1260. NAPONYA UNG’WANA NUSAJA IHESHI.

Akahayile kenako kahoyelile higulya ya bhabyaji abho bhali na ng’wana uyo olindamu ugubhigwa. Abhabyaji bhenabho, bhantumaga ung’wana obho ng’wunuyo, ukija ugubhadilila chiza kunguno ya bhugayiwa bhokwe bho likujo ukubhoyi chiniko. Hunagwene umo o bhabyaji bhakwe bhenabho, agayomba giki, “naponya ung’wana nusaja iheshi.”

Akahayile kaneko kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo ali nambu ugubhigwa abhatale bhakwe, umukikalile kakwe kenako. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agatumagwa guja gujutumama milimo na bhatale bhakwe bhenabho, ulema kunguno ya nhinda jakwe jinijo, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agadumaga ugwikala chiza aha kaya yakwe kunguno ya bhulambu bhokwe bhunubho, umukikalile kakwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo otumagwa gujutumama milimo na bhabyaji bhokwe okija ugubhadilila, kunguno nuweyi agatumagwa gujutumama milimo na bhatale bhakwe olema uguja, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene umo o bhatale bhakwe bhenabho, agayombaga giki, “naponya ung’wana nusaja iheshi.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya kuleka nhungwa ja bhulambu bho bhulema gutung’wa na bhatale bhabho, kugiki bhadule gupandika mbango ya gubhiza na matwajo mingi, ga gujibheja chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: NILITUPA MTOTO NIKABAKIZA KONDO LA NYUMA.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya wazazi waliokuwa na mtoto aliyekuwa mgumu kuwatii. Wazazi hao, walikuwa wakimtuma mtoto wao huyo, bila ya yeye kuwajali vizuri, kwa sababu ya kukosa heshima kwake kwa wazazi wake hao. Ndiyo maana mmoja wa wazazi wake hao alisema kwamba, “nilitupa mtoto nikabakiza kondo la nyuma.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana kiburi katika kuwasikiliza wakubwa wake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, hutumwa kwenda kufanya kazi na wakubwa wake hao bila ya kuwajali, kwa sababu ya kiburi chake hicho, maishani mwake. Yeye hushindwa kuishi vizuri nyumbani kwake kwa sababu ya kiburi chake hicho, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na mtoto yule aliyekosa utii kwa wazazi waliomtuma kwenda kufanya kazi, kwa sababu naye hukataa kuwatii wakubwa wake wanaomtuma kwenye kufanya kazi, katika maisha yake. Ndiyo maana mmoja wa wakubwa hao husema kwamba, “nilitupa mtoto nikabakiza kondo la nyuma.”

Msemo huo, huwafundisha watu juu ya kuacha kuwa na kiburi kwa wakubwa wao wanaowatuma kwenda kufanya kazi, kwa kuwa na utii kwao, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuziendeleza vizuri, familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: “I THREW THE BABY AWAY AND KEPT THE PLACENTA.”

This saying speaks of parents who had a child that had difficult in obeying them. Those parents sent their child to do something without him taking good care of them, because of his lack of respect to them. That is why one of his parents said that, “I threw the baby away and kept the placenta.”

This saying is equated to a person who has pride that prevents him from listening to his seniors, in his life. Such person is sent to work by his superiors without caring about them, because of his pride, in his life. He fails to live well in his home because of his pride, in his life.

This person is similar to the child who disobeyed his parents sent by not going to work, because he also refuses to obey his leaders who send him to work, in his life. That is why one of them says that, “I threw the baby away and kept the placenta.”

This saying teaches people about being obedient to their leaders who send them to work, by being humble to them, so that they can get blessings for bringing development to their families, in their lives.

Abhanhu bhenabho bhagalimaga jiliwa jatulwa mbula na jakula mpaga japya aliyo bhadamona uyo agiyenhaga imbula yiniyo. Abhoyi bhaganzunyaga Mulungu bho gulola miito ayo agabhitilaga umuwikaji bhobho. Hunagwene bhagayombaga giki, “dugankumilijaga ujidab’onwa.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu abho bhagatumamaga milimo yabho bho gung’wisanya Mulungu, umukikalile kabho.  Abhanhu bhenabho bhalinaguzunya gutale ukuli Mulungu uyo agabhinhaga nguzu ja gutumama milimo yabho mpaga bhayimala chiza, kunguno ya bhudula bhokwe bhunubho. Abhoyi bhagapandika sabho ningi umukaya jabho, na kubhalela chiza abhanhu bhabho kunguno ya gung’wisanya Mulungu chiniko, umuwikaji bhobho.

Abhanhu bhenabho bhagikolaga nabho bhalimaga jiliwa bhabisha na kunkumilija Mulungu, kunguno nabhoyi bhagatumamaga milimo yabho mpaga bhayimala chiza bho gung’wisanya Mulungu, umuwikaji bhobho. Hunagwene bhagayombaga giki, “dugankumilijaga ujidab’onwa.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gunzunya Mulungu, na kutumama milimo yabho bho gung’wisanya Weyi mpaga bhayimala, kugiki bhadule kupandika mbango ja gubhiza na matwajo mingi, umuwikaji bhobho bhunubho.

KISWAHILI: TWAMSIFU ASIYEONWA.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya watu ambao humsifu yule asiyeonwa, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, hulima mazao ya chakula ambayo hunyeshewa mvua mpaka yanazaa bila kumuona yule alinayeileta mvua hiyo. Wao huamini kuwa Mungu yupo kwa kuyaangalia matendo anayowatendea hata kama hawamuoni. Ndiyo maana wao husema kwamba, “twamsifu asiyeonwa.”

Msemo huo hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao hufanya kazi zao kwa kumtegemea Mungu, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, wana imani kubwa kwa Mungu ambaye huwapa nguvu za kuyatekelezea majukumu yao, mpaka wanayamaliza vizuri, kwa sababu ya uwezo wake huo. Wao hupata mali nyingi kwenye familia zao, na huwalea vizuri watu wao, kwa sababu ya kumtegemea Mungu, maishani mwao.

Watu hao, hufanana na wale waliomsifu Mungu baada ya kulima mazao ya chakula na kupata mafanikio, kwa sababu nao hufanya kazi zao mpaka wanazimaliza kwa kumtegemea Mungu, maishani mwao. Ndiyo maana wao husema kwamba, “twamsifu asiyeonwa.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kumwamini Mungu na kuyatekeleza majukumu yao yote, kwa kumtegemea Yeye, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuwa na mafanikio mengi, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: WE PRAISE THE UNSEEN.

This saying parleys about people who praise the unseen one in their lives. Those people grow food crops that are rained on until they bear fruits without seeing the one who brought the rain. They believe that God exists by looking at actions which He does to them even if they do not see Him. That is why they say that, “We praise the unseen.”

This saying is compared to people who do their works by relying on God, in their lives. Those people have great faith in God who gives them strength for carrying out their duties, until they finish them well, because of His power. They get a lot of wealth from their families, and they raise their people well, because of relying on God, in their lives.

Those people are similar to those who praised God after cultivating food crops and getting success, because they also do their works until they finish them by relying on God, in their lives. That is why they say that, “we praise the unseen.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of trusting God and carrying out all their duties by relying on Him, so that they can get blessings of having many successes in their lives.

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako ilolile katumamile ka lyochi. Ilyochi linilo ligazukaga nulu igutulaga mbula bho nduhu ugwima guti ngikulu uyo alinkamu gutumama milimo yakwe bhuli makanza. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagalitanaga giki, “ilyochi alingukulu nkamu uyo adimaga nulu ilitula mbula.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo alinkamu gutumama milimo ya ng’wa Mulungu, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhutumilaga ubhudula ubho bhunhwa nu Mulungu bho gutumama milimo yake na gunamya Weyi chiza, kunguno ya bhukamu bhokwe bhunubho. Uweyi agapandikaga mbango ja gusabha na gwikala na bhanhu chiza, kunguno ya bhukamu bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe.

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gwigulambija gutumama milimo yabho na gunamya Mulungu bho bhukamu bhutale, kugiki bhadule kupandika mbango ya gujibheja chiza ikaya jabho, umuwikaji bhobho.

KISWAHILI: MOSHI NI BIBI KIZEE MWENYE BIDII ASIYESIMAMA HATA WAKATI INANYESHA MVUA.

Chanzo cha msemo huo, huangalia utendaji kazi wa Moshi. Moshi huo, hufuka hata wakati mvua inanyesha bila kukoma kwa sababu una bidii kama ya bibi kizee afanyaye kazi wakati wote. Ndiyo maana watu huuita kwamba, “moshi ni bibi kizee mwenye bidii asiyesimama hata wakati inanyesha mvua.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule ambaye ana bidii ya kufanya kazi ya Mungu, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huutumia uwezo aliopewa na Mungu kwa kuyatekeleza majukumu yake na yale ya kumwabudu Mungu, kwa sababu ya bidii yake hiyo. Yeye hupata Baraka za kuwa na mali nyingi na kuishi vizuri na watu, kwa sababu ya bidii yake hiyo, maishani mwake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na ule moshi unaofuka kwa bidii hata wakati wa kunyesha mvua, kwa sababu naye ana bidii ya kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yake, na yale ya kumwabudu Mungu, maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humuongelea kwamba, “moshi ni bibi kizee mwenye bidii asiyesimama hata wakati inanyesha mvua.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kujibidisha kuyatekeleza vizuri majukumu yao na yale ya kumwabudu Mungu kwa bidii kubwa, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuziendeleza vizuri familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: THE SMOKE IS A DILIGENT OLD LADY WHO DOES NOT STOP EVEN WHEN IT IS RAINING.

This saying looks at a performance of smoke. Such smoke burns even when it rains non-stop because it is as diligent as an old lady who works all the time. That is why people say that, “the smoke is a diligent old lady who does not stop even when it is raining.”

This saying is compared to a person who is diligent enough to do God’s work in his life. Such person uses the power given to him by God for carrying out his duties and those of worshiping God, because of his diligence. He gets blessings of having a lot of wealth and living well with people, because of his hard working life.

This person resembles the smoke that burns diligently even when it rains, because he is also diligent enough to carry out his duties well, and those of worshiping God, in his life. That is why people say that, “the smoke is a diligent old lady who does not stop even when it is raining.”

This saying teaches people about using great enough effort to carry out their duties well and that of worshiping God, so that they can get blessings for nurturing their families well, in their lives.

1249. PANDIKAGA MHIYA (JIKOLO) DUJIMANE NH’UNGWA JAKO.

Akahayile kenako kahoyilile bhumanyiki bho nh’ungwa ja ng’wa munhu uyo opandikaga sabho. Olihoyi munhu uyo oliadamanyikile chiza inh’ungwa jakwe umu jili aho oliatali ugujipandika imiya. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, aho ojipandika imiya abhanhu bhagajimana inh’ungwa jakwe kunguno agayubhadosa abhiye. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wila giki, “pandikaga mhiya (jikolo) dujimane nhu’ngwa jako.”

Akahayile kenako, kagalenganijiyagwa kuli munhu uyo agabhaga sabho wandya guyubhadosa abhiye, umukikalile kakwe. Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agabhadarahaga abhanhu abho bhadinajo isabho kunguno ya bhudoshi bhokwe bhunubho, umuwikaji bhokwe. Uweyi agagayiyagwa imbango ijaguyilela chiza ikaya yakwe kunguno ya gudoshiwa na sabho jakwe jinijo, umukikalile kakwe.

Umunhu ng’wunuyo, agikolaga nuyo agapandika sabho wandya guyubhadosa abhanhu abho bhadinajo isabho, kunguno nuweyi agabhadarahaga abhanhu abho bhadina sabho guti jakwe, umukikalile kakwe. Hunagwene abhanhu bhagang’wilaga giki, “pandikaga mhiya (jikolo) dujimane nhu’ngwa jako.”

Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu abho bhajipandika isabho higulya ya guleka nh’ungwa ja gubhadosa abhanhu abho bhadina sabho, kugiki bhadule kupandika imbango ja kujilela chiza ikaya jabho, umubhulamu bhobho.

Msemo huo, huongelea juu ya ujulikanaji wa tabia ya mtu aliyepata mali. Alikuwepo mtu ambaye tabia yake haikufahamika vizuri wakati hajapata pesa. Mtu huyo, alipopata pesa watu waliifahamu tabia yake kwa sababu alianza kujivuna kwa kuwadharau wale ambao hawajapata mali kama zake. Ndiyo maana watu walimwambia kwamba, “pata pesa (mali) tujue tabia yako.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa mtu yule aliyetajirika kwa kupata mali akaanza kuwadharau wenzake, katika maisha yake. Mtu huyo, huwadharau watu wale ambao hawana mali kwa sababu ya majivuno yake hayo maishani mwake. Yeye hukosa Baraka za kuilea vyema familia yake kwa sababu ya kulingia mali zake hizo, katika maisha yake.

Mtu huyo, hufanana na yule aliyepata pesa akaanza kuwadharau wenzake, kwa sababu naye pia huwadharau watu wale ambao hawana pesa, kama zake maishani mwake. Ndiyo maana watu humwambia kwamba, “pata pesa (mali) tujue tabia yako.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu wenye mali juu ya kuacha tabia ya kuwadharau wale ambao hawana mali, ili waweze kupata Baraka za kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

ENGLISH: GET MONEY (PROPERTY) SO WE KNOW YOUR CHARACTER.

This saying talks about character recognition of a person who got wealth. There was a man whose character was not well known when he did not earn money. That person, when he got money, people knew his behavior because he started becoming proud by looking down on those who have not got wealth like his. That is why people told him that, “get money (property) so we know your character.”

This saying is compared to a person who got rich by getting wealth and started to despise his colleagues, in his life. Such person despises those who have no wealth because of his pride in his life. He misses blessings of raising his family well because of his pride in life.

This person is like the one who got money and started despising his colleagues, because he also despises people who do not have money, like his own in his life. That is why people tell him that, “get money (property) so we know your character.”

This saying imparts in rich people an idea of stopping looking down on people who do not have money, so that they can get blessings for raising their families well, in their lives.

Imbuki ya kahayile kenako ihoyelile munhu nkwilima na nkwiye, nulu nina bhukwi na ng’winga okwe. Abhanhu bhenabho aha bhatali ugwimanila bho gulya kihamo, bhagabhulagaga ntugo guti mbuli, nulu ng’holo ya gusanja makono. Hunagwene ulu bhabhulagaga untugo gunuyo abhanhu bhagahaya giki “bhasanjaga makono.”

Akahayile kenako kagalenganijiyagwa kubhanhu abho bhali nikujo ukubhatale na bhageni bhabho, umukikalile kabho. Abhanhu bhenabho bhagabhambilijaga chiza abhatale bhabho na gubhakaribhusha chiza abhageni abho bhagajaga aha kaya jabho kunguno ya likujo lyabho linilo, umuwikaji bhobho. Akahayile kenako, kalanga bhanhu higulya ya gubhiza ni kujo lya kubhambilija abhatale na gubhokalibhusha chiza abhageni bhabho umukaya jabho kugiki bhadule kujilela chiza ikaya jabho jinijo, umubhulamu bhobho.

KISWAHILI: WAMEKUTANISHA MIKONO.

Chanzo cha msemo huo chaongelea juu ya baba mkwe na mkwilima wake au mama mkwe na mkaa mwana wake. Watu hao kabla hawajazoeana kwa kula pamoja, huchinja mfugo kama vile mbuzi au kondoo wa kukutanisha mikono. Ndiyo maana wale waliokula mbuzi huyo watu husema juu yao kwamba, “wamekutanisha mikono.”

Msemo huo, hulinganishwa kwa watu wale ambao wana heshima kwa wakubwa na wageni wao, katika maisha yao. Watu hao, huwasaidia wakubwa na kuwakaribisha wageni wao vizuri katika familia zao, kwa sababu ya heshima yao hiyo, maishani mwao. Wao huishi na watu wengi na mali nyingi kwenye familia zao, kwa sababu ya kuwalea katika malezi mema watu wao hao.

Watu hao hufanana na wale waliochinja mfugo wa kukutanisha mikono, kwa sababu nao wana heshima ya kuwasaidia vizuri wakubwa wao na kuwapokea vizuri wageni katika familia zao. Ndiyo maana watu husema juu yao kwamba, “wamekutanisha mikono.”

Msemo huo, hufundisha watu juu ya kuwa na heshima ya kuwasaidia watu na kuwakaribisha wageni kwenye familia zao, ili waweze kuzilea vyema familia zao, maishani mwao.

Waefeso 6:1-4.

Mithali 4:1-9.

ENGLISH: THEY HAVE JOINED HANDS.

This saying talks about the father-in-law and his daughter-in-law or the mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law. Those people, before they get used to eating together, slaughter livestock such as goats or sheep for joining their hands together in their families. That is why those who ate the goat, people say about them that, “they have joined hands.”

This saying is equated to people who have respect to their superiors and guests, in their lives. Those people, help their elders and welcome their guests well in their families, because of their respect, in their lives. They live with many people and many assets in their families, because of raising their members in a good upbringing.

Those people are similar to those who slaughtered livestock for being together with their new family members, because they also have an honor of helping their elders and receiving guests well in their families. That is why people say about them that, “they have joined hands.”

This saying imparts in people an idea of having sound respect to each other enough to help people and welcome strangers in their families, so that they can raise their family members well in their lives.
