Mtu huyo alijifunza tabia njema kwa kuishi na watu vizuri kwa sababu alifahamu kuwa, anaweza kupewa ufalme wakati wowote. Yeye alirithishwa ufalme huo baada ya kufariki mfalme huyo. Ndiyo maana watu walisema kwamba ana, “ufalme wa kuzaliwa nao.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hujifunza tabia njema ambayo yaweza kumsaidia katika kuwaongoza vizuri watu wake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huyaishi malezi mema ya wazazi wake kwa kuwasaidia watu anaoishi nao, kwa sababu ya tabia yake hiyo njema, maishani mwake. Yeye huwaongoza vizuri watu wa kijiji chake kwa sababu ya tabia yake hiyo njema, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule mwana wa mfalme aliyejifunza tabia njema mpaka akapewa ufalme alipofariki yule mfalme, kwa sababu naye huyaishi malezi mema ya wazazi wake mpaka anaweza kuwaongoza vizuri watu wa kijiji chake, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba ana, “ufalme wa kuzaliwa nao.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuyaishi malezi mema wanayofundishwa na wakubwa wao, ili waweze kuwaongoza vizuri watu wao, katika utumishi wao.

ENGLISH: KINGSHIP BY BIRTH.

The derivation of this saying is from a son of the king who inherited the kingdom after the king passed away. There was a man who was born into a royal family. Such man learned good manners by living well with people because he knew that he could inherit such kingdom at any time. He inherited the kingdom after passing away of the king. That is why people said that he had, “a kingship by birth.”

This saying is related to a person who learns good manners that can help him in leading his people in his life. Such person puts into place good upbringings of his parents by helping people whom he stay with, because of his good manners in his life. He soundly leads people in his village because of his good manners in his lifespan.

This person resembles the son of the king who learned good manners until he was given the kingdom when the king joined the ancestors, because he also puts into practice the good upbringings of his parents until he managed to healthily lead people of his village in his lifetime. That is why people tell him that he has, “a kingship by birth.”

This saying teaches people about being so careful enough to apply the good upbringings which they are taught by their elders, so that they can lead their people well in their service.

Hasira hali ni hali ya mtu kukasilika mpaga kupitiliza. Yeye hushindwa kuilea vizuri familia yake kwa sababu ya kukosa umakini huo ya kuyafikiria vizuri maneno ayasikiayo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyekasilika mpaka akataka kupigana aliposikia neno fulani, kwa sababu naye hukosa raha anaposikia neno fulani bila hata kulifanyia utafiti wa kumsaidia kulielewa vizuri, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “aliposikia alipata hasira kali.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuyafanyia utafiti wa kutosha kuyaelewa maneno wayasikiayo, ili waweze kuyaelewa yale wawezayo kuwasaidia katika kuzilea vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: WHEN HE HEARD HE GOT STRONG ANGER.

An intense anger is a state of a person’s feeling of fury that goes beyond a point of resentment. There was a man who heard a certain word which caused him to feel a strong anger that led him to start fighting because his heart was by that word. He became unhappy in his life. That is why people said that, “when he heard he got strong anger.”

This saying is matched to a person who does not have maturity of researching words which he hears in his life. Such person is hurt by words which he hears without even researching them enough to help him understand whether they have truth or liars, because of not being attentive enough to think well about those words, in his mind. He fails to raise his family well because of not having such attention in his life.

This person is similar to the one who became angry to the point of starting to fight when he heard a certain word, because he also feels uncomfortable when he hears a certain word without even researching it enough to understand it well, in his life. That is why people say to him that, “When he heard he got strong anger.”

This saying imparts in people a clue of being careful to enough study words which they hear, so that they can help them in nurturing their families in their lives.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agayombaga mihayo yose yose umumahoya gakwe ni ya bhulomolomo mumo bho nduhu uguitegeleja chiza kunguno alina nhungwa jabhubhi, umukikalile kakwe. Uweyi agabhalisanyaga abhanhu bhaha kaya yakwe kunguno ya nhungwa jakwe ija bhubhi jinijo, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga ni lizub’ilo lya ndilo ilo ligazub’aga josejose ijo jilimuminzi, kunguno nuweyi agasolelejaga mihayo yoseyose ni mib’i umumahoya gakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’witanaga giki, “lugonda mazub’ilo.”

Mtu huyo, huongea maneno yoyote yakiwemo yale ya uongo katika maongezi yake, kwa sababu anatabia mbaya katika maisha yake. Yeye huwagombanisha watu waiishio katika familia yake kwa sababu ya tabia yake hiyo mbaya ya kuongea maneno ya uongo maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na ule mtego wa samaki uliokamata chochote kinachoishi majini, kwa sababu naye huokoteza na kuyaongea maneno yoyote yakiwemo yale ya uongo, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humuita jina la “akunjaye mitego.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na tabia njema ya kuwawezesha kuongea maneno yao kwa umakini mkubwa katika maongezi yao, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THE TRAPS TWISTER

The origin of this saying refers to trap of aquatic creatures. This trap is a fishing tool that has a long rope which is made of hooks that are close together. When it is thrown into a pond, it catches anything in it, such as leeches, snakes and many other aquatic beings. Those caught ones can twist the trap. That is why people call it, “the traps twister.”

This saying is matched to a person who twists any word, including dishonest ones in his communication. Such person speaks deceitful words, in his dialogue because of having wicked wont in his life. He causes conflict among people who live in his family because of his evil pattern of speaking indelicate words in his life.

This person is similar to the fish trap that catches anything that lives in water, because he also twists any word by speaking fabricated ones in his life. That is why people call him, “the traps twister.”

This saying instills in people an idea of having good manners that enable them to speak their words with great care in their conversations, so that they can raise their families well in their lives.

Yeye hutajirika kwa kupata mali nyingi kwenye familia yake, kwa sababu ya bidii yake hiyo ya kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yake, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyejiandaa kuitekeleza kazi yake mpaka akaimaliza vizuri, kwa sababu naye huwa tayari kuyatekeleza majukumu yake vizuri, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “umefika muda wa shughuli yangu.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na bidii ya kuyatekeleza majukumu yao vizuri unapofika wakati wake, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

The origin of this saying looks at person’s work. Such work was a big cerebration that person has planned to do during the waited time. Such person prepared well when he waited that time because he wanted to finish his work well. That is why when that time came, such person said, “it is time for my work.”

This saying is equated to a person who prepares well enough to carry out his responsibilities in his life. This person is ready to carry out his responsibilities when the time comes by fulfilling it well because of his diligence in doing his work, in his life. He becomes rich by acquiring a lot of wealth in his family, because of his diligence in carrying out his responsibilities well, in his life.

This person resembles the one who prepared to carry out his work until he finishes it well, because he is also ready to carry out his responsibilities well in his life. That is why he says “it is time for my work.”

This proverb teaches people about being diligent enough to fulfill their duties when the time comes, so that they can achieve great success in their lives.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agatumamaga milimo na witegeleja mpaga oyimala chiza bho nduhu uguidilila imihayo ya bhanhu abho bhagayidulihijaga kunguno aidebhile isobho ya milimo yiniyo, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agapandika sabho ningi umubhutumami bhokwe bhunubho kunguno ya wiyumilija bhokwe ubho guitumama chiza imilimo yakwe yiniyo, umubhutumami bhokwe bhunubho.

Umunhu ung’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo otumamaga milimo yakwe bho nduhu ugubhadilila abho bhayiduhilijaga, kunguno nuweyi agiyumilijaga gutumama milimo yakwe mpaga oyimala bho nduhu ugubhadilila abho bhagayiduhilijaga umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “kimba natumame nimo ki uyo bhadutogilwe abhanhu.”

Mtu huyo, hufanya kazi kwa umakini mpaka anazimaliza vizuri bila kuyajali maneno ya watu wanaozidharau kwa sababu anazielewa faida za kazi hizo, maishani mwake. Yeye hupata mali nyingi katika kazi zake hizo kwa sababu ya uvumilivu wake huo wa kuzitekeleza vizuri kazi zake, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyeendelea kufanya kazi zake bila kuwajali wale waliozidharau, kwa sababu naye huyatekeleza majukumu yake kwa uvumilivu mpaga anayamaliza bila kuwajali wale wanaozidharau, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana husema kwamba, “sijui nifanye kazi gani wanayoipenda watu.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao zinazowapatia faida kubwa, bila kuyajali maneno ya wale wanaozidharau, ili waweze kupata mali za kutosha kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

That is why he says, “I do not know what kind of work I should do which people like.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of being focused on doing their jobs which can bring them great benefits, regardless of words of those who despise them, so that they can get enough assets to support their families in their lifetime.
