Aho kale bhalihoyi bhanhu abho bhali bhaja kulombo na nva yabho. Inva yao yiniyo yanunhilijaga unsu go ndimu ulu yabhijimija mpaka yakupandika chiza na gwiyubhona indimu yiniyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhenabho bhagayomga giki, “yapula nsu.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alina masala gagujichola isabho mpaga ujipandika umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agagatumamilaga chiza amasala gakwe bho guitilila bhukengeji imilimo yakwe na gwigulambija guitumama chiza mpaga oyimala, kunguno ya masala gakwe genayo, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi apandikaga sabho ningi noyi aha kaya yakwe yiniyo kunguno ya gugatumamila chiza amasala gakwe genabho, umukikalile kakwe kenako.

KISWAHILI: AMENUSA HARUFU.

Hapo zamani walikuwepo watu waliokuwa wanawinda wanyama poli na mbwa wao. Mbwa huyo alikuwa akimtafuta mnyama wanayemuwinda anapowapotea kwa kunusa harufu yake mpaka anampata. Ndiyo maana watu hao walisema kwamba, “amenusa harufu.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana akili za kutafuta mali mpaka anaipata katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huitumia vizuri akili yake hiyo kwa kuzifanyia utafiti kazi zake na kujibidisha kuzitekeleza vizuri mpaka anazimaliza kwa sababu ya akili yake hiyo, maishani mwake. Yeye hupata mali nyingi sana katika familia yake kwa sababu ya kuzitumia vizuri hivyo akili zake hizo, katika maisha yake hayo.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule mbwa aliyemtafuta mnyama kwa kunusa harufu yake mpaka akampata, kwa sababu naye huitumiza vizuri akili yake kwa kutafuta kazi na kuzitekeleza vizuri mpaka anafanikiwa kupaka mali nyingi katika familia yake, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kamba, “amerusa harufu.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuelewa namna ya kuzitumia vizuri akili zao kwa kujibidisha kuzitekeleza vizuri kazi zao, ili waweze kupata mali nyingi katika familia zao hizo.

ENGLISH: IT HAS SNIFFED THE SMELL.

In the past, people hunted wild animals with the help of dogs. When the animal escaped or became lost, the dog would search for it by following its scent. The dog carefully sniffed the ground and tracked the smell until it found the animal. Because of this ability, people would say, “It has sniffed the smell.”

This saying is compared to a person who has intelligence and determination to search for success and wealth in life. Just as the dog follows the scent without giving up, a wise person uses his mind carefully. He studies his tasks, plans well, and works hard until he achieves his goals. Through persistence and intelligence, he succeeds and brings prosperity to his family.

That person is like the hunting dog that tracks the animal by its scent until it finds it. In the same way, he uses wisdom and careful thinking to identify opportunities and carry out his work successfully. Because of this effort and intelligence, he gains wealth and improves his life.

Therefore, when people say, “It has sniffed the smell,” they are praising someone who is clever, observant, and hardworking in seeking success.

This saying teaches people to use their minds wisely, work diligently, and to remain focused until they achieve their goals and bring prosperity to their families.

KISWAHILI: MU WAGANGA.

Msemo huo huangalia watu walioelewa dawa za kusaidia watu. Watu hao walitengeneza dawa za kuponya watu wao kwa sababu ya kuwajali vizuri wenzao hao. Ndiyo maana watu hao waliwaambia watu hao kwamba “mu waganga.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale wanaowajali wenzao katika maisha yao. Watu hao, hujitolea katika kuwasaidia wenzao hao kwa kujibidisha kufanya kazi zao kwa nguvu na kuishi vizuri na wenzao hao, kwa sababu ya upendo wao huo kwa watu wao hao, maishani mwao. Wao huyatatua kwa haraka matatizo ya watu wao hao kwa sababu ya upendo wao huo wa kuwajali vizuri wenzao hao, katika maisha yao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale waliowasaida watu wao kwa kutumia dawa zao zilizoponya majonjwa yao, kwa sababu nao huwajali vizuri watu wao kwa kuwasaidia katika kutatua matatizo yao, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu hao huwaambia kwamba, “mu waganga.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na upendo wa kuwasaidia watu wao katika kuyatatua matatizo yao kwa haraka, ili waweze kuishi kwa furaha maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: YOU ARE TRADITIONAL DOCTORS

This saying refers to people who understand medicine and use their knowledge to help others. In the past, traditional doctors prepared herbal medicine to cure diseases because they cared deeply about the well-being of their communities. For this reason, people would say to them, “You are traditional doctors.”

This saying is compared to people who genuinely care about others in their daily lives. Such people dedicate themselves to helping their fellow human beings. They work hard, live peacefully with others, and quickly respond when someone is facing a problem. Their actions are motivated by love and compassion.

Just as traditional doctors use their medicine to heal the sick, these caring individuals use their wisdom, kindness, and effort to help solve the problems of others. Because of their willingness to serve and support their community, people describe them by saying, “You are traditional doctors.”

This saying teaches the importance of love, compassion, and readiness to help others solve their problems so that everyone may live happily and peacefully.  That is say, true love for others is shown through actions, by helping, healing, and supporting one another.

Exodus 20:17 – Teaches us not to covet what belongs to others, encouraging contentment and good relationships.

Ephesians 5:3 – Encourages people to live pure and honorable lives.

2 Peter 2:14 – Warns against sinful desires and urges people to live righteously.

Golihoyi moto uyo goli ntemuku gete umuchalo jilebhe. Umoto gunuyo gobhakaga noyi mpaka nose abhanhu bhuyugogoha ugugwela kunguno ya bhukali bhogo bhunubho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagagupambuka nose ugugwegela kunguno gobhachomaga ulu bhagwegela. Hunagwene bhagayombaga giki “moto ntemuku dilalanhane.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu abho bhadebhile ugwikala na bhanhu abhashilimu, umukikalile kabho kenako. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagikalaga bho wilalanhanu bhutale umubhutumami bhobho ulu bhalikala na bhanhu abhashilimu bhenabho, kunguno ya witegeleja bhobho bhunubho umuwikaji bhobho. Abhoyi bhagabhalangaga chiza abhanhu bhabho ugwikala chiza na bhanhu abhashilimu bhenabho, kunguno ya wegegeleja bhobho bhunubho, umukikalile kabho.

Abhanhu bhenabho, bhagikolaga nabho bhilalanhanaga chiza nu moto untemuku gunuyo, kunguno nabhoyi bhagikalaga bho wilalanhanu na bhanhu abhashilimu bhenabho, umuwikaji bhobho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhenabho bhagayombaga giki, “moto ntemuku dilalanhane.”

Akahayile kenako kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza na witegeleja bho gwikala chiza na abhanhu abhashilimu bhenabho umuwikaji bhobho, kugiki bhadule gwikala bho mholele umukaya jabho.

KISWAHILI: MOTO UMECHACHAMAA TUJIHADHARI.

Ulikuwepo moto mkali sana sehemu fulani. Moto huo, ulikuwa mkali sana mpaka watu waliuogopa kuusogelea kwa sababu ya ukali wake huo. Watu hao, waliuogopa kwa kukaa mbali nao kwa sababu uliwachoma wale walioukalibia. Ndiyo maana walisema kwamba, “moto umechachamaa tujihadhari.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale wanaoelewa kuishi vizuri na watu wajanja, katika maisha yao. Watu hao huishi kwa tahadhari na watu walio na ujanja huo kwa sababu ya umakini wao huo maishani mwao. Wao huwafundisha vizuri watu wao namna ya kuishi vizuri na watu hao wenye ujanja kwa sababu ya umakini wao huo, katika maisha yao.

Watu hao hufanana na wale walioishi mbali na moto mkali mpaka wakasalimika, kwa sababu nao hujihadhari wanapoishi na watu wajanja, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu hao husema kwamba, “moto umechachamaa tujihadhari.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuishi kwa tahadhari wanapoishi na watu wajanja, ili waweze kuishi kwa amani kwenye familia zao.

There was a very hot fire in a certain place. The fire burned fiercely, and people were afraid to go near it because of its great heat. Anyone who touched it would be burned. For this reason, people warned one another by saying, Fire is raging, be careful.”

This saying is compared to people who know how to live wisely among clever or cunning individuals in their lives. Such people live cautiously because they understand the danger of carelessness when dealing with cunning people. They also teach others how to live carefully and wisely in such situations.

Just as people keep a safe distance from a raging fire to avoid being burned, wise people are careful when living with clever or cunning individuals so that they may remain safe and at peace. That is why people say, Fire is raging, be careful.”

This saying teaches people to live with caution and wisdom, especially when dealing with cunning people, so that peace may be maintained in families and in the community.

Olihoyi munhu uyo osataga nkono umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo obhalomelaga abhiye umuosatilaga kunguno ohayaga gupandika wambilijiwa bho gugupija wangu. Uweyi agabhawila abhie bhenabho chiza mpaga bhuyidebha nose isata yakwe yiniyo. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagayomba giki, “alisata nwazwa.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agagudililaga chiza umili gokwe bho guguchala kubhugota ulu osataga, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agajaga kusitali wangu ulu osataga ogalagulwa mpaga opila wangu kunguno ya witegeleja bhokwe bhunubho ubho gugudilila chiza umili gokwe gunuyo, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agapilaga wangu uluosataga kunguno ya gwanguha kuja kusitali ulu osataga chiniko, umukikalile kakwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo ojaga kusitali wangu ulu osataga ogalagulwa mpaga opila chiza, kunguno nuweyi agajaga kusitali wangu ogalagulwa mpaga opila chiza, umuwikaji bhokwe bhunubho. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagangwilaga giki, “alisata nzwazwa.”

KISWAHILI: ANAUMWA MKONO.

Alikuwepo mtu aliyekuwa anaumwa mkono katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, aliwasimulia wenzake juu ya maumivu yake kwa sababu ya kutaka kupata msaada wa kumwezesha kupona haraka. Yeye aliwaeleza wenzake hao vizuri, mpaka wakaelewa kuwa ana ugonjwa huo. Ndiyo maana walisema kwamba, “anaumwa mkono.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye anaumakini wa kuujali mwili wake kwa kuupekeleka hospitalini anapoumwa, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwahi kwenda hospitalini kwenda kupata matibabu mpaka anapona haraka kwa sababu ya umakini wake huo wa kuujali mwili wake anapojisikia maumivu, maishani mwake. Yeye hupona haraka maradhi yanayompata kwa sababu ya kuwahi kwenda kutibiwa hospitalini anapougua, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyewahi kwenda hopitalini alipougua, kwa sababu naye huwahi kwenda hospitalini anapougua, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu husema juu yake kwamba, “anaumwa mkono.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kuwawahisha wagonjwa wao kutibiwa hospitalini wanapoumwa, ili waweze kupona haraka vya kutosha kuendelea kuzitunza familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: HE HAS A SORE HAND

This saying comes from the story of a man who had a sore hand. Because of the pain, he informed his friends about his condition so that he could get help and recover quickly. He explained his problem clearly until his friends understood that he was sick. That is why they said, “He has a sore hand.”

This saying is compared to a person who takes good care of his body by seeking medical treatment whenever he is sick. Such a person goes to the hospital as soon as he feels pain, receives proper treatment, and recovers quickly because of his attentiveness to his health. As a result, he does not allow illness to worsen in his life.

That person is similar to the man with the sore hand, because he does not hide his sickness or ignore it. Instead, he seeks help early. That is why people say about him, “He has a sore hand.”

This saying teaches people to take illness seriously and to ensure that sick people are taken to the hospital for treatment. By doing so, they can recover quickly and continue caring for their families and fulfilling their responsibilities in life.

Walikuwepo watu walioalikwa kwenye kikao cha kuongelea jambo fulani. Watu hao waliwahi vizuri kufika kwenye kikao hicho kwa sababu ya umakini wao huo. Ndiyo maana watu walisema kwamba “walipofika wakaanza mazungumuzo.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa watu wale wenye umakini wa kuwahi kwenda kuyatekeleza majukumu yao vizuri katika maisha yao. Watu hao huwahi kufika kazini kwao na kuwatekeleza majukumu yao mpaka mwisho kwa sababu ya umakini wao huo, maishani mwao. Wao hupata mafanikio mengi sana katika familia zao, kwa sababu ya umakini wao huo wa kujibidisha kuyatekeleza majukumu yao vizuri, katika maisha yao.

Watu hao hufanana na wale waliowahi kufika kwenye kikao chao mpaka kikafanyika vizuri wakati ulipofika, kwa sababu nao huwahi kufika kazini kwao na kujibidisha kuyatelekeleza vizuri majukumu yao mpaka wanayamaliza, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana watu husema kwamba, “walipofika wakaanza mazungumuzo.”

Msemo huo hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na umakini wa kujibidisha kuyatekeleza majukumu yao mpaka wanayamaliza vizuri, ili waweze kupata mafanikio mengi katika familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY STARTED THE CONVERSATION

This saying refers to people who were invited to a meeting to discuss an important matter. They arrived on time and well prepared because they were attentive and responsible. As soon as they arrived, they began the discussion without delay. That is why people say, “When they arrived, they started the conversation.”

This saying is related to people who are attentive and diligent in carrying out their duties in life. Such people arrive at their work on time and perform their responsibilities faithfully until the end. Because of their attentiveness and commitment, they achieve much success in their families and in their lives.

These people are like those who arrived at the meeting and immediately began the discussion when the time came. In the same way, they arrive at their work and exert themselves to carry out their duties well until they complete them. That is why people say of them, “When they arrived, they started the conversation.”

This saying teaches people to be diligent, responsible, and committed in carrying out their duties until they complete them well, so that they may achieve great success in their family lives.
