu mmoja aliyeitwa Luhuni katika kijiji fulani. Mtu huyo alikuwa na tabia ya wizi wa vitu vya watu kwa sababu ya uvivu wake wa kufanya kazi zake vizuri. Yeye alikuwa akiiba vitu vya watu hao mara nyingi bila kushikwa. Lakini siku moja alikamatwa alipokuwa akiiba mali hizo za watu. Ndiyo maana watu walimwambia kwamba, “Luhuni leo amekwama.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana tamaa ya kuwatendea matendo maovu wenzake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, alizoea kuwatendea wenzake matendo hayo maovu kwa kujificha ili asionekane, kwa sababu ya tabia yake hiyo mbaya. Yeye alipata matatizo ya kukamatwa na kupewa adhabu ya kulipa mali nyingi, kwa sababu ya kuwatendea wenzake matendo hayo maovu, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule Luhuni aliyekuwa akiwaiibia watu mali zao mpaka mwishowe alikamatwa, kwa sababu naye huwatendea wenzake matendo maovu mpaka mwishowe anakamatwa na kupewa adhabu ya kulipa mali nyingi, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu walimwambia kwamba, “Luhuni leo amekwama.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuacha tabia ya kuwatendea wenzao matendo maovu katika maisha yao, ili waweze kufanya kazi za kuwapatia mali zao vizuri, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: LUHUNI HAS STUCK TODAY.

There was a man named Luhuni in a certain village. He had a habit of stealing people’s things because of his laziness in doing his work properly. He used to steal things from those people many times without getting caught. But one day he was caught while he was stealing people’s property. That is why people told him that, “Luhuni has stuck today.”

This saying is equaled to a person who has the desire to do evil deeds to his colleagues, in his life. Such person used to do these evil deeds to his equals by hiding so that he would not be seen, because of his evil behavior. He had troubles of being arrested and given punishment of paying a lot of money, because of doing those evil deeds to his colleagues, in his life.

This person resembles to Luhuni who used to steal people’s property until he was finally caught, because he also does evil things to his fellows until he is finally caught and given punishment of paying a lot of money, in his life. That is why people told him that, “Luhuni has stuck today.”

This saying teaches people to stop the habit of doing wicked things to their companions in their lives, so that they can work enough to get their wealth well, in their lives.

1182. NASHOLWA BHINGI.

Olihoyi munhu uyo obhambilija gutumama milimo abhiye umuchalo cha Ng’watuju. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, otumamaga nabho gwingila diyu mpaga mhindi kunguno ya lisungu lyakwe ukubhoyi. Aliyo lulu, abhanhu bhenabho, bhamanaga bhundahahija duhu ulu obhambilija chiniko, kunguno ya bhujidalumba bhobho. Hunagwene umunhu ng’wunuyo agayomba giki, “nasholwa bhingi.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalengajiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agitaga mihayo yawiza ukunhu bhalinduhilija abhiye, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agitaga miito gawiza gagubhambilija abhanhu abho bhali na makoye kunguno ya bhutungilija na bhutogwa bhokwe ukubhiye bhenabho, abho bhagamaga bhunduhilija duhu. Uweyi agiyumilijaga gwita mihayo ya wiza ukubhiye bho nduhu ugubhadegeleka abho bhagandarahijaga, kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo obhambilijaga gutumama milimo yabho abho bhandahahilija, kunguno nuweyi agitaga miito gawiza ukubhiye, bho nduhu ugubhadegeleka abho bhaganshukilijaga, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene agabhawilaga giki, “nasholwa bhingi.”

Akahahile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gwiyumilija gwita miito ga wiza bho nduhu kubhadegeleka abho bhagabhaduhilijaga, kugiki bhadule kupandika matwajo mingi, umuwikaji bhobho.

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hutenda matendo mema huku wenzake wakimdharau, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hutenda matendo ya kuwasaidia watu walioko kwenye matatizo kwa sababu ya uaminifu na upendo wake kwao watu hao ambao humdharua tu. Yeye huvumilia kuendelea kutenda mema kwa wenzake hao bila kuwajali wale wanaomdharau, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyekuwa akiwasaidia watu waliokuwa wakimdharau, kwa sababu naye hutenda matendo mema kwa wenzake bila kuwajali wale wanaomdharau, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana huwaambia kwamba, “nimefyonzwa wengi.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuvumilia kutenda mema bila kuwasikiliza wale wanaowadharau, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

This saying is equated to a person who does good deeds to his people while they despise him, in his life. Such person helps people who are in trouble because of his loyalty and love for those people who just despise him. He endures to continue doing good deeds to his colleagues regardless of those who despise him, in his life.

This person is similar to the one who used to help people who despised him, because he also does good deeds to his colleagues without caring about those who despise him, in his life. That is why he tells them that, “I have been absorbed by many.”

This saying teaches people about persevering to do good deeds without listening to those who despise them, so that they can get a lot of success in their lives.
