Akahayile kenako kahoyelile bhanhu abho bhagankumilijaga uyo bhadamonaga umukikalile kabho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagalimaga jiliwa jatulwa mbula na jakula mpaga japya aliyo bhadamona uyo agiyenhaga imbula yiniyo. Abhoyi bhaganzunyaga Mulungu bho gulola miito ayo agabhitilaga umuwikaji bhobho. Hunagwene bhagayombaga giki, “dugankumilijaga ujidab’onwa.”

KISWAHILI: TWAMSIFU ASIYEONWA.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya watu ambao humsifu yule asiyeonwa, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, hulima mazao ya chakula ambayo hunyeshewa mvua mpaka yanazaa bila kumuona yule alinayeileta mvua hiyo. Wao huamini kuwa Mungu yupo kwa kuyaangalia matendo anayowatendea hata kama hawamuoni. Ndiyo maana wao husema kwamba, “twamsifu asiyeonwa.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao hufanya kazi zao kwa kumtegemea Mungu, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, wana imani kubwa kwa Mungu ambaye huwapa nguvu za kuyatekelezea majukumu yao, mpaka wanayamaliza vizuri, kwa sababu ya uwezo wake huo. Wao hupata mali nyingi kwenye familia zao, na huwalea vizuri watu wao, kwa sababu ya kumtegemea Mungu, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale waliomsifu Mungu baada ya kulima mazao ya chakula na kupata mafanikio, kwa sababu nao hufanya kazi zao mpaka wanazimaliza kwa kumtegemea Mungu, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana wao husema kwamba, “twamsifu asiyeonwa.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kumwamini Mungu na kuyatekeleza majukumu yao yote, kwa kumtegemea Yeye, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuwa na mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: WE PRAISE THE UNSEEN.

This saying parleys about people who praise the unseen one in their lives. Those people grow food crops that are rained on until they bear fruits without seeing the one who brought the rain. They believe that God exists by looking at actions which He does to them even if they do not see Him. That is why they say that, “We praise the unseen.”

This saying is compared to people who do their works by relying on God, in their lives. Those people have great faith in God who gives them strength for carrying out their duties, until they finish them well, because of His power. They get a lot of wealth from their families, and they raise their people well, because of relying on God, in their lives.

Those people are similar to those who praised God after cultivating food crops and getting success, because they also do their works until they finish them by relying on God, in their lives. That is why they say that, “we praise the unseen.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of trusting God and carrying out all their duties by relying on Him, so that they can get blessings of having many successes in their lives.

Agapandika munhu oguntongela uyo agamitija ng’wisanza gutu kunguno ya kugaiwa witegeleja bhokwe untongeji okwe ng’winuyo. Hunagwene untongelwa agayomba giki, “nagathitiwa ng’wi sanza gutu.”

Umunhu ng’winuyo, agabhalekanijaga sagala abhanhu abho agabhatongelaga kunguno ya gugaiwa witegeleja bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agabhajimijaga sagala abhanhu bha ha kaya yakwe yiniyo kunguno ya kugaiwa witegeleja bhunubho, umukikalile kakwe kenako.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agamitya ng’wisanza gutu ung’wiye, kunguno nu weyi agabhalekanijaga mpaga bhajimila sagara abhanhhu bhakwe bhenabho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhenabho, bhagombaga giki, “nagathitiwa ng’wi sanza gutu.”

KISWAHILI: NIMEPITISHWA KWENYE WIGO.

Chanzo cha msemo huo, huongelea juu ya kupitishwa kwa mtu kwenye wigo. Mtu huyo, alienda ugenini kwenye kijiji fulani ambacho alikuwa hajafika huko. Alipata mtu wa kumuongoza kwenda huko ambaye alimpitisha kwenye wigo kwa sababu ya kukosa umakini wake. Ndiyo maana yule aliyeongozwa alisema kwamba, “nimepitishwa kwenye wigo.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye huwaongoza watu bila kuwa na umakini, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwatelekeza hovyo watu anaowaongoza kwa sababu ya kukosa umakini huo, maishani mwake. Yeye huwapoteza hovyo watu walioko kwenye familia yake, kwa sababu ya kutokuwa na umakini huo katika uongozi wake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyempitisha mwenzake kwenye wigo, kwa sababu naye huwatelekeza watu wake hao mpaka wanapotea hovyo. Ndiyo maana watu hao husema kwamba, “nimepitishwa kwenye wigo.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuwaongoza vizuri watu wao hao, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao hizo, maishaini mwao.

ENGLISH: I HAVE BEEN PASSED ON THE BACKYARD.

The source of the above saying talks about leading a person on a backyard. There was a man who went on a visit to a certain village that he had not been there before. He found someone to guide him there who passed him on the backyard because of his lack of focus. That is why the guided one said that, “I have been passed on the backyard.”

This saying is related to a person who leads people without being focused, in his life. Such person carelessly neglects people whom he leads because of lack of focus in his life. He carelessly loses his family members, because of that lack of focus in his leadership.

This person is similar to the one who passed his noble on the backyard, because he also abandons his people until they are lost. That is why one of those people say that, “I have been passed on the backyard.”

This saying imparts in people an idea about being focused on leading their people well, so that they can be successfully in raising well their families in their societies.

Yeye hupata Baraka za kuwa na mali nyingi na kuishi vizuri na watu, kwa sababu ya bidii yake hiyo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na ule moshi unaofuka kwa bidii hata wakati wa kunyesha mvua, kwa sababu naye ana bidii ya kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yake, na yale ya kumwabudu Mungu, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humuongelea kwamba, “moshi ni bibi kizee mwenye bidii asiyesimama hata wakati inanyesha mvua.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao na yale ya kumwabudu Mungu kwa bidii kubwa, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THE SMOKE IS A DILIGENT OLD LADY WHO DOES NOT STOP EVEN WHEN IT IS RAINING.

This saying looks at a performance of smoke. Such smoke burns even when it rains non-stop because it is as diligent as an old lady who works all the time. That is why people say that, “the smoke is a diligent old lady who does not stop even when it is raining.”

This saying is compared to a person who is diligent enough to do God’s work in his life. Such person uses the power given to him by God for carrying out his duties and those of worshiping God, because of his diligence. He gets blessings of having a lot of wealth and living well with people, because of his hard working life.

This person resembles the smoke that burns diligently even when it rains, because he is also diligent enough to carry out his duties well, and those of worshiping God, in his life. That is why people say that, “the smoke is a diligent old lady who does not stop even when it is raining.”

This saying teaches people about using great enough effort to carry out their duties well and that of worshiping God, so that they can get blessings for nurturing their families well, in their lives.

Aho kale olihoyi munhu uyo ali na makoye mingi umuwikaji bhokwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, ojizukaga ishuku yakwe ijo jabhita osunduhala umu moyo gokwe kunguno ya makoye mingi ayo agabhitila. Uweyi agayugiganika amakoye genayo gabhiza guti obhitilaga ng’wipolu mpaga nose ni shiku jakwe ja bhutongi oyujibhona jili na makoye guti ajile ng’wipolu, kunguno ya mayange ayo ogiyumilijaga genayo umukikalille kakwe. Hunagwene agayomba giki, “bhutongi ipolu ni numa ipolu.”

Akahahile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agiyumilijaga gugamala makoye mingi umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikalaga ukoya na makoye mingi ayo agagamala chiza bhuli makanza ulu gigela kunguno ya wiyumilija bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agailelaga chiza ikaya yakwe bho gwigunana ugugamala amakoye kihamo kunguno ya wiyumilija bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Yeye huilea vizuri familia yake kwa kusaidiana katika kuyatatua kwa pamoja matatizo yanayowakumba, kwa sababu ya uvumilivu wake huo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyeyatatua kwa uvumilivu matatizo yaliyokuwa yakimsumbua, kwa sababu naye huyamaliza kwa uvumilivu matatizo yanayomkumba katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana yeye husema kwamba, “mbele pori na nyuma pori.”

This saying is equaled to a person who endures many problems in his life. Such person struggles to solve problems that happen to him until he finishes them well, because of his patience. He takes care of his family well by helping each other to solve together problems which they face, because of his patience in life.

This person relates to the one who patiently solved the problems that were bothering him, because he also patiently solves the problems that plague him in his life. That is why he says that, “front wild and back wild.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of having strong cooperation enough to solve with patience the problems which they face in their lives, so that they can bring progress to their families, in their lives.

Yeye hushindwa kuiendeleza vizuri familia yake kwa sababu ya kufanya kazi kwenye vibarua vya mashamba ya watu na majivuno yake hayo, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyefanya kazi ya mtu mwingine, akafikiria kuwa ni yake, kwa sababu naye hufanya kazi kwenye vibarua na kusema kwamba, anafanya kazi kwenye Shamba lake. Ndiyo maana watu husema juu yake kwamba, “huyu naye ni dalali tu.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kufanya kazi za watu kwa uaminifu na unyofu wa kweli, ili waweze kuzilea vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

This saying is equated to a person who is proud of a job that is not his, in his life. Such man works as a laborer and says that he works on his farm, because of his pride, in his life. He fails to develop his family properly because of working in the fields of people and his pride in his life.

This person is similar to the one who did someone else’s work, and thought it was his, because he also works on the laborers and said that, he is working on his Farm. That is why people say about him that, “this one is just a broker.”

This saying teaches people about doing people’s work with honesty and sincerity, so that they can raise their families well in their life.
