Imbuki ya kahayile kenako ilolile ng’wanya go ng’wa munhu nebhe. Ung’wanya gunuyo guli nimo ntale uyo oliogupanga munhu gugwita ulu lyushiga ilikanza ilo alihayile. Umunhu ng’wunuyo agibhegelejaga chiza ulu alililindila ilikanza linilo kunguno atogilwe agumale chiza unimo gokwe gunuyo ululyushiga ilikanza lya gugutumama. Hunagwene aho lyashiga ilikanza lya nimo gokwe agayomba giki, “goshiganaga ung’wana gone.”

KISWAHILI: UMEFIKA MUDA WA SHUGHULI YANGU.

Chanzo cha msemo huo huangalia shughuli ya mtu fulani. Shughuli hiyo ni kazi kubwa aliyoipanga mtu huyo kuifanya ukifika muda ule alioupanga. Mtu huyo, hujiandaa vizuri anapousubiri muda huo kwa sababu anapenda kuimaliza vizuri shughuli yake hiyo ukifika wakati wake. Ndiyo maana unapofika wakati huo mtu huyo husema, “umefika muda wa shughuli yangu.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye hujiandaa vizuri kuyatekeleza majukumu yake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwa tayari kuyatekeleza majukumu yake hayo muda ukifika kwa kujitoa vizuri kwa sababu ya bidii yake hiyo ya kufanya kazi zake, maishani mwake. Yeye hutajirika kwa kupata mali nyingi kwenye familia yake, kwa sababu ya bidii yake hiyo ya kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yake, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyejiandaa kuitekeleza kazi yake mpaka akaimaliza vizuri, kwa sababu naye huwa tayari kuyatekeleza majukumu yake vizuri, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “umefika muda wa shughuli yangu.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na bidii ya kuyatekeleza majukumu yao vizuri unapofika wakati wake, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: IT IS TIME FOR MY WORK.

The origin of this saying looks at person’s work. Such work was a big cerebration that person has planned to do during the waited time. Such person prepared well when he waited that time because he wanted to finish his work well. That is why when that time came, such person said, “it is time for my work.”

This saying is equated to a person who prepares well enough to carry out his responsibilities in his life. This person is ready to carry out his responsibilities when the time comes by fulfilling it well because of his diligence in doing his work, in his life. He becomes rich by acquiring a lot of wealth in his family, because of his diligence in carrying out his responsibilities well, in his life.

This person resembles the one who prepared to carry out his work until he finishes it well, because he is also ready to carry out his responsibilities well in his life. That is why he says “it is time for my work.”

This proverb teaches people about being diligent enough to fulfill their duties when the time comes, so that they can achieve great success in their lives.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agatumamaga milimo na witegeleja mpaga oyimala chiza bho nduhu uguidilila imihayo ya bhanhu abho bhagayidulihijaga kunguno aidebhile isobho ya milimo yiniyo, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agapandika sabho ningi umubhutumami bhokwe bhunubho kunguno ya wiyumilija bhokwe ubho guitumama chiza imilimo yakwe yiniyo, umubhutumami bhokwe bhunubho.

Umunhu ung’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo otumamaga milimo yakwe bho nduhu ugubhadilila abho bhayiduhilijaga, kunguno nuweyi agiyumilijaga gutumama milimo yakwe mpaga oyimala bho nduhu ugubhadilila abho bhagayiduhilijaga umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene agayombaga giki, “kimba natumame nimo ki uyo bhadutogilwe abhanhu.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na witegeleja bho gwigulambija gutumama milimo yabho iyo igabhinhaga solobho nhale, bho nduhu gudilila mihayo ya bhanhu abho bhagaiduhilijaga, kugiki bhadule gupandika sabho ja gubhambilija ujibheja chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: SIJUI NIFANYE KAZI GANI WANAYOIPENDA WATU.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyeishi kwenye kijiji cha Mangu. Mtu huyo, alikuwa akifanya kazi zake vizuri, lakini watu walizidharau tu kwa sababu ya kumuonea wivi katika utumishi wake huo. Mwishowe alijiuliza maswali mengi katika mawazo yake. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “sijui nifanye kazi gani wanayoipenda watu.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huvumilia kufanya kazi zake bila kuyajali maneno ya wale wanaozidharau, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hufanya kazi kwa umakini mpaka anazimaliza vizuri bila kuyajali maneno ya watu wanaozidharau kwa sababu anazielewa faida za kazi hizo, maishani mwake. Yeye hupata mali nyingi katika kazi zake hizo kwa sababu ya uvumilivu wake huo wa kuzitekeleza vizuri kazi zake, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyeendelea kufanya kazi zake bila kuwajali wale waliozidharau, kwa sababu naye huyatekeleza majukumu yake kwa uvumilivu mpaga anayamaliza bila kuwajali wale wanaozidharau, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana husema kwamba, “sijui nifanye kazi gani wanayoipenda watu.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao zinazowapatia faida kubwa, bila kuyajali maneno ya wale wanaozidharau, ili waweze kupata mali za kutosha kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: I DO NOT KNOW WHAT KIND OF WORK I SHOULD DO WHICH PEOPLE LIKE.

There was a man who lived in the village of Mangu. Such man did his works well, but people only looked down on him because they were jealous of his service. At the end, he asked himself many questions in his mind. That is why he said, “I do not know what kind of work I should do which people like.”

This saying is equaled to a person who perseveres in doing his work regardless of words of people who despise them in his life. This person works seriously until he finishes his works well without caring about words of people who despise them because of knowing benefits of those works in his life. He gets a lot of wealth in his works because of having strong patience enough to carry out his works well in his life.

This person is similar to the one who continued doing his works without caring about those who despised them, because he also carries out his duties with patience to the point of finishing them without caring about those who despise them, in his life. That is why he says, “I do not know what kind of work I should do which people like.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of being focused on doing their jobs which can bring them great benefits, regardless of words of those who despise them, so that they can get enough assets to support their families in their lifetime.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo omanaga usama umuchalo jakwe oja muchalo jingi, kunguno bhuli kwene ukosamilaga opandikaga midamu umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wila giki, “ubhusamisami ubhucha midamu.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agandyaga kutumama milimo yakwe bho nduhu uguyitilia ubhukengeji ubho gudula gung’wambilija uguidebha chiza haho atali uguyandya, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agandyaga gutumama nimo gonemela wandya gutumama gungi, nu gwene uduma ugugumala kunguno ya gugaiwa witegeleja bho guitila bhukengeji imilimo yakwe yiniyo, haho atali uguyandya uguitumama umumilimo yakwe yiniyo. Uweyi agakoyiyagwa na makoye ga gugayiwa jiliwa aha kaya yakwe kunguno ya guduma uguimala imilimo iyo agandyaga guitumama bho nduhu gwiteleja chiza, umubhutumami bhokwe bhunubho.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo osamilaga muchalo bho nduhu ugujitila bhukengeji, ogapandika makoye, kunguno nuweyi agandyaga gutumama milimo yakwe bho nduhu uguitila bhukengeji, oduma uguimala, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “ubhusamisami ubhucha midamu.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na witegeleja bho guitilila bhukengeji imilimo yabho ubho gudula gubhambilija uguidebha chiza, haho bhatali uguyandya uguitumama, kugiki bhadule gupandika matwajo mingi umubhutumami bhobho.

KISWAHILI: KUHAMA HAMA UTABEBA MAGUMU.

Msemo huo huongelea uhamaji wa mtu uliyemletea matatizo magumu katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, alikuwa akihamahama kutoka kwenye kijiji chake kwenda kwenye kijiji kingine kwa sababu ya kuendelea kupata matatizo kila alikohamia. Ndiyo maana watu walimwambia kwamba, “kuhama hama utabeba magumu.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huanza kufanya kazi zake bila kuzifanyia utafiti wa kutosha kuzielewa vizuri katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huanza kufanya kazi ambazo hushindwa kuzimaliza kwa sababu ya kukosa umakini wa kuzifanyia utafiti kwanza kabla ya kuzianza, katika utekelezaji wa majumu yake hayo. Yeye husumbuliwa na matatizo ya kukosa chakula katika familia yake, kwa sababu ya kushindwa kuzimaliza kazi ambazo huzianza kuzifanya bila kuzifanyia utafiti, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyehamia kwenye kijiji bila kufanya utafiti akapata matatizo, kwa sababu naye huanza kuzifanya kazi zake bila kuzifanyia utafiti wa kutosha kuzielewa vizuri, maishani mwake.  Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “kuhama hama utabeba magumu.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuzifanyia utafiti kazi zao ule wa kutosha kuzielewa vizuri, ili waweze kupata mafanikio ya kuziendeleza vizuri, familia zao, maishani mwake.

ENGLISH: MOVING FROM PLACE TO ANOTHER WILL CARRY HARDSHIPS.

This saying parleys about movements of a person that brought him difficult hitches in his life. There a man who moved from his village to another one because of facing glitches wherever he moved to. That is why people told him that “moving from place to another will carry hardships.”

This saying is likened to a person who starts doing works without doing good research enough to understand them well in his life. This person starts doing tasks that he fails to finish because lacking good attention enough to research them first before starting them in his life. He suffers from famine hitches in his family, because of inability to finish the tasks that he starts doing without researching them in his life.

This person resembles the one who moved from one village to another without doing research which brought him glitches, because he also starts doing his work without doing good research enough to understand it well in his life. That is why people tell him that, “moving from place to another will carry hardships.”

This saying teaches people about being attentive to research their jobs well for understanding before starting them, so that they can get success in their families.

Umo obhanhu bhenabho obhimbilaga chiza noyi abhiye ulu loshiga uludima lokwe kunguno oliagutogilwe noyi unimo gokwe gunuyo. Hunagwene agayomba aho obhimbila abhiye giki, “lelo nane nalilyimbila.”

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyewaimbisha vizuri wenzake ilipofisha zamu yake katika kazi yake hiyo, kwa sababu naye huzitekeleza vizuri kazi zake mpaka anazimaliza, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana husema kwamba, “leo na mimi nimewaimbisha.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na upendo wa kujibidisha kuzifanya vizuri kazi zao, ili waweze kupata mali za kutosha kutumia katika familia zao, maishani mwao.

Uweyi wiganikaga giki abhanhu bhenabho bhagufunya bhulumbi ukuli weyi kunguno ya wiza bhunubho ubho obhitila. Aliyo lulu, ab’ayanda bha ha kaya yiniyo bhagang’witila mihayo ya bhubhi. Hunagwene agayomba giki, “ab’ayanda bho ng’wa sinzo mdachaga soni.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo adalumbaga ulu witilagwa mihayo ya wiza na bhiye, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhadalahijaga abhiye abho bhagang’witilaga mihayo ya wiza kunguno ya bhujidalumba bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agagayiyagwa abhanhu bha gung’wambilija aha kaya yakwe ulu opandikaga makoye kunguno ya gubhitila mihayo ya bhubhi abhanhu abho bhagang’wambilijaga bhenabho, umukikalile kakwe kenako.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo agikolaga na b’ayanda bha ng’wa sinzo abho bhagang’witila mihayo ya bhubhi uyo agabhitila ya wiza aha kaya yabho, kunguno nuweyi agabhadahilijaga abhiye abho bhagang’witilaga mihayo ya wiza, umuwikaji bhokwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “ab’ayanda bho ng’wa sinzo mdachaga soni.”

KISWAHILI: WAVULANA WA SINZO HAMUONI AIBU.

Chanzo cha msemo huo huangalia hali ya kutokujisikia aibu kwa wavulana wa Sinzo. Alikuwepo mtu aliyeenda kwenye familia ya hao wavulana akaitendea wema familia hiyo ya Sinzo. Yeye alitegemea kwamba, watu hao wangetoa shukrani kwake kwa wema huo aliowatendea. Lakini basi, wavulana wa kwenye familia hiyo, walimtendea uovu. Ndiyo maana alisema kwamba, “wavulana wa sinzo hamuoni aibu.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa mtu asiyekuwa na moyo wa shukrani anapotendewa wema na wenzake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo huwadharau wenzake wanaomtendea mema kwa kutokuwajali kwa sababu ya kukosa moyo wa shukrani maishani mwake. Yeye hukosa watu wa kumsaidia anapokumbwa na matatizo katika familia yake hiyo kwa sababu ya kuwatendea uovu huo wale wanaomsaidia, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na wale wavulana wa sinzo waliomtendea uovu yule aliyewatendea wema, kwa sababu naye huwatendea uovu wa kuwadharau wenzake wanaomtendea wema, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu hao humwambia kwamba, “wavulana wa sinzo hamuoni aibu.”

Msemo huo, huwafundisha watu juu ya kuwa na moyo wa shukrani kwa watu wanaowatendea wema, ili waweze kusaidiana katika kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH:  SINZO BOYS ARE NO ASHAMED.

The cradle of this saying stares at shamelessness of Sinzo’s boys. There was someone who went to Sinzo’s boys of boys and treated such family well. He hoped that those people would thank him for such kindness which he did to them. But then, these boys treated him severely. That is why he said that, “Sinzo boys are not ashamed.”

This saying is compared to a person who does not have a heart of gratitude when he is treated well by his colleagues in his life. Such person despises his colleagues who treat him well with indifference because of a lack of gratitude in his life. He has no people who can help him when he is faced with hitches in his family because of evil treatment to those who help him in his life.

This person is similar to Sinzo’s boys who treated maliciously the one who treated them well, because he also treats them with evil of despising his colleagues who treat him well, in his life. That is why those people tell him that, “Sinzo boys are not ashamed.”

This saying teaches people about having a gratitude heart to people who treat them well, so that they can help each other in developing their families in their lives.
