1471. BATINDIJI PYE.

Akahayile kenako kahoyelile ndimu iyo igitanagwa ng’holo. Indimu yiniyo, igikalaga ndyehu bhuli makanza kunguno ya kabhumbulwe kayo kenako, umuwikaji bhoyo. Iyoyi igabhizaga guti giki igutindilaga, umukikalile kayo kenako. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagajitinaga ing’holo jinijo giki, “bhatindiji pye.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alinyehu umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikalaga na bhanhu bho gwiyambilija kutumama milimo yabho chiza, kunguno ya bhulyehu bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agabhalelaga chiza abhanhu bha ha kaya yakwe yiniyo, kunguno ya bhulyehu bhokwe bhunubho umukikalile kakwe kenako.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga ni ng’holo iyo ilindyehu kunguno nuweyi ali na bhulyehu bho gubhalela chiza abhanhu bhakwe, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayombaga giki, “batindiji pye.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na bhulyehu bho gwikala chiza na bhichabho, kugiki bhadule gujilela chiza ikaya jabho jinijo, umuwikaji bhobho bhunubho.

KISWAHILI: WASINZIAJI WOTE.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya mnyama anayeitwa kondoo. Mnyama huyo huishi kwa utulivu kila wakati kwa sababu ya kuumbwa kwake hivyo maishani mwake. Kondoo huyo, huonekana kana kwamba, anasinzia katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana watu huwaita kondoo wote kuwa ni “wasinziaji wote.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ni mpole katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huishi na watu kwa kusaidiana katika kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao, kwa sababu ya upole wake huo, maishani mwake. Yeye huwalea vyema watu walioko kwenye familia yake hiyo, kwa sababu ya upole wake huo, katika maisha yake hayo.  

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule kondoo anayeishi kwa utulivu, kwa sababu naye ana upole wa kuwalea vyema watu wake, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba ni, “wasinziaji wote.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na upole wa kuwawezesha kuishi na wenzao vizuri, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: ALL SLEEPERS.

This saying refers to an animal called a sheep. A sheep is known for its calm and peaceful nature. It does not fight aggressively but lives quietly among others. Because of its gentle behavior, people say that sheep seem as if they are always asleep. That is why they are called “all sleepers.”

This proverb is compared to a person who is gentle in his life. A gentle person lives peacefully with others. He cooperates with people, helps them carry out their duties, and avoids conflict. Because of his calm spirit, he builds unity in his community.

Such a person also raises his family well. Through patience and kindness, he guides his children and supports his household with wisdom. He resembles the sheep that lives peacefully among the flock. For this reason, people may describe him as “all sleepers,” meaning he is calm, humble, and gentle.

This saying imparts in people an idea of importance of gentleness. A gentle person is able to live well with others, maintain harmony, and build a strong family through patience and love.

In Book of Hebrews 12:3, believers are encouraged to consider Christ, who endured opposition with patience, so that they may not grow weary.

In Book of Jeremiah 11:19, the prophet compares himself to a gentle lamb led to the slaughter, showing humility and innocence.

These scriptures remind us that gentleness and patience are signs of strength, not weakness.

 

 

1470. NANG’HO OPOMOKELA.

Olihoyi munhu uyo otumamaga nimo gokwe uyo goli na solobho nhale umuwikaji bhokwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo ogutumamaga bhuligwa unimo gokwe gunuyo kunguno ya solobho yago yiniyo aha kaya yakwe. Uweyi wigulambijaga ugugutumama unimo gunuyo bho nduhu uguguleka nulu alifigilijiwa na bhiye. Hunagwene abhanbu bhenabho bhagang’wilaga giki, “nang’ho opomokela.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alina wiyumilija bho gwigulambijaga gutumama milimo yakwe bho nduhu ugugwa ing’holo nulu alidahahijiwa na bhiye, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agigulambijaga gutumama milimo yabho bho nduhu ugubhadegeleka abhanhu abho bhagaidalihijaga imilimo yakwe, kunguno ya wiyumilija bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi apandikaga sabho ningi noyi aha kaya yakwe yiniyo, aha kaya yakwe kunguno ya wiyumilija bhokwe bhunubho ubho gutumama milimo yakwe yiniyo nulu bhalindalihija abhiye, umukikalile kakwe kenako.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo otumamaga nimo gokwe bho nduhu uguguleka nulu bhalindalahija abhiye, kunguno nuweyi agigulambijaga gutumama milimo yakwe bho nduhu ugoya nulu bhalimbyeda abhiye, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhenabho bhagang’wilaga giki, “nang’ho opomokela.”

KISWAHILI: NAWE HAMNA.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyekuwa akifanya kazi yake iliyokuwa na faida kubwa maishani mwake. Mtu huyo, aliifanya kazi yake hiyo kila siku kwa sababu ya faida kubwa ya kazi yake hiyo.  Yeye alijibidisha kuitekeleza kazi yake bila ya kukubali kukatishwa tamaa na watu wenzake waliomdharau. Ndiyo maana watu hao walimwambia kuwa, “nawe hamna.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana uvumilivu wa kujibidisha kufanya kazi yake bila ya kukata tamaa anapodharauliwa na wenzake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hujibidisha kufanya kazi zake bila ya kuwasikiliza wale wanaoidharau kazi yake kwa sababu ya uvumilivu wake huo, maishani mwake. Yeye hupata mali nyingi sana kwenye familia yake hiyo, kwa sababu ya uvumilifu wake huo wa kuendelea kuyatekeleza majukumu yake hata pale anapodharauliwa na wenzake, katika maisha yake hayo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyefanya kazi yake hiyo bila ya kuiaacha hata pale alipodharauliwa na wenzake, kwa sababu naye hujibidisha kufanya kazi zake bila ya kuiacha hata pale anapodharauliwa na wenzake, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu hao humwambia kwamba, “nawe humna.”

Msemo huyo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na uvumilivu wa kujibidisha kuyatakelekeza vizuri majukumu yao bila ya kuyaacha hata kama baadhi ya watu watawadharau, ili waweze kupata mali za kuwasaidia katika kuzilea vyema familia zao hizo, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: YOU ARE NOTHING

There was a man who was doing a job that brought him great profit in his life. He worked every day because his work was very rewarding. He tried his best to carry out his duties faithfully, without allowing himself to be discouraged by his peers who looked down on him. Because they despised his work by telling him, “You are nothing.”

This saying is compared to a person who has patience to work hard and continue doing his job without giving up, even when others look down on him. Such a person does not listen to those who despise his work. Instead, he remains patient and focused on his responsibilities. Because of his perseverance, he earns wealth and is able to provide well for his family.

That person is like the man who refused to give up, even when he was despised by his peers. He continues striving in his work with determination and patience. Although people say to him, “You are nothing,” he proves through his actions that he is committed and responsible.

This saying teaches people to be patient and steadfast in managing their responsibilities. Even if others despise or underestimate them, they should not give up. Through perseverance and faithfulness, they will succeed and be able to support their families well in life.

Deuteronomy 27:16 – A reminder about respecting others and not treating them with contempt.

2 Chronicles 36:16 – People mocked and despised God’s messengers.

Isaiah 53:3 – The servant of the Lord was despised and rejected by others.

These scriptures show that being despised does not mean a person has no value. Even those chosen by God were rejected, yet their purpose was great.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agagudimilaga umhayo go ng’wa Mulungu bho gugikalana chiza amalagilo gakwe na gwikala na bhanhu chiza, kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi apandikaga mbango ja gwikala na bhuyegi aha kaya yake kunguno ya bhutungilija bhokwe bhunubho ubho gugudimila chiza umhayo go ng’wa Sebha, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nu mongo uyo gugahumaga pye amakanza bho nduhu ugukama, kunguno nuweyi agasalilaga pye amakanza bho nduhu ugunoga, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “nh’umo go humila wilali.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na bhutungilija bho gugadimila amalagilo ga ng’wa Mulungu bhuli makanza bho nduhu ugunoga, kugiki bhadule kupandika mbango ja gubhashisha ng’wigulu.

KISWAHILI: MTIRIRIKO UMETIRIRIKA KIMOJA.

Ulikuwepo mto ambao ulikuwa ukitiririka kimoja wakati wote wa kiangazi na wa masika bila ya kukoma. Mto huo ulitiririka wakati wote bila ya kukatika kwa sababu ya wingi wa maji yake. Ndiyo maana watu walisema kwamba, “mtiririko umetiririka kimoja.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hulishikiria neno la Mungu kila wakati, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hulishikilia neno la Mungu kwa kuyaishi vizuri maagizo yake na kuishi vizuri na watu, kwa sababu ya unyofu wake huo maishani mwake. Yeye hupata baraka za kuishi kwa furaha katika familia yake kwa sababu ya uaminifu wake huo wa kuliishi vyema neno la Mungu, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na ule mto uliotiririka wakati wote bila kukoma, kwa sababu naye hulishikiria neno la Mungu kila wakati bila kushoka, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu walimwambia kwamba, “mtiririko umetiririka kimoja.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na uaminifu wa kuyaishi maagizo ya Mungu wakati wote bila kushoka, ili waweze kupata baraka za kuwafikisha mbinguni.

ENGLISH: THE FLOW HAS FLOWED ALL THE TIME.

There was a river that flowed continuously throughout summer and winter without ever stopping. It flowed at all times because it had an abundance of water. For this reason, people said, “The flow has flowed all the time.”

This saying is compared to a person who holds firmly to the Word of God at all times in his life. He remains faithful by following God’s instructions and living well with other people. Because of his honesty and obedience, he receives blessings and lives peacefully and happily with his family.

That person is like the river that never stops flowing. Just as the river flows continuously, he continues to live according to God’s Word without giving up. That is why people say about him, “The flow has flowed all the time.”

This saying teaches people to remain faithful to God’s commandments at all times without failing, so that they may receive blessings and inherit eternal life.

Matthew 24:35 – “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

Mark 13:31 – “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

Luke 21:33 – “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

Uweyi agayulila mu mbeho kunguno ya kupandika mhiya ja gugulila jiliwa bho nduhu ugupya ilimi. Hunagwene agayomba giki, “nagulilaga ha numbaga.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alina masala ga gwigugulambija gutumama milimo yakwe chiza mpaga opandika sabho ja gutumamila umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agagatumamilaga amasala gakwe bho guchola milimo miza na gwigulambija guitumama chiza mpaga opandika jiliwa oyulya chiza aha kaya yakwe yiniyo, kunguno ya masala gakwe genayo, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi apandikaga sabho ja gulya chiza aha kaya yakwe kunguno ya masala gakwe genayo, agatumama milimo yakwe chiza chiniko, umukikalile kakwe kenako.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga nuyo agasoma mpaga upandika nimo gogupandikila mhiya ja gulila mu mbeho, kunguno nuweyi alina masala gagwigulambija gutumama milimo chiza mpaga opandika jiliwe ja gulya chiza aha kaya yakwe yiniyo, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “nagulilaga ha numbaga.”

KISWAHILI: NINAKULA NIKIWA KIVULINI.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyesoma vizuri mpaka akashinda vizuri katika masomo yake. Msomi huyo, alipata kazi iliyompatia hela kwa sababu ya usomi wake huo. Yeye alianza kula akiwa kivulini kwa sababu ya pesa alizozipata kwenye mshahara wakutoka kwenye kazi yake hiyo. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “ninakula nikiwa kivulini.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana akili za kujibidisha kufanya kazi zake vizuri mpaka anapata mali nyingi, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo huitumia vizuri akili yake kwa kujibidisha kufanya kazi vizuri mpaka anapata chakula cha kula vizuri katika familia yake, kwa sababu ya akili zake hizo, maishani mwake. Yeye hupata mali za kula vizuri katika familia yake kwa sababu ya akili zake hizo, za kujibidisha kufanya kazi vizuri hivyo, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyesoma vizuri mpaka akapata kazi ya kumpatia pesa za kumwezesha kula akiwa kivulini, kwa sababu naye ana akili za kujibidisha kufanya kazi zake vizuri mpaka akapata chakula cha kula vizuri kwenye familia yake hiyo, maishani mwake. Ndiyo husema kwamba, “ninakula nikiwa kivulini.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na akili za kujibidisha kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao, ili waweze kupata mali za kula vizuri katika familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I EAT IN THE SHADE.

There was a man who studied diligently until he excelled in his education. Because of his hard work and intelligence, he secured a good job that provided him with a steady income. As a result of his salary, he was able to live comfortably and “eat in the shade.” That is why he said, “I eat in the shade.”

This saying refers to a person who uses his intelligence wisely and works hard enough to perform his duties well until he gains prosperity in life. Through dedication and perseverance, he earns enough to provide good food and a stable life for his family. His success does not come by chance, but through effort, discipline, and responsible living.

Such a person is like the one who studied hard and obtained a job that enabled him to “eat in the shade.” In the same way, anyone who applies wisdom and diligence in their work will eventually enjoy the fruits of their labor.

This saying teaches people the significance of intelligence, hard work, and commitment to responsibilities. When a person works faithfully and wisely, he will be able to support his family and live a stable and honorable life.

Jeremiah 52:33–34 — Jehoiachin was released from prison and given regular provision for the rest of his life.

Aho kale bhalihoyi bhanhu abho bhali bhaja kulombo na nva yabho. Inva yao yiniyo yanunhilijaga unsu go ndimu ulu yabhijimija mpaka yakupandika chiza na gwiyubhona indimu yiniyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhenabho bhagayomga giki, “yapula nsu.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alina masala gagujichola isabho mpaga ujipandika umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agagatumamilaga chiza amasala gakwe bho guitilila bhukengeji imilimo yakwe na gwigulambija guitumama chiza mpaga oyimala, kunguno ya masala gakwe genayo, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi apandikaga sabho ningi noyi aha kaya yakwe yiniyo kunguno ya gugatumamila chiza amasala gakwe genabho, umukikalile kakwe kenako.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga ni nva iyo yanunhilijaga unsu go ndimu ulu yabhijimija mpaga yayipandika, kunguno nuweyi agagatumamilaga chiza amasala gakwe bho gwigulambija gutumama milimo yakwe chiza mpaga opandika sabho ningi aha kaya yakwe yiniyo, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “yapula nsu.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gudebha ugugatumamila chiza amasala gabho bho gwigulambija gutumama milimo yabho chiza, kugiki bhadule gupandika sabho ningi, umukaya jabho jinijo.

KISWAHILI: AMENUSA HARUFU.

Hapo zamani walikuwepo watu waliokuwa wanawinda wanyama poli na mbwa wao. Mbwa huyo alikuwa akimtafuta mnyama wanayemuwinda anapowapotea kwa kunusa harufu yake mpaka anampata. Ndiyo maana watu hao walisema kwamba, “amenusa harufu.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana akili za kutafuta mali mpaka anaipata katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huitumia vizuri akili yake hiyo kwa kuzifanyia utafiti kazi zake na kujibidisha kuzitekeleza vizuri mpaka anazimaliza kwa sababu ya akili yake hiyo, maishani mwake. Yeye hupata mali nyingi sana katika familia yake kwa sababu ya kuzitumia vizuri hivyo akili zake hizo, katika maisha yake hayo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule mbwa aliyemtafuta mnyama kwa kunusa harufu yake mpaka akampata, kwa sababu naye huitumiza vizuri akili yake kwa kutafuta kazi na kuzitekeleza vizuri mpaka anafanikiwa kupaka mali nyingi katika familia yake, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kamba, “amerusa harufu.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuelewa namna ya kuzitumia vizuri akili zao kwa kujibidisha kuzitekeleza vizuri kazi zao, ili waweze kupata mali nyingi katika familia zao hizo.

ENGLISH: IT HAS SNIFFED THE SMELL.

In the past, people hunted wild animals with the help of dogs. When the animal escaped or became lost, the dog would search for it by following its scent. The dog carefully sniffed the ground and tracked the smell until it found the animal. Because of this ability, people would say, “It has sniffed the smell.”

This saying is compared to a person who has intelligence and determination to search for success and wealth in life. Just as the dog follows the scent without giving up, a wise person uses his mind carefully. He studies his tasks, plans well, and works hard until he achieves his goals. Through persistence and intelligence, he succeeds and brings prosperity to his family.

That person is like the hunting dog that tracks the animal by its scent until it finds it. In the same way, he uses wisdom and careful thinking to identify opportunities and carry out his work successfully. Because of this effort and intelligence, he gains wealth and improves his life.

Therefore, when people say, “It has sniffed the smell,” they are praising someone who is clever, observant, and hardworking in seeking success.

This saying teaches people to use their minds wisely, work diligently, and to remain focused until they achieve their goals and bring prosperity to their families.
