Aho kale bhalihoyi bhanhu abho bhali bhanwanile chiza. Abhanhu bhenabho bhilomelaga mihayo yabho mpaka bhizunilija chiza kunguno bhali bhitogilwe noyi umukikalile kabho. Abhoyi bhagakumuka nose umuchalo jabho kunguno ya mahoya gabho agawiza genayo, umuwikaji bhobho bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayomba giki, “abhanhu abho bhali na nhambu.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kukaya ya bhanhu abho bhitogilwe chiza umukikalile kabho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagilomelaga kihamo mpaka bhizunilija chiza umubhutumami bho milimo yabho iyo bhagayitumamaga bho gwizunilija chiza, kunguno ya witogwi bhobho bhunubho, umuwikaji bhobho. Abhoyi bhagikalaga na bhuyegi bhutale umukaya jabho kunguno ya witogwi bhobho bhunubho ubho guhoya kihamo na gwizunilija chiza, umukikalile kabho kenako.

Abhanhu bhenabho bhagikolaga na bhanwani abho bhahoyaga na gwizunilija bho bhitogwi umutumami bho milimo yabho, kunguno nabhoyi bhagayohaja kihamo mpaga bhizunilija bho witogwi, umuwikaji bhobho bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagabhayombaga giki, “abhanhu abho bhali na nhambu.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga kaya higulya ya gubhiza na witogwi bho guhoya kihamo na gwizunilija chiza umubhutumami bho milimo yabho yiniyo, kugiki bhadule gwikala na bhuyegi bhutale umukaya jabho jinijo.

KISWAHILI: WATU HAO WANA MAZUNGUMZO.

Hapo zamani walikuwepo watu waliokuwa marafiki. Watu hao walizungumzo pamoja na kukubalina vizuri kwa sababu walikuwa wanapendana sana katika maisha yao. Mwishowe walijulikana katika kijiji chao kwa sababu ya mazungumzo yao hao mazuri, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu walisema kwamba, “watu hao wana mazungumzo.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwenye familia ya watu wanaopendana vizuri, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, huongea pamoja na kuelewa vizuri katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao ambayo huyatekeleja kwa kukubaliana vizuri, kwa sababu ya upendo wao huo wa kuongea pamoja na kuelewana vizuri, maishani mwao. Wao huishi kwa furaha kubwa katika familia zao, kwa sababu ya upendo wao huo wa kuongea pamoja na kuelewana vizuri, katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao hayo.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale marafiki walioongea na kuelewa kwa upendo katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao, kwa sababu nao huongea pamoja na kukubalina kwa upendo, katika maisha yao. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “watu hao wana mazungumzo.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na upendo wa kuwawezesha kuongea pamoja na kuelewana vizuri, katika utekelezaji wa majukumu yao, ili waweze kuishi kwa furaha kubwa katika familia zao.

ENGLISH: THESE PEOPLE HAVE A CONVERSATION.

Once upon a time, there were people who were friends. They talked together and nicely understood each other because they truly loved each other in their lives. Eventually, they became known in their village because of their good conversations, in their lives. That is why people said about them that, “those people have a conversation.”

This saying is related to a family of people who truly love each other in their lives. Those people, talk together and understand each other in the implementing their responsibilities which they carry out in good agreement, because of their true love of talking together and understanding each other, in their lives. They live happily in their families, because of their true love of talking together and understanding each other in the implementing their tasks.

Those people, resemble those friends who talked and understood with true love in fulfilling their responsibilities, because they also lovely talk together and agree with each other, in their lives. That is why people say about them that, “those people have a conversation.”

This adage convey in people an idea of truly loving each other enough to nicely communicate and understand each other  in the execution of their duties, so that they can live happily in their families.

1402. UMUNHU UYU NGOTOLWA.

Untogolwa ali mkima uyo oshoshiwagwa ku ng’wawe gwingila kubhukwiye kugiki agalangwa chiza. Unkima ng’wunuyo agabhalemela abhakubhukwiye kunguno ya bhulambu bhokwe. Uweyi agashoshiwa kung’wawe kugiki agalangwe bhupya. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wila giki, “umunhu uyu ngotolwa.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo adadililaga chiza ililange lya bhatale bhakwe umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, adadegelekaga chiza ililange lya bhatale bhakwe ulu bhalinanga kunguno ya bhugumanija bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agadumaga uguibheja chiza ikaya yakwe kunguno ya guduma gulidegeleka chiza ililange lya bhatale bhakwe bhenabho, umukikalile kakwe kenako.

KISWAHILI: MTU HUYU AMERUDISHWA KULELEWA UPYA.

Mtu aliyerudishwa kulelewa upya ni mwanamke aliyepelekwa kwa wazazi wake kutoka kwenye familia ya mume wake kwenda kupewa malezi upya. Mwanamke huyo aliwashinda wanafamilia ya mume wake kwa sababu ya kiburi chake. Yeye alirudishwa nyumbani kwa wazazi wake ili akalelewe upya. Ndiyo maana watu walimwambia kwamba, “mtu huyu amerudishwa kulelewa upya.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule asiyeyajali vizuri malezi ya wakubwa wake katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwa hayasikilizi vizuri malezi ya wakubwa wake hao kwa sababu ya kutokujali kwake, maishani mwake. Yeye hushindwa kuilea vyema familia yake kwa sababu ya kushindwa kuyasikiliza vizuri malezi ya wakubwa wake hao, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo hufanana na yule mwanamke aliyerudishwa kutoka ukweni kwenda kwa wazazi wake kwa lengo la kulelewa upya, kwa sababu naye huwa hayajali vizuri malezi ya viongozi wake mpaka anashindwa kuilea vizuri familia yake hiyo, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “mtu huyu amerudishwa kulelewa upya.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuyasikiliza na kuyaishi vizuri malezi ya viongozi wao, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THIS PERSON HAS BEEN RE-RAISED.

A person who has been re-raised is a woman who was sent to her parents from her husband’s family to be nurtured again. This woman overcame her husband’s family because of her pride. She was sent back to her parents’ home to be re-raised. That is why people said about her that, “This person has been re-raised.”

This saying is equaled to a person who does not pay proper attention to upbringings of his elders in his life. This person does not listen well to the nurtures of his leaders because of his indifference, in his life. He fails to raise his family well because of his failure to listen well to that rearing of his seniors, in his life.

This person resembles the woman who was sent by her husband back to her parents for the purpose of being nurtured again, because he also does not pay proper attention to the upbringing of his leaders to the point of failing to raise his family well. That is why people say about him that, “This person has been re-raised.”

This saying teaches people about listening to and live well the upbringing of their leaders, so that they can raise their families well in their lives.

Akahayile kenako kanhoyelile munhu uyo olinhingi o mbina. Unhingi ng’wunuyo oliagutogilwe noyi unimo gokwe kunguno obhagongolaga chiza mpaga bhayega abhanhu abho bhang’witanaga umumilimo yabho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhenabho bhagayomba giki, “umunhu uyu alingongoji ng’wiza.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo ayidilille bho guitumama chiza ilimimo yakwe umukikalile kakwe. This proverb is related to a person who cares about his work by doing it well, in his life. This person teaches his people his exertions by going to work and working hard enough to do it well because he likes job by caring about it well, in his life. He earns a lot of wealth in his family because of teaching his people jobs by caring about them well, in his life.

This person is like the leader of a dance group who adorned people who invited him to their events by singing beautiful songs, because he also teaches his people on how to how work by working hard in his life. That is why people say that, “This man is a good dancer.”

This proverb imparts in people an idea of taking decent care of their works by working hard, so that they can achieve great success, in their families in all days of their lives.

Ndiyo maana yalipogusana majembe yao waliambiana kurudi nyumbani kwa kusema kwamba, “Wakamba wamekataa.”

Watu hao, huyatekeleza majukumu yao kwa ushirikiano wa kuyashikiria maagizo ya viongozi wao kwa sababu ya umakini wao huo maishani mwao. Wao huishi kwa furaha kubwa katika familia zao kwa sababu ya kuyashikiria vizuri maagizo ya viongozi wao, katika maisha yao hayo.

ENGLISH: THE KAMBA HAVE REFUSED.

The Kamba are a people who have kept their traditions well together with the Baloha. The Kamba of ridge and the Baloha did their works in great cooperation because they followed their instructions well, in their lives. When they were working by cultivating their land using hand hoes, they did not allow their hoes to touch each other, if they touched each other they returned home, meaning that the Kamba had rejected because of following their instructions well. That is why when their hoes touched each other, they told each other to return home by saying that, “The Kamba have refused.”

This saying is compared to people who follow instructions of their leaders well in their lives. These people carry out their duties in cooperation by following instructions of their leaders because of their paying attention to their lives. They live very happily in their families because of following instructions of their leaders, in their lives.

These people are like those who have followed their leaders’ instructions well until they have great cooperation in their works, because they also follow instructions of their leaders well until they find great happiness in their families. That is why they say that, “the Kamba have refused.”

This saying teaches people about being watchful enough to follow the instructions of their leaders well, so that they can have great happiness in their lives.

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako ihoyelile bhukandi bho bhusu bho ngano. Olihoyi munhu uyo okandaga bhusu bho ngano ub’o bhugakandwa mpaga bhomonda na wigelelwa guzugwa mandazi, chapati na migate. Hunagwene umunhu ng’wunuyo agayombaga giki “najikandandilile jumonda.”

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agigulambijaga gutumama milimo yakwe bho nguvu ningi na bhukamu bhutale kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe mpaga onamhala naonaga lulu uguitumama imilimo yiniyo. Uweyi agapandikaga matwajo mingi aha kaya yakwe kunguno ya bhukamu bhunubho ubho gutumama milimo yakwe bho nguvu ningi, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga nuyo agakanda bhusu bho ngano mpaga bhumonda bho gwikoma guzugwa mandazi, chapati na migate, kunguno nuweyi agatumamaga milimo yakwe mpaga opandika matwajo mingi, umuwikaji bhokwe. “hunagwene agayombaga giki, “najikandile jumonda.”

 KISWAHILI: NIMEUKANDA UKALAINIKA.

Chanzo cha msemo huo huongelea juu ya unga wa ngano.  Alikuwepo mtu aliyekuwa akitengeneza unga huo wa ngano kwa kuukanda mpaka ukalainika kiasi cha kutosha kutumika kwa kupikia maandazi, chapati na mikate. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “nimeukanda ukalainika.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ni mkakamavu wa kufanya kazi katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hujibidisha kufanya kazi zake kwa nguvu nyingi na kwa bidii kubwa kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake huo, mpaga anazeeka ndipo anachoka kuzifanya kazi hizo. Yeye hupata mafanikio mengi katika familia yake kwa sababu ya bidii yake hiyo ya kufanya kazi zake kwa nguvu nyingi, maishani mwake.

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na uaminifu wa kujibidisha kuyatekeleza majukumu yao kwa nguvu nyingi, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi ya kuwasaidia katika kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: “I KNEADED IT UNTIL IT WAS SOFT.”

The origin of this saying is about wheat flour. There was a person who was making wheat flour by kneading it until it was soft enough to be used for baking buns, and bread. That is why he said that, “I kneaded it until it was soft.”

This saying is matched to a person who is hardworking in his life. This person, exerts himself to do his work with great strength and diligence because of his loyalty, when he gets old he gets tired of doing those jobs. He achieves a lot of success in his family because of his diligence in doing his works with great strength, in his life.

This person resembles the one who kneaded wheat flour until it was soft enough to be used for baking buns, and bread, because he also works hard until he achieves a lot of success in his life. That is why he says that, “I kneaded it until it was soft.”

This saying instills in people a clue of being honest and hard working enough to nicely fulfill their responsibilities, so that they can achieve countless successes which can help them in developing their family lives.
